1. Disable Secure boot
Reboot your Windows 10 system. When the system starts up you will need to continuously press the ESC button on the keyboard.
You should have in front of you the Startup menu on a black background.
Move to the System Configuration tab using the right arrow on the keyboard.
In the System Configuration menu, you will need to select Boot options by pressing the Down arrow on the keyboard.
Press the Enter button on the keyboard.
Press the arrows on the keyboard down to the Secure boot feature.
Press the Enter button on the keyboard.
Select the Disable option on this feature and press the Enter button.
Press the F10 button on the keyboard to save your changes and exit the menu.
Press the Enter button to confirm the saved changes.
Your Windows 10 device should reboot now.

2. Hard reset your laptop and remove all peripherals

How is Windows 11 different than Windows 10? Our hands-on look at a leaked early build of Windows 11 begins to answer that question.
Our leaked build shows changes in the Windows taskbar and Start menu, leveraging the UI tweaks that Microsoft made to Windows 10X before it put that operating system on ice earlier this year. There’s also a massive Widgets drawer that’s entirely new, though we’d expect it to evolve between now and when Microsoft will likely launch Windows 11 in the fall.

More profound changes appear once you’ve opened the Start menu itself. In Windows 10, Live Tiles allow app developers to cycle through photos and provide dynamic information to you. That’s all gone. Again, Microsoft is taking its cues from Windows 10X and providing an array of small, static icons. Below, a list of “recommended” files appear to be shortcuts to either frequently-used files, or at least recent documents you may have opened. Small buttons (“All apps,” for example) offer shortcuts to any other apps that may be hidden away.
The Start menu may not be as friendly as in in years past, but it’s more functional than ever.

Windows 11 appears like it’s implemented FancyZones right in the operating system.
On a window within Windows 11, hovering your cursor over the “maximize window” icon in the upper right-hand-corner of a window does more than just fill the screen with the selected window. It allows you to select from a variety of configurations to organize that window, from a “four corners” orientation to a narrow strip along one corner of the screen. It’s very reminiscent of the ”FancyZones” portion of the Power Tools suite which Microsoft implemented on 2023. All you need to do is highlight which windows configuration you want, then select one of the available alignments for your selected window.

Bye-bye, CortanaYes, bye-bye Cortana—well, from the Windows 11 Taskbar, anyway. One of the ways in which Microsoft has slimmed down the Windows 11 taskbar has been to fold the Search bar into a simple search icon, and to do away with the Cortana icon entirely. Cortana lives on as an app within Windows 11, but you’ll have to manually launch the Cortana app, then interact with its limited functionality. No changes to appsSo far, what we haven’t noticed are any changes to the traditional app model: no limits on 32-bit versus 64-bit apps, and nothing locking you to apps within the Microsoft store. Again, the leaked version of Windows 11 seems to be a visual reskin of Windows 10, implying that you’ll be able to do the same things with Windows 11 that you’d be able to do with Windows 10.

Security Updates: Updates that address security-related issues in an operating system are called security updates; These Windows Updates are generally issued after some security organization finds a fault in any operating system and notifies Microsoft; Microsoft creates a patch (update), asap or within a fixed period, to fix those issues; The update is then released worldwide; often users are also notified via email to download these security updates
Feature Pack Updates: Are updates that make changes to specific features of the operating system; such updates are released as and when available to a selected set of users; if that set of users provide good feedback about the changes in operating system features, Microsoft includes the changes into the next big release of Windows Operating Software; Currently, you get two feature updates every year if you are using Windows 10
Monthly Rollup: Among the different types of Windows updates, you also get monthly rollup as an update on every second Tuesday normally; this update includes all the updates rolled out previous month plus additional definitions of malware
Service Pack: It is a cumulative set of all hotfixes, security updates, critical updates, fixes, and updates. It is a set of Windows Updates that were released between two successive versions of Windows operating system. The age of Service Packs is over now.
Tool updates: These are updates to the built-in utilities and tools.
Update rollup: A cumulative set of hotfixes, security updates, critical updates, and updates that are packaged together for easy deployment
Full updates: They have all the necessary components and files that have changed since the last feature update.
Delta updates: They include only the components that changed in the most recent quality update, and will only install if a device already has the previous month’s update installed.
Security Quality Update: It contains all the previous updates.
Security Monthly Quality Rollup: It contains only the current month’s updates.
Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup: These preview releases contain only non-security updates, and are meant to provide testing of the planned non-security updates targeted for the next month’s Update Tuesday release.
Service Stack Updates: They are kept separate from the regular cumulative updates because these Cumulative Updates add new and more optimized files to the operating system.

Furthermore, if you believe Windows hasn’t been updated for quite a while, performing a manual update could be very helpful. Personally, I check for a manual update occassionally just in case anything has been missed.
Why are Windows Updates so important?One might argue that Windows Updates simply modify the features of the operating system or push fixes to existing problems, which many users might not require. So, why is it still important to make sure your system is up to date?
