How To Get Free Robux In 2023

There’s a lot of promises for free Robux out there. And there’s a whole lot of scams. The internet abounds with supposed ‘Robux Generators’, hacks, and phony promo codes promising millions of quick Robux.

And with the game getting grey around the temples at almost 15 years since the initial release, Roblox players are forced to wade through an overabundance of outdated guides and misinformation disguising actual ways to get free Robux.

Seriously, there are guides being published in 2023 about the Affiliate/Referral program that hasn’t been around for years. Luckily for you, we know what we’re talking about. Read on to learn real and legitimate ways to earn Robux without ever spending a dime.

► How to avoid Roblox: Adopt Me! scam

Get free Robux by developing games

The first and most powerful way of earning Robux is to help build its massive community — and have fun with it too. Roblox isn’t a game in and of itself. It’s a publishing platform for the user-generated games built within the Roblox Studio Engine. The Roblox Studio, with its simple voxel-based construction, is an excellent place for people to learn the ropes of game design and get their hands dirty with some practical game development experience.

Not to mention the best way to earn serious amounts of Robux — or, if you’re especially ambitious, piles and piles of real world money through the Developer Exchange program that lets you convert Robux into actual cash.

Indeed, there are massive games on the platform way, way past the free Robux stage. Games like Adopt Me! which attracts tens of millions of active players each month, earning DreamCraft, the developers, literal millions of dollars. Seriously, they employ well-paid, salaried game developers to work full-time on Adopt Me!

At first, that may sound like an unattainable goal. As the current Roblox leader with tons of manpower driving its development, Adopt Me! is, of course, a special case. But that doesn’t mean you can’t pocket more than enough Robux through Roblox Studio to fund a lavish Roblox player experience by yourself. There are thousands of games earning their creators tons of free Robux on a regular basis.

How to:

First, you’ll need to spend some time learning the basics of Roblox game development. It’s not difficult; Roblox has a massive amount of content and learning resources for aspiring developers. From game design to monetization, marketing, and device-optimization — absolutely everything you could possibly need is available in the form of written guides, video tutorials, and even pre-made game kits.

As a developer, you’ll earn the lion’s share of Robux on any and all purchases made within your game. You can choose to charge up-front for access to the game, create game passes to unlock privileges, sell items for player convenience in an in-game store, or do a combination of all of these.

Begin your journey as a Roblox developer here.

Learn the basics of Roblox Game Development here.

Get free Robux by selling game passes

A great way to make money through your game is to sell game passes that unlock special features for players inside your world — similar to premium membership or downloadable content in other, more familiar games.

These passes are limited to a one time purchase per player and can include anything, from lifting area restrictions, permanent boosts, unique abilities, and other special privileges.

How to:

Think critically about the kinds of passes that make sense for your game. Is it an MMORPG? Perhaps include some form of area-restriction, reserving entrance to swaths of explorable land behind a game pass. Or, if it’s a Battle Royale, maybe offer monthly cosmetic perks or exclusive reward tracks. Examine the games of the genre — and other genres for that matter — and the sorts of exclusive perks you could sell for one-time purchases.

The next step is to create an image, configure the pass, and upload it to the game. Remember: the game pass should provide players a tangible benefit that makes it worth the Robux. In a way, the game pass should sell itself — but nonetheless, make sure you promote it in-game! You can implement regular purchase prompts, NPC vendors, digital fliers. Get creative; Games like Adopt Me! even use literal in-game billboards to promote new products and events.

Learn how to create and sell game passes here.

Get free Robux by selling developer Products

As opposed to game passes, Developer Products can be purchased as many times as desired and can create a steady source of Robux income for the developers. These can be anything the player uses — ammo, equipment, consumables, collectibles.

Think about the resources important to your game, and consider how making them available for purchase might affect gameplay. While you certainly have a right to be compensated for developing your game and making it available, games that skew heavily towards pay-to-win often sour the playerbase and result in lower long term Robux income.

How to:

Simply use what you’ve learned from the Roblox Developer’s Hub to create the items you’ve conceived. Test them out, do experiments, and remember to keep tabs on the economy of your game.

You may have to tweak prices every now and then or use other forms of economic intervention to ensure there is always a demand for what you’re selling. You can use NPC vendors to distribute these items to players in-game or sell directly through the store featured on the game’s front page.

Learn more about Developer Products and in-game purchases here.

Get free Robux by designing Avatar clothing

The easiest way to create a robust Robux income source, designing Avatar Clothing doesn’t require you to invest hours of your time learning game design; Perfect for creative people otherwise uninterested in game development.

How to:

Roblox provides a preset clothing template. All you have to do is design something beautiful and paste it on the template. You don’t have to be a world-famous avant-garde fashion designer; This isn’t Fifth Avenue. Once you’ve created your article of clothing, merely upload it to the Catalog, set a price, and sit back while you gather commission with every purchase. Make something cool!

Read the Roblox guide on creating avatar clothing here.

Get free Robux by earning Google Play Credit

If game design isn’t your thing, and you’d rather spend time enjoying your favorite Roblox games, the other way to legitimately earn free Robux is by redeeming Play Store credit.

Remember: there is no such thing as free lunch. You will probably spend time filling out marketing surveys, downloading apps, or playing other games, but will earn Play Store credit that can be used to purchase Robux. It’s not glorious, but it is a concrete way to accrue that precious Robux without pulling out your wallet.

Where to earn Play Store credit:

Below are a few of the better-known places to earn Play Store credit. However, always be judicious about giving out your personal information. Whenever looking at a new site, be sure to read reviews and vet its credentials as best you can to avoid anything shady.

Watch Out for Scams

There are no Robux generators. Robux is a currency produced only by Roblox that operates like cash in your wallet, except impossible to counterfeit. Sites, YouTubers, apps that promise free Robux for nothing in return are always scams — often after your personal information or account logins. Our guide on ‘Adopt Me! scams‘ covers some cheap tactics extrapolated by scammers across the Roblox multiverse.

Robux Codes for June 2023

Every month, Roblox releases a few promo codes that players can redeem for free and exclusive avatar clothes right now. These codes don’t last forever, so hurry over to the Promo Codes page at the Roblox site and save yourself some of that hard-earned free Robux.

Thoughts? Which one is the best way to get free Robux for yourself?

Bend Windows 8 To Your Will With These Free Tools

Suggesting that reviews of Windows 8 have been mixed is a bit of an understatement, but you don’t have to take my word for it; Microsoft’s bold new operating system is available right now, and if you spend some time with it I wager there are elements of the operating system that you absolutely love (the speed!) and parts you might love to tie a rock to and fling into the nearest large body of water (the Start Screen!)

If you’re still on the fence about Windows 8, we have a few tips and tricks that might sweeten you on this already inexpensive upgrade. The PC permits unparalleled levels of customization, and third-party developers haven’t been sitting idly by, waiting with bated breath for Microsoft’s latest operating system to launch; they’ve been busy building new tools for tweaking your new operating system. Specifically, they’ve been working hard to create a number of different apps designed to reduce or eliminate Windows 8’s biggest annoyances, in addition to apps that allow you to customize Windows 8 more meaningfully than Microsoft permits by default.

So if you miss the Start button from Windows 7, if you’re an Apple fan who needs a little more visual consistency to ease your transition to Windows territory (or just install it on a virtual machine), or if you’re tired of looking at the same ol’ lock and start screens on Window 8, we have a great list of free utilities that you can use to bend Windows 8 to your will. Let’s get started!

Unleash a Lion with the OS X Skin Pack

Here’s a fun but controversial tweak for your Windows 8 operating system — if you’re an Apple enthusiast attempting to make the full plunge to a more productive OS, or if you drool with jealousy at your friends various MacDevices, then the OS X Skin pack is your ticket to a fully functioning Windows 8/OS X hybrid operating system.

RocketDock makes your Windows PC look like a Mac machine.

You can read full documentation on all the application you’re installing and how they work together on the Skin Pack website, but the most important programs include RocketDock, which grants you the ability to have a permanent shortcut bar full of icons on your screen that will automatically grow and shrink in size as you mouse between them, and Finderbar, which dumps a fairly convincing bar across the top of your screen that mimics the perma-menu-bar you’d find in OS X.

The Finderbar automatically updates when you run an application, but it doesn’t work quite as smoothly as OS X since programs like Microsoft Word will still give you an actual toolbar to work with. It can sometimes end up looking pretty goofy if you run applications with lots of tools and options, but that’s the risk you take in trying to blend the features of two disparate operating systems.

In addition, the DeskDrive utility causes an icon to pop up directly on your desktop whenever you slap a USB key onto your system or pop a disc in your drive.  It’s one of the many programs in the OS X Skin Pack that make your Windows PC work a little more like Lion, and it’s the kind of little detail that I particularly enjoy (I also appreciate the Skin Pack including the staple OS X screensaver, Flurry).

If you’re a little apprehensive about such a drastic OS makeover, know that switching back to Windows 8 is as easy as uninstalling the OS X Skin Pack.

At first glance, the Windows 8 Manager utility from Yamicsoft looks a bit dodgy and I was initially apprehensive this application might be a bit bloated with spyware or unnecessary programs; after downloading and testing the utility I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s safe to use and does offer a few unique features for Windows 8 customization (along with a smorgasbord of utilities for optimizing, cleaning, and securing your Windows PC).

First off, you can manually set how many rows you’d like your tiles to take up on the Windows 8 Start Screen. That alone isn’t something worth writing home about, but it’s still a tweak that could allow you to better organize your apps and lock Windows 8 into a more pleasing appearance.

The lion’s share of what Windows 8 Manager can do isn’t specifically geared for Windows 8 (you won’t find a way to disable the Start Screen outright, for example) but they’re still helpful tweaks for users who want a bit more control over the look and feel of their operating system.  For example, you can reduce the size of your alt-tab icons and disable various Aero features in the “Desktop” tab within the standard “Customization” window.  The “Taskbar” tab lets you stop your open windows from grouping within application icons, ditch previews entirely, and kill all the recent files that could otherwise appear in each icon’s “jump lists,” to name a few tweaks.

You can tweak the Taskbar, Desktop and other aspects of your PC to better match your unique needs.

While it would be great if Windows 8 Manager afforded you more power to bend Windows 8 to your will, I can’t fault this app too much because it does offer a fantastic amount of customization options for free (though you can register the product for $30 in order to receive free technical support and future updates).  It’s easy to use, easy to apply, and easy to revert: The three most-wanted elements of any OS system tweaking utility.

I’ve saved the best app for last because Classic Shell is probably the ultimate free tool for bypassing Windows 8’s most controversial features — specifically, the annoyance of having to always deal with Metro.

Classic Shell lets you have your cake and eat it too by changing the Windows 8 Start menu to fit your preference.

One important fact to note: Toward the very, very bottom of the Basic Settings tab is an option that comes checked by default, “Skip Metro Screen.”  When you next restart your system, you’ll notice that Windows 8’s Metro UI pops up as usual, but is quickly replaced by Windows 8’s Desktop Mode. that’s how Classic Shell works; it just automatically launches the Windows 8 Desktop as soon as you boot up your PC. If you ever want to go back, simply uncheck that “Skip Metro Screen” option.

But wait, there’s more!

Disable active corners to stop Windows 8 from annoying you with popups whenever you move your mouse to a corner of the screen.

In here, you’ll find an option that lets you switch “Disable active corners” from “Start screen” to “All,” removing the Metro bits that pop up whenever you hover your mouse in one of the four corners of your screen.

Testing note: Switching over to the app’s “All Settings” option gives you the ability to customize a special Classic Explorer toolbar that’s supposed to appear within File Explorer. I couldn’t quite figure out where this was, or how to get it to appear, so don’t go too crazy customizing a toolbar that might not even exist.

Tweakers beware!

I’ve covered three excellent utilities that I tested personally for this brief Windows 8 customization guide, and there are plenty more out there if you do a cursory Google search.  However, just because an app exists doesn’t mean that it’s going to be able to do exactly what it promises without error.  Since Windows 8 is so new, there are a number of apps that were created based on outdated versions like the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

For example, the app My WCP Start Screen Customizer – which sounds like a super-easy method for changing the color or image on the Windows 8 Start screen to anything you want – ended up slapping every single Metro tile I had into a single, huge row. Worse, it managed to bork my Start screen so badly that no app would even load.

In other words, don’t just install a bunch of tweaking apps the moment you find them.  Do a little research first or fire up a copy of Windows 8 running on a virtual machine (if you can somehow get past the licensing key requirement) and test your apps there before you use them to tweak your primary PC. If something goes wrong, you’ll be glad you did!

Buy Modern Warfare 3, Get A Free Smartphone

As if anything was needed to pump up sales of the much-anticipated release tomorrow of the latest in the line of the blockbuster video game franchise Modern Warfare, Best Buy is offering a free smartphone to anyone who buys the game from the electronics box store.

Of course “free,” means you’ll have to cut a two-year deal with a wireless carrier before you can get your hands on the phone, but that’s par for the course for that sort of thing. In addition, the offer is only for versions of the game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms.

Plans in the promotion are offered for three carriers: AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. AT&T voice plans range from $39.99 to $119.99 monthly, data plans (what good is a smartphone without data, right?) from $15 to $45 a month and unlimited text messaging costs an additional $20. Sprint offers voice, data and text packages from $69.99 to $189.98 monthly. Verizon voice plans, some of which include texting, range from $39.99 to $149.98 monthly, with data plans ranging from $30 to $100 a month.

Both 3G and 4G phones are included in the promotion. For AT&T, there’s the HTC Inspire, in either black or red. It runs Android 2.2 and supports 4G speeds, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth, and has an 8-megapixel camera and a music player.

The offering for Sprint is the HTC EVO 4G, in either black or white, with a 4.3-inch touchscreen, Android 2.2, 1GHz snapdragon processor, and two cameras—a low res one on the front and an 8-megapixel on the back.

The promotion‘s offering for Verizon is the HTC Droid Incredible 2, in either black or white, with Android 2.2, four-inch display, 3G speed and two cameras—a 1.3-megapixel front-facing unit and 8-megapixel rear shooter. It also has mobile hotspot support.

Best Buy’s attempt to cash in on the popularity of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to sell more smartphones is part of a long-term strategy to get consumers to connect the national retailer with buying a mobile phone. That strategy began five years ago when the company began building satellite mobile-only stores, as well as creating mini-stores focusing on cell phones within its box outlets.

“We want to get customers to realize there is a better way, and that better way is Best Buy,” Best Buy’s head of mobile marketing Allister Jones told Cnet in an interview.

Efforts to gain top-of-mind presence in the thinking of phone buyers have had mixed results, though, something Best Buy hopes to remedy with a good chunk of its $25 million holiday marketing blitz this year aimed at phone buyers.

In stepping up its marketing efforts, Best Buy is trying to catch the wave of consumers moving from feature phones to smartphones. According to a report released today by comScore , smartphones have penetrated 37.4 percent of the market. In September alone, 650,000 consumers switched from feature phones to smartphones every week, it reported, and by September of next year, market penetration should be 50 percent.

8 Ways To Care For Employees During The Pandemic

After over a year of living in a pandemic, business owners and leaders are still trying to figure out the best ways to care for their employees while prioritizing keeping their businesses running and serving customers and clients.

And while many businesses have done a great job at pivoting the way they engage with and support employees, many are still feeling like there’s more they can do. And some business owners may feel like they’ve missed the mark altogether.

If you’re looking for ideas, tips, and best practices for caring for your employees during challenging times – like in a pandemic – you’re not alone. And, we’re here to help!

We talked with expert Ashley Ellington, Employer Branding Project Manager, at Gannett, about the best ways business owners, leaders, and managers can care for employees during any time of change or crisis (like in a pandemic) and the simple steps you can take to make employees a priority.

Here are the top ways businesses can care for employees during the pandemic (and beyond!).

1. Have a Baseline Benefits Package

“When you look at caring for employees, it looks different for each one,” Ellington said.

So, one of the best ways Ellington says businesses can care for employees in this way is by having “a comprehensive benefits package.”

Ellington suggests taking a look at what you offer employees to make sure it’s inclusive of all their needs.

2. Be Mindful of Inclusion

In many of her roles, Ellington has done work with diversity and inclusion and has seen firsthand how businesses have both succeeded – and failed – at incorporating inclusion into their business practices.

And, she said, inclusion comes in many different forms. For example, one business she worked with at the start of the pandemic provided special resources and incentives to working parents, which was a huge help for them but left other employees without kids feeling forgotten, even while they were still struggling in their own ways.

Ellington says to look at the programs you’re providing and make sure you’re able to share resources and incentives that can help employees in any life stage or situation.

3. Give Your Employees Grace

At any time, but especially during a time when so many people are struggling, Ellington says grace is the most important quality employers, business owners, and managers can have for their teams.

“You don’t know what people are going through or everyone’s circumstances and situations, so offering that grace and flexibility is a huge thing,” Ellington said.

This may mean allowing your employees to work more flexible hours, being open to understanding the struggles your employees are experiencing, and looking for ways to give your employees extra help and support on days that may be more difficult than others.

4. Model Flexibility

Studies showed that workers took less time off last year and over 70% reported they were experiencing burnout (compared to just 42% prior to the pandemic).

One of the best ways Ellington says managers can help and support their employees is by modeling self-care and flexibility themselves.

“A lot of times, we hear from our managers to take time off or work flexible hours, but it’s often hard unless we see them doing it,” Ellington said. “We may not think it’s okay until we actually see them taking time off or working flexible hours.”

If you’re encouraging your employees to take time off to reset and recharge – which has been hard for many employees and managers in a largely remote working environment – it might help them (and you!) if you take some time off as well.

5. Find Creative Ways to Create a Healthy Work Environment

While not every business may be able to give employees paid mental health days or extra vacation, your business can look for creative ways to support employees and create a healthy work environment.

One way Ellington said a previous company she worked for did this is by enacting “no meeting” days on Thursdays – this gave employees a day to catch up on work, focus on projects, and take a break from constant interruptions in their day.

She also appreciated when her previous employer brought in a yoga teacher each week to give employees a way to destress and get moving during the workday – which may be more difficult to do in a remote work situation, but you can find other ways to provide this type of health and wellness resource to employees through webinars, discounted wellness apps, and free resources through your benefits provider.

6. Invest in the Full Employee

While baseline benefits are important, many businesses have become more invested in mental health resources and support for employees – especially during the pandemic when more adults are reporting symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Ellington says creating resource groups for those interested in mental health or sharing mental health resources can help employees feel both supported and accepted.

“You have to take care of yourself. And I think when we see that’s something that the company values and something that the company wants, it can go a long way for employees,” Ellington said.

7. Know Every Employee Is Different

It can be easy to roll out a size-one-fits-all approach for your employees and for your team, but the truth is that your employees have different needs and challenges that should be addressed.

“People handle crises very differently,” said Ellington. For example, many employees have thrived while working from home, and productivity has been up in many cases. But, for other employees, the isolation of working from home may have caused them to feel depressed and unmotivated.

By understanding that your employees will react differently to different situations and by taking time to listen, respond with grace, and provide accommodations, you can show that you care for your individual employees while helping them be successful.

8. Be Transparent

In times of crisis and change, one way to support your employees is by being transparent and keeping them informed of any potential changes or challenges that may impact them.
