The beauty of an Android phone is that you can customize almost every aspect of your phone. If you have been wondering how to make your Samsung Galaxy phone’s Home screen look more appealing, we will help you achieve just that.

1. Set a Custom Wallpaper

Samsung Galaxy phones offer a nice variety of wallpapers that can be set on the Lock or Home screen. But you can also set any custom image from your gallery as your phone’s wallpaper as shown in the following steps:

Select “Gallery” and choose the picture that you want to set as your wallpaper. Tap on “Done.”

You’ll be asked whether you want to use the same wallpaper for the Lock and Home screen or different wallpapers. Uncheck “Lock screen” if you want to apply the wallpaper only to the Home screen. Then, tap on the “Preview” button.

Use the pinch in and out gesture to zoom in and out of the wallpaper. Finally, tap on “Done.”

Pro Tip: You can set custom wallpaper on your Samsung Galaxy phone from the gallery as well. Open the desired photo in the Samsung Gallery app and tap on the three-dot icon. Select “Set as wallpaper.”

If you wish to use a custom photo as your phone’s wallpaper, you can customize it by adding a filter to it so that it matches the aesthetics of your Home screen.

Uncheck “Lock screen” and tap on “Preview.”

On the preview screen, tap on the “Filter” button and apply the desired filter from the list at the bottom.

You can have the Samsung stock app icons like Phone, Messages, Notes, etc. use a color palette based on the colors in the Home screen wallpaper. That way your entire phone including Quick settings and other areas will have the same color palette.

Turn on the toggle next to “Apply palette to color icons” and finally hit the “Apply” button.

Instead of the App drawer, you can have all your installed apps show on your phone’s Home screen. For that, you will have to disable the App drawer or the Apps screen.

Select “Home screen only” and hit the “Apply” button.

Whether you want to change the size of app icons or have more apps showing on the Home screen, Samsung lets you do both.

Select the grid size (number of columns x number of rows) from the options at the bottom and hit “Done.”

Samsung also lets you customize the number of rows or columns in an app folder.

If you enjoy using Google Discover Feed on your phone, you can add it on your Samsung phone as well without using a third-party app.

Tap on “Add media page to Home screen.”

Enable it on the next screen and choose “Google Discover.”

Good to know: swipe to the leftmost page of your Samsung Home screen and you will see the Google Discover Feed.

The dock is the area at the bottom of your Home screen. By default, Samsung allows you to add only four apps to the dock. But, you can add one more app or folder in the dock if you disable the App drawer icon.

Turn off the toggle next to “Show apps button on Home screen.”

Now, go to your Home screen and drag any app or folder to the dock.

Your Samsung phone will automatically create new pages to accommodate more apps. But you can also manually add more Home screen pages.

To do so, long press on any empty space on the home screen.

Scroll through the available pages until you see the empty page with the “+” button.

Tap on it to create a new page.

Then, press anywhere to add the page.

To remove any Home screen page, long press any empty space on the Home screen.

The available pages will show up. Tap on the “Delete” icon at the top of the page that you want to remove.

Note: deleting a page will only remove the app icons from the Home screen, they will not be deleted permanently.

If you have customized a certain Home screen page to your liking, you can set it as your main Home screen page instead of the default one.

To change the main Home screen page, long press anywhere on the Home screen. The available pages will show up.

Tap on the “Home” icon on the top of the page that you want to set as the main page.

The home screen pages will show up in the order that they were created on your Samsung Galaxy phone. But, you can reorder them according to your preference.

For that, touch and hold an empty space on the home screen. Once the pages show up, hold and drag the home screen that you want to move to its new position.

It wouldn’t surprise you if we told you that you could add widgets to your home screen pages. It’s also possible to resize them.

Add the desired widget to the home screen.

Long press on the widget until you see a border around the widget.

Drag the widget using one of the circular symbols on the border to resize it.

If you like having widgets on the home screen but are bothered by the sheer amount of space that they take, Samsung One UI 5 has a solution for you in the form of widget stacks. As the name suggests, a widget stack can hold multiple widgets in the place of one widget.

To create a widget stack, first, add one widget to the Home screen. For that, long press on the Home screen and select “Widgets.”

Add the desired widget by pressing the “Add” button on the widget.

Long press on the widget on the Home screen and select “Create stack.”

Select another widget that you want to add to the stack and hit the “Add” button. Similarly, add more widgets.

After you have created a widget stack, you need to swipe right or left on the widget stack to switch between widgets.

Tip: Long press on the widget stack and select “Edit” stack to delete any widget from the stack.

Another Home screen customization that you can make on your Samsung Galaxy phone is to change the app icon badge style. You can choose from a number or dot style.

Tap on “App icon badges.” Select the preferred badge style.

What’s customization if you can’t apply themes? Thankfully, Samsung Galaxy phones let you customize your entire phone including the Home screen by using themes.

The folders that you have created on the Home screen will typically show in a full-screen view on your Samsung Galaxy phone. But, you can change it to open in a pop-up style with the help of the Good Lock app.

Install and open the Good Lock app on your Samsung Galaxy phone.

Tap on the “HomeUp” module to download it. Once the process is completed, tap on it again to open it.

3 Ways To Bypass Google Verification On Samsung Phones

If you have forgotten the account credentials and could not enable the OEM unlocking from settings to unlock it. Or in the worst scenario, the Samsung phone has been reset and is now locked with Google FRP. AppSwiper is a brand new jailbreak tweak that allows you to kill running apps with a simple swipe gesture. The gesture, which is performed on app icons situated on the Home screen, invokes a pop-up window displaying the amount of RAM that the application is currently using.

Along with the RAM readout, you’re greeted with two buttons — cancel, and kill. The cancel button takes you back to the Home screen without performing any actions, and the kill button stops the app from running.

AppSwiper is a great jailbreak tweak for those of you who like to micromanage running apps. Have a look at our video walkthrough inside for all of the details.

To make it easy to identify running apps on your Home screen, AppSwiper places a colored bar underneath all running apps on the Home screen. Only apps that have this colored bar are running, and hence; only these apps can be killed with a swipe gesture.

After installing AppSwiper, a new preference panel is added to the stock Settings app. In this panel you’ll find several settings that can be used to configure the way AppSwiper looks and feels.

The first option found in AppSwiper’s preferences is a toggle for the confirmation alert box. This is the box that pop’s up prompting you to kill the application in question after using the swipe up gesture. You can bypass this box and immediately kill the app by turning this option off. Zte Axon 20 With World’s First Under Screen Camera To Launch On September 1

Previously, ZTE’s President for Mobile Devices Ni Fei; first approved that ZTE will be the world’s first smartphone brand to; announce a smartphone with game-changing under-display camera technology. From SRRC and TENAA certifications, it is revealed that the model number of the upcoming smartphone is ZTE A2121. As, ZTE 2023 debuted as an Axon series phone called ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G; it appeared that the ZTE A2121 could be an Axon series handset. The Weibo post through which Fei confirmed the smartphone revealed that it could be called ‘ZTE A20 5G.’

From TENAA, it is revealed that the ZTE Axon A20 5G has dimensions measuring 172.1 x 77.9 x 7.9mm. The smartphone is fitted with a 1080 x 2460 pixels Full HD+ resolution display supporting screen size of 6.92 inches. As the USP of the phone goes, there is no selfie camera notch or punch-hole on the display; instead, the 32-megapixel front-facing camera is implanted under the display sitting behind the screen.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an anonymous 2.4GHz octa-core chipset; which may be coupled with 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB RAM alongside 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB storage models in China. It is the first thing you will change when you log in to your PC. We all love to have our favorite wallpapers, and Windows 11/10 offers you many features. So here how you can change it

Select Background. Here you get to see a preview of how it will look like with the current wallpaper or the one you set up with.

You have three options here using the drop-down.

Picture: Select an image you want to use. You can then arrange right from being fit on the screen to span it across in the form of tiles.

Solid Colour: You can choose one from the color picker if you like it, plain and simple.

Slideshow: This option lets you select more than one picture of your choice and then keep changing it every few seconds.

If you notice closely, there is a bit of color throughout the Windows experience. The default is set to blue. If you want to change it, use the Colors section. Here you can choose from the available standard colors or use the color picker. The color will be used everywhere, including Start, Taskbar, Action Center, and so on.

What I like is the option to change accent color based on background wallpaper. So every time the wallpaper changes, I get a new accent color, and it keeps the look fresh.

If you choose the automatic accent color option, you can skip showing accent color for Start, Taskbar, action center, and title bars. Also, I would suggest keeping the transparency effects turned on. Windows 11/10 comes with Fluent Design, and they look fantastic. Lastly, you can choose between Dark and Light themes for your apps.

Like Desktop Backgrounds, you can customize the Lock Screen to display a Picture or Slideshow or Windows Spotlight.

For those who aren’t aware, Windows Spotlight is an option for the lock screen background that displays different background images and occasionally offers suggestions on the lock screen. I would suggest you read about Windows Spotlight, also try this Windows Spotlight tool which saves them as wallpaper on your PC – but let’s talk about the Cortana integration.

You can also configure the Lock Screen Status from Calendar and use the same wallpaper as the Lock Screen on the Login screen.

While this is not new, but I highly recommend you to use it daily. Like how you get notifications and previews from apps on your phone, you can choose apps to display similar notifications on the lock screen to avoid missing what is essential.

Here you can choose up to seven apps to display notifications along with your calendar. So if you working on two different machines, just looking at this machine will give you a clear idea that you are not missing anything important.
