Suggested January 2024 Active Directory Users And Computers Not Responding
If Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) is not responding or is slow to load on Windows Server or Windows 11/10 client machines, the solutions provided in this post can be applied to successfully resolve this issue on affected systems.
When you try to start the Active Directory Users and Computers tool, you may receive the error message along the following similar lines:
Contact your system administrator to verify that your domain is properly configured and is currently online.
Some affected users reported when they try to open from the icon (or run chúng tôi from command prompt), there are no errors at all – it just doesn’t open. No screen comes up and goes away, it’s like nothing was launched.
Active Directory Users and Computers not respondingIf Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) is not responding or is slow to load when you try to open the snap-in on a Windows computerC, you can try our recommended solutions below in no particular order to resolve the issue on the machine.
Change DNS to server IP or Localhost
Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Run DCdiag
Flush DNS
Configure TCP/IP filtering
Let’s take a look at the description of the process involved concerning each of the listed solutions.
1] Change DNS to server IP or LocalhostThe Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) is not responding or is slow to load issue could be issue with the DNS server or the primary DNS has been changed to something else, consequently causing ADUC to not respond. In this case, to resolve the issue, you can run a DNS check on the server and see if it resolves. If it doesn’t, simply change DNS to server IP or Localhost.
Try the next solution if this task didn’t work.
2] Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IPThis solution requires you to disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP and then launch the ADUC snap-in and see if the issue in hand is resolved or not. If the latter is the case, you can continue with the next solution.
3] Run DCdiagDCdiag is a Microsoft Windows command line utility that can analyze the state of domain controllers in a forest or enterprise. You can choose to analyze a single domain controller or all DC’s in a forest. Essentially, the dcdiag command line utility performs a domain controller health check.
To use dcdiag, you must run the dcdiag command from an elevated command prompt. If you have the AD DS server role installed then dcdiag is already installed. If you have the Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) tools installed then you already have dcdiag installed.
4] Flush DNSDomain Name System (DNS) settings might interfere with Active Directory. If the DNS settings are corrupted, you may encounter the issue in focus. In this case, you can flush the DNS.
The following are aspects of DNS functionality:
Connectivity
Essential services
DNS client configuration
Resource record registrations
Zone and start of authority (SOA)
Root zone
Flushing DNS will clear any IP addresses or other DNS records from your cache. This can help resolve security, internet connectivity, and other issues.
5] Configure TCP/IP filteringThe issue in hand may occur if TCP/IP filtering is configured to permit only port 80 for TCP/IP traffic. Port 389 used for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connections will be blocked if TCP/IP filtering is configured incorrectly. By default, TCP/IP filtering is configured with the Permit All setting.
To verify TCP/IP filtering setting is configured correctly, do the following:
Restart the computer.
Now all TCP ports, including port 389 should be open.
Hope this post helps!

Beauty And Skincare Tips For Athletes And Active Individuals
Athletes and people who lead active lives face particular hurdles when it comes to skincare and appearance. The skin and hair can become damaged as a result of perspiration, exposure to the sun and severe weather, and regular physical exercise. Hence, adopting a skincare and cosmetic routine that is suited to their individual needs is crucial for athletes and other active people. This may entail using products and techniques that nourish, moisturize, and protect the skin and hair while enhancing general health and well-being.
Beauty and Skincare Tips for Athletes and Active IndividualsIt’s likely that your skin is exposed to a variety of circumstances if you’re an athlete. If you perform the majority of your workout outside, you may experience a range of temperatures, weather, and the sun’s harmful rays. Even if you train inside, your skin might still produce a lot more perspiration and filth than the ordinary person who doesn’t routinely work out. Here is a fresh approach to the fundamental skincare regimen geared toward athletes and energetic individuals.
Following are some of the tips to keep skin beautiful −
Gently CleanseEven if you are an athlete, you still need to wash your face twice a day, morning and night, just like everyone else. That is, at least twice. Whether it’s late in the morning, during lunch, or after work, if you start to perspire in the middle of the day, you’ll probably be washing it again in the shower. Naturally, that is to be anticipated. But what matters is the kind of cleanser you employ: Make sure it thoroughly cleans while maintaining the skin’s moisture levels, without over-drying. It’s crucial to flush away sweat and pollutants while without over-stripping the skin of its natural moisture due to all the additional washing you’ll be doing.
Choose a Light-Weight Moisturizer with SPFEven in the dead of winter, spending time outside exposes you to their skin-aging effects. But a goopy face sunscreen isn’t really what you want if you’re exercising outside because it will wear off quickly and cause you to perspire excessively. Use a lightweight moisturizer with SPF 30 or more instead. Apply it prior to all outdoor workouts as well as any lighter outdoor chores and activities. It will provide two hours of the highest SPF protection.
Take Brief, Gentle ShowersSignificant fluctuations in heart rate are among the things that athletes go through. This is frequently combined with a workout’s frequent change in temperature and atmosphere (be it the cool gym, versus a hot day outside, or going from the gym to a bundled-up coat). All of this can make your skincare routine more difficult to follow after a shower because your body spends so much time warming up and cooling down. Sweating—lots of it—occurs as a result all over the body. Allowing your body to calm down after a workout—possibly by taking a shower at home rather than at the gym—and then taking a brief, mild-temperature shower are two ways to help with this. After finishing your cleaning, go outside to let your body finish cooling off and for your heart rate to begin to slow. It will increase the effectiveness of the moisturizer you apply after a shower and prevent you from storing dried perspiration inside your pores.
Air DryTogether with the last suggestion, make an effort to completely chill down and dry off before applying any moisturizer. The best place to do this is at home, where you may starfish on the bed and unwind while everything dries. After a workout and shower, applying moisturizer or other products will result in increased perspiration, possible pore clogging, and subsequent breakouts. Just wait till everything has calmed down before using the appropriate daytime or nighttime moisturizer.
MoisturizeUse moisturizer once your skin has returned to normal temperature and no longer appears red or flushed. Use a light, non-comedogenic product to moisturize and rejuvenate your skin. It’s a good idea to rejuvenate your skin with antioxidant-formulated skin care if you’ve been outside and dirt and pollution particles may have gotten on your skin. Moisturizer helps decrease the look of sun damage and shows toned, younger-looking skin. With repeated application over time, it can also help lighten the look of black spots.
HydrateBy sweating it out, if you’ve lost a lot of water. Make sure your body replaces its moisture levels by drinking plenty of water in addition to moisturizing your skin. Depending on the intensity of your workout and the ambient temperature where you finished your training, try to drink enough water. Exercise is great for your body and skin, but you must also take care of it before and after to prevent breakouts or damage. You can guarantee that your skin will be radiant and healthy-looking with a little bit of preparation and the correct products.
Utilize Mist to Soothe Your SkinAfter working out and shortly after cleansing, your skin may feel hot or tingly. To help revive your skin, use a calming facial spray packed with components like rose or lavender. If you use a mist just before applying moisturizer, it will also hydrate your skin. This is due to the fact that some of the water particles are retained and locked into your skin.
Put Recuperation FirstOne of the most crucial times of the day for your skin is this recuperation process. Your skin heals, regenerates, bounces back, and does all of this on its own while you’re sleeping. By filling it with recovery-focused products, you’re supplying it with the tools it needs to work harder to maintain your skin’s balance and clarity. You unwittingly put a lot of strain on your skin as an active person through excessive sweating, over washing, sun exposure, and other factors. The best way to maintain healthy skin is to have a good night’s sleep and perform a comprehensive skincare routine before bed. Next, after rinsing, wake up and repeat the previous procedure.
Exfoliate and Shave ConclusionFor athletes and those who lead active lives, preserving beautiful, healthy skin and hair is essential. They can address the special issues that their active lifestyles present with the use of a customized skincare and beautification program. Athletes and active people can look and feel their best while improving general health and well-being by using products and techniques that moisturize, protect, and nourish the skin and hair.
Also, people who are active or athletic may want to think about purchasing items that are specially made for them, including sweat-proof cosmetics and sunscreen with a high SPF. It’s also critical to develop healthy habits, such regularly cleaning the face and applying a moisturizer to avoid dryness and irritability. Athletes and other active people can improve their physical appearance, boost their self-confidence, and perform better by taking care of their skin and hair.
3 Inconvenient Truths About Gaming Computers
1: You Probably Paid Too Much For Your Graphics CardMy rule of thumb is: If I can get an average of anywhere between 25-30 frames per second from my games, my graphics card is fine. People obsess compulsively over the frame rate their cards deliver as opposed to focusing on hitting a sweet spot and sticking with it. The most difficult thing for most people to accept is that their investments were in vain. This is particularly true of those who pay more than $1300 for a graphics card. Usually, graphics cards in the range of $300-500 work just fine with most games. It’s not your job to get a card that works with a new game. You’ll see this theme recurring a lot in this article.
2: Your CPU Probably Doesn’t Need ReplacementThe truth is that most games don’t rely so heavily on your CPU. They need your GPU (graphics card) more since that’s what they use to render graphics. A dual-core heavyweight can perform just as well as a quad-core counterpart. You don’t really need a $1000 CPU to get your game rolling. And if you do, something’s seriously wrong with the developer. Here’s a secret: In all likelihood, any of Intel’s earliest iterations of the i7 can outperform most consoles of its day. If a game developer releases a PC version and a console version, but the PC version is chewing on your CPU relentlessly, you can bet they really don’t care about their PC users. Don’t let them do that.
3: “Gaming” Keyboards (And Other Equipment) Are Good Only For Some PeopleYou’ll accomplish nothing with a gaming keyboard/mouse unless:
You’re used to handling tons of different specialized buttons in your daily life (or you don’t mind the learning curve), or
You’re playing games with so many complex functions (read: World of Warcraft) and you can’t really do without the special keys.
Let’s be clear, though: When I talk about gaming equipment, I’m talking about the hardcore stuff, like Logitech’s G19 keyboard or Razer’s Ouroboros mouse. Don’t get me wrong. They’re good, for the purposes they serve. However, for most gamers, a sturdy, decent keyboard and mouse combination works without a hitch. You don’t need to go out and spend $800 on the latest crazy gear.
Other Inconvenient TruthsThe gaming world has gone a bit far in terms of hardware. If you want to disregard everything mentioned above and future-proof your PC, go ahead, but do a cost-benefit analysis first. Is it more feasible to have that shiny new graphics card today for $1500, or would you rather buy it in 3 years when its price has dropped to $400? If you feel compelled to forego what I said, that’s your right. But take some time. Think about things a little bit. Be patient.

Google Planning Desktop Search For Mac Computers
Google Planning Desktop Search for Mac Computers
Google announced plans to offer its Google Desktop Search to Mac computers on Friday, introducing Google technology to a loyal group of computer users who are not using the Windows operating system. Reuters reports that Google’s chief executive did not lay out a set schedule for the Mac ready desktop search, but did confirm that it would be on the way soon when asked. “We intend to do it,” Schmidt said at a University of California-Los Angeles conference celebrating the Internet’s 35th anniversary.
Rueters reports that Schmidt added that the Google Mac Desktop Search “had to be rebuilt from the ground up because of the fundamental differences between the Mac OS and Windows.” Google desktop search currently works with only computers running off of Windows and comes as a 450 KB download file and installs locally on the system. It places a system tray icon, which runs consecutively in the background indexing files on the system. The background-running crawlers monitor the files and internet/chat sessions and keep the index up-to-date by indexing the system when the system is not busy.
Knowing Google and its other services, I had little doubt that the new tool from their stable would be incredible. A week using it and I am not disappointed. It consumes manageable system RAM, gives me results in a format I am most used to watching (Google’s web results) and best thing of all it will only improve from here.
Agreed, the software support is limited. You can search through only the most popular file formats. PDF and many other formats are currently not supported. However, it is just the beginning. Google learns fast and we can be sure an update would cover-up most of the requisitions. But one thing is for sure, they need to start realizing that there are browsers in the market other than Internet Explorer and some people do use email clients which are not from Microsoft’ stable. They seem to have taken the popular approach in the first beta supporting what an average computer user would be using in day-to-day life.
How To Fix ‘Message Blocking Is Active’
Last Updated on May 15, 2023
Sometimes, errors can come at the worst of times. It’s not uncommon to try and send a text only to receive the message back that your message was unable to send – but most of the time, these issues are related to a lack of service. However, if you have received an error message saying that your message blocking is active when you have not activated such a feature, then trying to find the best way around it can be tricky.
What Causes The Message Blocking Error? If you have experienced this error, then you are not alone. Many customers of T-Mobile have also reported similar experiences, but what has caused the error?
One such cause is a service outage. These aren’t uncommon for any kind of mobile service provider and it could just be that when you tried to send your text, your service provider was experiencing a service outage. This break is only temporary, so the service should be up and running again very soon.
Another reason could be that you are trying to send someone a text who you have blocked, or the receiver has blocked you. For the text to go through, both individuals must not have the other on their block list so they can communicate easily.
In a similar vein, it could be that the receiver of the text has blocked any premium SMS messages from reaching their phone. Again, this needs to be deactivated for your text to go through.
And finally, the reason behind this message blocking error could be a short code issue. This issue is a very serious technical issue that has caused your short codes to set themselves to blow.
This can only be fixed by T-Mobile technicians and is not something you can do yourself, but it’s also comforting to note that this issue is also very rare.
How To Fix Message Blocking ErrorSo, now we know the causes behind this message error, let’s look at how you can fix it!
Step
1
Check The Service Status
The first thing you should do if you ever find yourself unable to send your texts is to check online to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue.
A quick internet search will let you know if your mobile service provider is experiencing issues – there are live websites that track outages, plus the provider themselves may make a statement on their social media to address the issue.
Check to see if the issue is widespread before trying to fix anything on your phone.
Step
2
Check Your Block List
If the other person you are texting has blocked you, then there is nothing you can do until you meet face to face. Let them be aware of the issue and hopefully they can fix that on their end.
However, you might as well check your own block list to make sure you have not blocked them accidentally. Go to the contact’s information page and see if the option is there to unblock. If so, press it and try again.
Step
3
Allow Premium SMS Access
Head into their settings and scroll down to the Application option.
Press Special Access and then Premium SMS Access.
If your texts still don’t send, then try this process again but select Always Allow instead of Ask.
Step
4
Head To T-Mobile Support
If you still cannot send texts even after all this, then it’s time to contact the T-Mobile Support Team. They will be able to get into the nitty-gritty technical bits of your phone and solve the issue from there.
It is worth popping them an issue online first to see their response but you can always take your mobile into your nearest T-Mobile store and speak to someone face to face.
From there, they can take over and sort out the issue.
ConclusionAnd there you have it. All the possible solutions to solving the Message Blocking Is Active error from T-Mobile. We hope this has helped!
Open Local Users And Groups In Windows 11 Home Or Pro
Also see: How to Create Local Admin Account Without Password on Windows 11
Since the Local Users and Groups Management Snap-in is part of the included features in Windows 11 Pro edition, you can easily open the management console using one of the following methods. If you are using Windows 11 Home edition, please go to the next section of this guide.
You can quickly access the Local Users and Groups management in Windows 11 via the Computer Management application – a collection of Windows administrative tools you can use to manage a local or remote computer.
Open Start menu.
Search for “Computer Management” and open it.
In the Computer Management window, select and expand “Local Users and Groups” on the left pane.
From there, you can select the Users or Groups folder to view and manage the settings.
Alternatively, you can open the chúng tôi process directly via Start, Run dialog box, Command Prompt or PowerShell.
Open Start menu.
Type lusrmgr.msc and select the first result to open it.
You will then see two folders on the left pane: Users and Groups. Select the folder you want to manage.
Run dialog boxYou can open the Run dialog box by pressing the Win + R key. In the Run window, type chúng tôi in the “Open” text field and press Enter to open it.
Command PromptIf you do not have access to the Start menu nor the Run dialog box (when you are running into problem where you can only access the CMD), you can open the local users and groups management console by typing lusrmgr.msc as a command line and press Enter to run it.
As for PowerShell or Windows Terminal, you can enter lusrmgr without the .msc extension to open the management console.
In most cases, if you don’t see Local Users and Groups in the Computer Management window, or if you can’t open the chúng tôi console at all, it is probably because your version of Windows 11 is Home edition, which doesn’t include this feature. To manage local users and groups in Windows 11 Home edition, follow the guide below.
Similar to the Group Policy Editor, the Local Users and Groups Management Console is also one of the power features that is not included in Windows 11 Home edition. If you are using Windows 11 Home, you will not be able to access the management console whether you access it through the computer management app, launch chúng tôi directly, or via command prompt.
However, you can use a third-party tool as an alternative to enable the local users and groups management in Windows 11 Home. This third-party tool is open source and can be downloaded for free from GitHub. It has the same functionalities as the built-in chúng tôi snap-in in Windows.
Go to the lusrmgr releases page on GitHub.
Once downloaded, run the executable file to open the app.
The settings for local users and groups in this third-party tool are essentially the same as the built-in chúng tôi in Windows 11 Pro. You can view and change the settings just like you would on a Windows 11 Pro computer.
In the “Create new user” window, enter the details for the new user account, such as username and password. Optionally, you may consider enabling some useful settings for the user, such as “password not required”, “password never expires” and “user cannot change password”.
