Here’s a short description for those that are yet discovering and learning about this game:
The game consists of several deals, each progressing through four phases: dealing the cards, the auction (also referred to as bidding), playing the hand, and scoring the results.
However, most club and tournament play involves some variant of duplicate bridge, where the cards are not re-dealt on each occasion. In its most basic form, Bridge is played by four people in two teams of competing partnerships.
The points of the compass identify players, so North and South play against East and West.
More can participate, either as individuals or pairs or as teams of up to six, in informal tournaments or social gatherings where the sponsoring host prescribes the governing rules of the event.

50 Best Steam Games You Should Play In 2023
When it comes to PC games, Steam is arguably one of the top storefronts, and of course, we had to pick fifty of our favorite best games from there. From the likes of Dishonored, Dying Light, and the Batman Arkham collection to Hotline Miami and Hades, among many others, we have a stellar collection of Steam games here for you. With Steam sales happening periodically throughout the year, you should know which games to add to your wishlist or get right now. So, without further ado, let’s look at the 50 best Steam games that you should definitely play in 2023.
1. Deus ExThe first game is my favorite title by the now-defunct game developer Ion Storm. Deus Ex is an RPG where you play as a cybernetically enhanced UNATCO agent JC Denton. The game is set in 2052, where shadow organizations and conspiracy theories are true. What initially starts like a typical action RPG slowly devolves into a fantastic story, with the player uncovering society’s hidden secrets. Deus Ex popularized the immersive sim genre, giving you various choices to approach any mission.
While the graphics and gameplay may feel dated to many, thanks to the passionate community, there are a handful of mods available to fix that. While I prefer playing Deus Ex with the GMDX mod, we suggest downloading the Deus Ex: Revision mod from Steam, which is free of cost. The storyline and gameplay easily make Deus Ex a worthy title to get included in our best Steam games list.
2. Black MesaHalf-Life by Valve changed gaming in a turbulent way. While the second Half-Life and its episodes paved the way for features like realistic game physics, the first Half-Life gave us the gift called the GoldSRC engine. Unfortunately, the original Half-Life never got a Source engine treatment by Valve. Crowbar Collective, a group of modders turned developers banded together to remake the first Half-Life. And well, that resulted in Black Mesa.
As mentioned above, Black Mesa is a source engine remake for the first Half-Life, adding every feature that the engine brings with itself. Black Mesa also deviated from the original game by making subtle level design choices, giving a unique spin to it while not losing the Half-Life identity.
Furthermore, the developers created one of the most hated sections of the original game, Zen, into something marvelous. So, this is worth picking up if you never played Half-Life. Or, if you have played it before, why not replay it again?
Buy Black Mesa ($19.99)
3. Yakuza 0Buy Yakuza 0 ($19.99)
4. XCOM 2A tactical-strategy game, XCOM2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed XCOM: Enemy Unknown. While the previous title put you in the shoes of the commander of a secret organization battling against an alien invasion, XCOM 2 makes you control the same organization. Only this time, the aliens are running the Earth, and you and XCOM have become fugitives. The game has an active timer system, making most missions time-sensitive. Furthermore, the game features character permadeath, giving a sense of urgency to the gameplay.
XCOM 2 is a top-notch title that warrants a playthrough, and a Steam game that made me obsessed with tactical turn-based combat titles.
Buy XCOM 2 ($23.93)
5. Fallout: New VegasWhat ensues is them getting entangled in a civil war between two factions and venturing into the oddities in a post-nuclear Vegas. The game’s brilliant writing and exploration make it a must-play title in our best Steam games list. However, much like every Bethesda title, this game requires modding to run properly. Hence, we suggest following this guide to fix your game before exploring the Mojave desert.
Buy Fallout: New Vegas ($9.99)
6. Killer7Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacturer is known to create eccentric games having a deeper meaning. Killer 7 fits itself exactly into that mold. An on-rails shooter with puzzle mechanics, Killer7 puts you in the shoes of Harman Smith and his seven personalities, who are proficient in doing the job in various ways. Hired by the US government to combat the terrorist organization Heavenly Smile, Killer7 becomes a deconstruction of current world politics, human interaction, and other thoughts.
This was the first major title that helped famed Japanese developer SUDA51 reach cult status in the West. Another game that stands the test of time thanks to its story and gets a place on our best Steam games list.
7. Deep Rock GalacticRock and Stone! This is a quote that will become all too familiar as you start teaming up with your friends and clear multiple mining expeditions in the Deep Rock Galactic, a co-op tactical mining shooter. The goal in this game is simple – pick a job, assemble a team of dwarves, complete your mining expeditions, and drink beer upon success. You get to choose between four unique classes before each journey and venture into a procedurally generated cave system, which is fully destructible.
Deep Rock Galactic has amassed a lot of goodwill over the years, and anyone who enjoys co-op games will tell you that this is the go-to title if you have friends to spend some time mining. And if you do not, fret not, as the game has one of the most helpful communities.

8. HadesHades is a roguelike action game that puts you in the shoes of Zaegreus, the son of Hades, as he tries to escape the underworld realm. Battle your way through a changing labyrinth filled with mythological creatures, powerful weapons, and divine abilities.
Buy Hades ($24.99)
9. DuskIn an era where Call of Duty became the go-to standard for FPS, Dusk brought back the much-needed fast-paced retro shooters. Paying homage to games such as Quake and Unreal Tournament, the game pits you against a hoard of monstrosities in fast-paced, blood-soaked battles. With its chilling atmosphere and loud soundtrack, Dusk is a love letter to classic shooters and will make you return. And, when you are bored of the single-player, bring a few groups of friends and boot up the multiplayer for some deathmatch.
Buy Dusk ($19.99)
10. Vampire The Masquerade: BloodlinesInfamous for how broken the game launched, which can be fixed by the Unofficial Patch, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines is an RPG that puts you in the shoes of a fledgling vampire in Los Angeles. Taking place in the tabletop RPG universe of World of Darkness, the game is known for its impeccable story and writing. That alone has helped gain the game its cult status over the years. As you start doing various jobs for Camarilla, you uncover a secret conspiracy that might shake the very core of the vampire order.
Buy Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines ($19.99)
11. System Shock 2While Looking Glass’s System Shock introduced the immersive sim genre of games to the audience, it was System Shock 2 that elevated the formula. Developed by Irrational Games, the developers of Bioshock, System Shock 2 sees you fight your way through a spaceship full of infected cybernetic soldiers rampaging. With a sentient AI hell-bent on killing, you must explore and employ any possible solutions to escape from the ship while preventing the AI from annihilating humanity.
System Shock 2 lets you pick from three disciplines with unique skills, weapons, and psionic powers. Furthermore, there are several audio and text logs to discover, which give a necessary backdrop to everything that happened on the ship. With the remaster by Nightdive Studios coming soon, download and try the game.
Buy System Shock 2 ($9.99)
12. DishonoredDishonored lets you decide on the approach, giving you multiple tools to experiment and have fun with. This results in two people having different gameplay experiences from each other. Furthermore, if you want to play the game like a traditional stealth game, then do not opt into the Outsider’s powers and boons. The sheer choice the game provides you makes Dishonored a great title.
Buy Dishonored ($19.99)
13. BlasphemousBlasphemous is a dark and twisted Metroidvania that puts you in the helmet of the Penitent One as they journey through a cursed land of penance and redemption. With its eerie visuals, unforgiving gameplay, and deep lore, Blasphemous will test your skills in an unforgettable pilgrimage of torment. Since the sequel to Blasphemous is launching later this year, try out the game that started it all.
Buy Blasphemous ($24.99)
14. No More HeroesBuy No More Heroes ($19.99)
15. Devil May Cry: HD CollectionStep into the shoes of Dante, the protagonist of Devil May Cry: HD Collection, as you battle hordes of supernatural enemies in stylish hack-and-slash combat. This version of the game comes with three classic games remastered for modern platforms, delivering epic demon-slaying action, jaw-dropping visuals, and a devilishly good time. Oh, and just as a reminder, you can skip Devil May Cry 2.
Buy Devil May Cry: HD Collection ($29.99)
16. Okami HD 17. Binary DomainAround mid-2012, the developers of Yakuza wanted to deviate from creating the beat-em-up series and venture into the cover-shooter space. What resulted is Binary Domain, a third-person cover shooter by Sega.
Set in a futuristic Tokyo, Binary Domain players take charge of an international team on a mission to unearth a conspiracy while battling hordes of deadly robots. With intense gunplay, dynamic AI interactions, and a narrative that challenges the player’s moral choices, Binary Domain delivers thrilling gameplay and an exploration of humanity’s relationship with technology.
Buy Binary Domain ($14.99)
18. Darkest DungeonA 2D-roguelike RPG, Darkest Dungeon, sees you assembling a team of flawed heroes and guiding them through nefarious dungeons filled with deadly creatures and traps. Manage their sanity, battle horrors, and make tough decisions in this nail-biting turn-based game. With its haunting atmosphere, strategic depth, and punishing difficulty, Darkest Dungeon will test your courage and sanity.
19. Disco ElysiumDisco Elysium has a lot of drama revolving around how the original creators were ousted by investors. Regardless, we cannot deny that this is a work of art in the form of video game. An open-world CRPG, Disco Elysium puts you in the shoes of a detective unraveling a murder mystery in a gritty city plagued by corruption and decay. You navigate a dystopian world, engage in deep conversations, and influence your character’s morality, skills, and sanity. With a thought-provoking narrative and beautiful art style, Disco Elysium is a masterpiece.
Buy Disco Elysium ($39.99)

Each game happens in three locations, starting with Batman Arkham Asylum, where players fend off Joker’s trap in Arkham Asylum of Gotham.

Dive into a psychedelic world of violence, wearing animal masks as you unleash top-down shooter action. With its soundtrack by the likes of Carpenter Brut, challenging gameplay, and a head-scratching narrative, Hotline Miami 1 and 2 delivers an adrenaline-fueled experience that will hook you to the last bullet.
The game also got a homage recently in the action movie John Wick: Chapter 4, so why not give it a try? Especially seeing that the game goes for cheap during the Steam sales.

Polygon Invests In Decentral Games To Take Play
Polygon (MATIC), a leading full-stack Ethereum scaling solution, and Decentral Games (DG), the world’s first metaverse gaming DAO where players can make money by participating in play-to-earn style gameplay, have formed a strategic partnership to take play-to-earn games mainstream.
Along with the announcement of their partnership, Polygon has initiated a strategic investment in Decentral Games by way of staking the gaming DAO’s native $DG governance token. The token, launched in late 2023, has seen rapid appreciation due to the platform’s expanding cash flows from its growing number of metaverse gaming venues and the appreciation of its treasury assets.
The $DG token has increased by a multiple of 13 times its initial value. This is on top of an attractive yield, which as Venture Beat notes is currently 19% APY for $DG investors who choose to stake their tokens. Moreover, the Decentral Games treasury has ballooned to over $12M in total value at the present time of writing.
Decentral Games, built on an Ethereum blockchain, has built Layer 2 on Polygon since 2023. Its contributions have become one of the most significant sources of transactions on the Polygon network. As the third-largest node on Polygon with over $131 million of $MATIC transactions, Decentral Games generates an additional source of revenue for $DG token holders through running their validator node. This stream has grown to represent a cumulative impact of $1.9M in additional income, which is held in the Decentral Games treasury.
Following a series of successful game launches including NFT games, roulette, poker, blackjack, and more, Decentral Games is set to take the emerging play-to-earn narrative mainstream. Decentral Games is incentivizing its growing base of loyal consumers to engage with the platform daily for the chance to develop a new source of income simply by playing their games.
To meet the demand for innovative, play-to-earn style gameplay, Decentral Games recently announced its deflationary ICE token product. The product allows players to earn rewards by way of completing daily poker challenges which in turn allows them to increase the value of their NFT’s and increase their daily token bonuses.
NFT’s are upgraded by way of burning ICE, creating a steady upward pressure on the asset that will incentivize early adopters and frequent players alike. The development of ICE Poker will continue to increase transaction volumes and consequentially, increase revenue to the DG DAO, thus benefiting $DG token holders as adoption escalates.
To illustrate the upside potential of this development for $DG holders, investors can look to Axie Infinity ($AXS) as one point of comparison. Since implementing their play-to-earn mechanism, $AXS holders have reaped the benefits of treasury growth which currently stands at an aggregate valuation of $19M. Today, investors are valuing the totality of the Axie project at a $4.1B market cap.
Decentral Games by comparison has amassed a $12M treasury in less than 9 months since inception and is well on its way towards reaching similar cash flows to that of Axie. However, the market seems to be underpricing the growth potential given $DG’s modest market cap of $75M.
The comparison to Axie is generating optimism among $DG investors who believe Decentral Games will continue to execute successfully upon their ambitious play-to-earn driven strategy and become a leader in the next generation of gaming and metaverse technology.
— Decentral Games (@DecentralGames) September 8, 2023
“Polygon is thrilled with the developments made by Decentral Games thus far, and we look forward to partnering with them as they continue to innovate and diversify what they can offer as a blockchain entertainment platform and Metaverse,” said Shreyansh Singh, Head of Gaming and NFTs at Polygon.

Best Paid Games For Iphone In 2023
I’m sure all of us love free games. However, with microtransactions now a mainstay in gaming, most free games have a lot of content locked behind paywalls. Essentially, the initial download is free, but everything else needs to be paid. Due to this, I prefer iPhone games that ask for a payment outright.
These games unlock most (if not all content) right after the initial payment. This becomes a much more enjoyable experience. Here’s the list of the best paid iPhone games that are worth your every penny.
1. Minecraft – Editor’s choice
The amount of content that Minecraft offers you as a player is simply insane. There’s no doubt that it’s one of the best paid iPhone games of all time.
While the graphics and aesthetics are different and almost retro, the gameplay will keep you hooked. You can play the creative mode with infinite resources and freedom. Build an entire town or the fanciest castles and let your imagination go crazy.
There’s a survival mode in which you have to survive each night while scavenging for supplies, building your base, and protecting yourself from the creatures of the night. Minecraft’s survival mode is surprisingly detailed and difficult.
There’s also a lot of mod support from the community, and you can apply the mods to change the in-game behavior and gameplay. This adds a ton of replayability.
The only issue I’ve found is that the game freezes and crashes frequently. Hopefully, the developers can iron this out in future updates.
Price: $6.99 (In-app purchases start at $1.99)

2. Plague Inc. – Best simulation game
Plague Inc. might hit a bit too close to home, considering the current situation. However, it’s still one of the best simulation games for iPhone you can play today.
In this game, you aren’t tasked as a fancy scientist or soldier who has to stop the virus. The roles are reversed – you have to control the virus and ensure it wipes out the world.
Each action you take in the game has consequences, and humanity will try to adapt and defend itself against each variation and update of your virus. Your goal is to infect the world before the virus is killed.
The game teaches us about health safety, hazards, and how international collaborations could work in such scenarios. Additionally, the game is fun, and you’ll have to strategize with each move you make.
The game has inconsistent difficulty spikes, however. So be wary of that when playing it.
Price: $0.99 (In-app purchases start at $0.99)

3. Monopoly – Best board game
The classic board game that has occupied most of our childhood is now available for mobile devices. Thankfully, it’s one of the best iterations of a board game that you can find.
You can play this game against the AI, but I’ve found it much more enjoyable as a family game. Moreover, there’s an in-game video chat integration feature that allows you to play face-to-face with friends in different areas.
You have to become the wealthiest property tycoon amongst other players. You can play this game with the classic rules. However, if you want to make things more interesting, you can select your own house rules to make the gameplay unique.
There’s also a Season Pass that adds a ton of content to the already huge game. It adds different locations, themes, and pieces as well.
However, the game requires a strong internet connection as it can frequently disconnect in the middle of online games.
Price: $3.99 (In-app purchases start at $4.99)

4. Dead Cells – Best action game
I’ve played Dead Cells on the PC before it was released to the mobile audience. I’m happy to state that the finesse of the PC version has been brought to the iPhone with this port.
Dead Cells is an incredibly difficult game. However, it’s also equally rewarding. The game has a roguelike structure and also features a permadeath. If you die on any level in the game, you will have to replay the game from the beginning.
Moreover, the levels are procedurally generated. Each playthrough is different than the other. You can also find the best elements from action and role-playing games in Dead Cells. Besides, all the DLCs released on PC are available in the mobile version.
I recommend you to play this game on a bigger screen, though. The control scheme doesn’t go very well with smaller screens. An even better option would be if you could use a good gamepad.
Price: $8.99 (In-app purchases start at $3.99)

5. Crashlands – Best paid iPhone game without in-app purchases
Crashlands might not seem like much at first glance. However, it is an expansive role-playing game worth your time (and money).
The story follows a galactic trucker whose shipment is stolen, and they find themselves stranded on an alien planet. Your mission is to retrieve your packages. While you do so, you’ll become a part of a dangerous plot of domination.
Ultimately, as the player, you have to thrive on the planet. This means you have to engage with NPCs, fight deadly bosses, and learn the secrets of the planet itself. Moreover, there are over 500 craftable items in the game. So, let your imagination run free!
The game suffers from some issues with in-game navigation, however. So you’ll have to bear this when you’re playing the game.
Price: $6.99

6. Townscaper – Best casual game
Townscaper is one of those games that will make you dive into nostalgia. It’s got very simple gameplay, and it’ll also help you relax.
There’s no goal to the gameplay as such. Townscaper lets you choose colors, blocks, and design your city, town, or hamlet.
This may sound boring, but in reality, the gameplay is pretty addictive. You can play this for hours, building the best town with the right arches, bushes, and backyards for different houses.
Moreover, the game’s aesthetics aren’t difficult on the eyes, and the audio is mild enough to help you concentrate on your building efforts.
I feel the construction options need to have more diversity and freedom. But otherwise, the game is spot-on.
Price: $4.99

7. Exploding Kittens – Best card game
When it comes to card games, very few have captured my attention as much as Exploding Kittens has.
This is a multiplayer card game in which the objective is to be the last person standing. You’ll have to keep drawing cards until a person draws a card with an Exploding Kitten. After the kitten explodes, the player who drew the card is out of the game.
You can even diffuse the kitten with laser pointers and belly rubs, available on some cards. The rest of the cards are simply used to keep the game flowing and change the order of draws.
The game can be played with up to 5 players, either locally or online. Considering the simple yet elegant premise of the game, there’s no doubt why this is one of the most funded games in Kickstarter history!
If you play against the game’s AI, it can get challenging on any difficulty level. I’d recommend you to play this only with your friends or online.
Price: $1.99 (In-app purchases start at $0.99)

8. Playdead’s LIMBO – Most underrated puzzle game
Playdead has always made some hauntingly beautiful games. LIMBO is one of their first hits.
It is one of the best paid puzzle games for iPhone. You have to solve multiple puzzles as you progress through the narrative. The audio and graphics create an eerie atmosphere that grips you instantly.
This is a difficult game; make no mistake. You will die multiple times in an attempt to complete a puzzle. However, the effort that you put into the game is worth it.
One of the caveats of this game is that there’s only one way to solve the puzzles. I wish that the developers had added more variety to the solutions.
Price: $3.99

GRIS is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. While this sounds like an exaggeration, it isn’t. GRIS will tug at your heartstrings and leave you in awe at the beautiful artwork and noteworthy story.
The game’s story is also highly relatable. The protagonist experiences a traumatic event and learns to deal with the pain. As you play through the story, you’ll realize that the game is actually about her journey to the other side of that experience and how she learns to deal with the trauma in a better way.
The intro section of the game is a bit buggy, though. So you may encounter some glitches when you first boot the game.
Price: $4.99

Monopoly
Monopoly Android version brings the classic money trading game right to your smartphones. Officially licensed by Hasbro, monopoly allows you to buy, sell and rent your way to the top of your city.
It has two game modes: classic, where common house rules are applied to the game and a quick mode, where players get to finish the game finishes as soon as one of the players is bankrupt. The quick mode also reduces the time it takes to get out of jails and build hotels as well. It also has a single-player mode where you can challenge the AI for some time killing experience.
When you are with friends you can switch to local gameplay mode where you can play with up to 4 friends on a single device. Monopoly uses a pass and play format which is fairly intuitive and has a fun trading experience.

Gameloft has seen massive success in the past decade thanks to the Asphalt series. The game was first introduced during the era of T9 phones and has slowly evolved into a massive franchise.

NBA Jam
NBA Jam is one of the most popular basketball games ever made for the mobile platform. The game was introduced almost a decade ago and I remember playing it when Sony Ericsson still existed. The game has been revamped for different platforms over the years while maintaining its true to life mechanics and over the top moves.
You get to experience real-time NBA roster players and even make your own team in the process. The game can be played in multiple ways, single-player, career mode, local multiplayer or online multiplayer. Local multiplayer allows you to go head to head with your friends for bragging rights while the online multiplayer allows you to dish it out against your Google Games friends.

The concept is quite simple, you select a category and put the device to your head. Your friends will take turns giving you hints about the new card from the category that is being displayed on the phone. If you guess it right, you tilt the phone downwards, if you wish to skip/pass you tilt it upwards.

Pocket Tanks
Pocket Tanks is a gem of a game that has been adapted from an earlier version named Scorched Tanks. Scorched Tanks was developed and released in 1993 and soon gained huge popularity in the gaming community for its quirky graphics, excellent in-game mechanics and the tons of destruction that could be caused by a single tank.
The game was adapted for major platforms including Windows, macOS, Android & iOS in the early 2000s and has been a popular two-player title ever since then. The gameplay is quite simple and easy to understand, you select a color for your tank and then you are presented with a random selection of weapons by the game.
Players can either take turns choosing a weapon for themselves one by one or let the computer do it for them. Afterward, you are taken to a 2D playing field modeled after a specific terrain that can be selected in settings. Here you simply aim and take a shot on your opponent.
Each hit or miss gives you points and hitting your own self will deduct points. The player with the most points at the end of a round wins the game. What makes the game so competitive is that it is quite hard to judge the trajectory of your weapon.
Additionally, tons of different kinds of weapons also play a role in how they are executed. Lighter weapons require less power while heavier ones will require more. If you have never had your hand on Pocket Tanks before you should definitely try it.
The free version has support for 140 different weapons and comes with all the classics like digger, napalm, skipper, cruiser and more. And if you are happy with the game but would like to take it up a notch, then you should try the deluxe version with in-app purchases.
