One big issue that arises while trying to print is getting this error:

Your margins are pretty small, some of the content you print may be cut off. Are you sure you want to print?

This is an extremely annoying error message since it repeatedly appears. Plus, a good number of users describe starting a large print job and walking away only to discover that it never started because they didn’t dismiss the warning.

If you too are frequently encountering this error message, follow the steps listed in this detailed guide and you will get rid of it in no time.

How can I remove Your margins are pretty small error? 1. Redefine the unprintable area

First of all, do note that the printer defines the printable margin area, but it’s Word that warns you of the margin crossing. Word simply gets the information from the printer driver, so it’s wise to redefine the unprintable area in the printer’s Property setting.

To remove the warning for good, you will need to print with at least the minimum margins specified from your printer. The value varies between different printer models, but 0.17 inches is often the default minimum.

2. Use the automatic adjustment of the margins

However, if you don’t like the result, feel free to use to undo the change, or simply close the file without saving that change.

3. Set Printable area to Maximum

Another workaround is to enter into Printer properties, under the Advanced tab, and select the option that says Compatibility. Here you’ll see a selection for Printable area. Don’t hesitate to change it from Standard to Maximum.

4. Change file size to A4

Conduct a search by typing Control Panel into the search box and typing Enter.

Select Printing Preferences which houses a wealth of settings for print quality, layout, profile presets, and more.

While here, just change the original size to A4.

When you are still getting this annoying message, a simple readjustment of the file size could become effective and nothing will cut off again.

5. Save the file as PDF file

For large documents, i.e. mail merges, you may try to save the file as a PDF, then print it from Adobe Reader. Printing to a PDF is a bit of a hassle indeed, but this helps you clear up all previous issues.

6. Configure Alignment and Wrapping options

If you’re doing a label mail merge, we have another quick tip for you. All you have to do is to change the table’s wrap format to Around, center-aligned, then make the left and right margins equal-sized.

Increasing the paper size a little is another trick described as possibly working while trying to use a different driver for the printer is also recommended. Start with the most recent one provided by the manufacturer. If this makes no difference, go further back to an older one.

That said, getting rid of the Your margins are pretty small printer error should be quite easy and can be done in just a few minutes. If all these solutions are inefficient, seek professional help from the printer manufacturer.

We print documents every day, and sometimes your printer pulls too many pages while printing. This is usually not a big problem, but it can be quite annoying, so today we’re going to show you how to fix it.

Printer issues can be a problem, and speaking of printing issues, here are some similar issues that users reported:

Brother printer grabs multiple sheets, eating paper – This issue can occur due to your rollers. Sometimes the rollers might be worn out and the only way to fix the problem is to replace the rollers.

Epson printer pulling multiple sheets – If your printer is pulling multiple sheets, the problem might be dampening foam. To fix the issue, you might have to replace this foam on your own or contact an expert.

Printer taking in too much paper – This problem can sometimes occur due to tasks in your printing queue. Simply remove other tasks and check if that solves your problem.

Canon printer feeds multiple sheets – Sometimes this problem can be caused by your rollers, and in order to fix the problem, you need to make them coarser on your own.

Printer pulls too many pages HP – Another cause for this issue can be your paper, so be sure that your paper isn’t damaged or damped.

Printer pulls too many pages, how to fix it? Solution 1 – Check your roller and paper

If printer pulls too many pages while printing, the issue is most likely your roller. Sometimes your printer roller can become smooth due to prolonged use and that cause this issue to appear.

The only way to fix this issue is to replace the roller. This isn’t always an easy task, especially if you don’t know how to do it, so you might want to take your printer to the repair shop and ask a professional to do it for you.

In addition, be sure to check your paper as well. Sometimes your paper can stick together especially in warm climates. The paper can become damp and that will cause it to stick to other paper. If that’s the case, be sure to dry your paper before you use it for printing in order to avoid this and other problems.

Solution 2 – Check your noise dampening foam

According to users, if the printer pulls too many pages, the issue can be your dampening foam. Sometimes this foam can deteriorate and become sticky.

This might be too complicated for an everyday user, so you might want to take your printer to the repair center and ask the professional to do it for you.

Solution 3 – Make your rubber paper grabber coarser

If you have problems with your printer, the issue might be the rubber paper grabber. Sometimes this rubber part can become smoother and cause the printer to pick up more paper than it needs to. To fix it, users are suggesting to make the rubber coarser by using a nail file.

Simply by making the rubber a bit coarser you might be able to fix the problem. Users reported that this DIY solution worked for them, so you might want to try it out. Keep in mind that this solution requires you to disassemble your printer, so if you’re not comfortable with that, or if your printer is still under warranty, perhaps you should take it to the repair center and ask a professional to repair it for you.

Solution 4 – Check your paper

If your printer pulls too many pages, it’s possible that the issue is your paper. Sometimes low-quality paper can cause this issue, so be sure that you’re using proper paper for printing. In addition, make sure that your printer is stored in a cool and dry place.

Lastly, do not reuse old paper that already has something printed on it. If the paper has any ink on it, that could make it slightly damp and cause it to stick with other paper. In addition, be sure to use paper that’s not damaged.

Expert tip:

In addition, make sure that your paper is properly aligned before printing. Lastly, do not use more than 25 sheets of paper at the time since that can cause printing issues. To avoid paper issues, you should use between 10 and 25 sheets of paper at a time.

If the problem is still there, perhaps you should try using a different brand of paper and check if that helps.

As you can see, these are some general paper guidelines, and in order to avoid issues with printing, we suggest that you follow them and examine your paper.

Solution 5 – Clean your rollers

Turn off your printer and disconnect it from the power outlet.

Now open the rear access door of the printer. Some printers have a knob, while others have a release tab.

If you have any paper stuck inside of the printer, be sure to remove it.

Now clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth. For the best results, use the distilled or bottled water to slightly moisten the cloth. Be sure to rotate the rollers in order to clean them from all sides.

Now you need to clean the bottom rollers. These rollers are hard to reach, so be sure to use a moist cotton swab to clean them.

After doing that, check the rollers on the rear access door and clean them if needed.

Wait for a couple of minutes for the rollers to dry. After the rollers are dry, put the rear access door and check if the problem is still there.

Solution 6 – Clear the print queue

After examining the hardware problems, it’s time to look at software issues that can cause this problem. If the printer pulls too many pages, it’s possible that the issue is caused by your print queue. Sometimes there might be multiple documents in the queue and that can lead to this issue. To fix the problem, you need to do the following:

Net Stop Spooler

del %systemroot%System32spoolprinters* /Q

Net Start Spooler

After running these commands, your printer queue should be completely cleared and the problem should be resolved.

Solution 7 – Disconnect your printer from your PC

If the printer pulls too many pages during printing, the issue might be caused by a temporary glitch. However, you might be able to fix the issue simply by disconnecting your printer from your PC and connecting it to a different USB port.

After doing that, the issue should be resolved. In addition to disconnecting the printer from the PC, you might want to disconnect it from the power outlet and check if that helps.

Printing problems can be quite annoying, and if your printer pulls too many pages, the issue is usually related to your hardware. However, we hope that you’ll manage to fix this problem using one of our solutions.

How To Add A Printer To Your Chromebook

If you own a Chromebook and have it connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer, adding a printer to your Chromebook is almost identical to adding one on any other computer.

Using the printer settings in your Chromebook’s settings menu, you can configure your printer so that you can print to it any time you like.

Table of Contents

How to Add a Wi-Fi Printer to Your Chromebook

If you have a wireless printer connected to your network, adding that printer on your Chromebook is effortless. ChromeOS supports mostly all modern printer drivers.

Select the clock in the bottom-right corner of the window and select the gear icon to open your Chromebook settings. Select

Print and scan

in the left menu.

In the right pane, select the right arrow next to

Printers

.

A new window will open for you to add the new printer. All you need is the printer’s IP address (which you can get from your printer’s menu). Type a name for the printer, enter the IP address in the

Address

field, and then select the

Add

button.

Note: Ensure Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) is selected in the Protocol drop-down menu for Wi-Fi network printing to work properly.

You’ll see your printer show up in your list of compatible printers on the Printers page. It will show up under Your saved printers and under Add printers to your profile.

If you have a newer printer with Wi-Fi functionality, it may show up under the second section. You can select Save to add that printer automatically rather than using the manual process above.

If you don’t see any new printer you purchase in the list at the bottom of the settings window, you can add it manually using the same process above by selecting the small plus icon to the right of Add printer.

How to Add a USB Printer to Your Chromebook

If you’re using an older printer that requires a USB connection, you can still connect your Chromebook to that printer.

Plug the USB cable from your printer into your Chromebook’s USB port.

You’ll see a pop-up window to add a new printer. Select

Add Printer

.

Follow the wizard to step through adding the new printer.

If you don’t see a Wizard appear, you can go through the steps in the previous section to view available printers in the Settings menu and select the connected printer under the Add printers to your profile section.

Note: Whenever you print for the first time, if you don’t see the new printer’s name in the Destination field, select See more… and the printer should be listed in that window.

How to Print From Your Chromebook

Once you’ve added your printer, you can print to it from any Chromebook app that supports printing.

With the document, image, or other media open that you want to print, just press

Ctrl + P

keyboard shortcut on the keyboard to open the Print menu. In that menu, select the

Destination

dropdown and choose

.

In the

Select a destination

window, select the printer you want to print to.

Once you’ve selected the printer you want to print to, select the

Print

button to send that print job to your selected printer.

You should see the document or image printed on the printer you’ve selected on your network.

Printing From a Google Chromebook

As you can see, printing from a Chromebook is similar to printing from any other computer. Just open the Chromebook Settings menu and go through the process to add the new printer using the simple menus.

Also, if you want to print from your Chromebook outside your home, away from your Wi-Fi network, Google Cloud Print is the perfect solution.

Five Reasons Your Small Business Blog Is Failing

… and how to deliver on the potential of your blog

The potential benefits for a small business that blogs are vast. Along with building brand identify and improving reputations, it can also help build a loyal base of customers, increase search engine visibility in a fiercely competitive environment and lower the overall cost of marketing goods or services.

However, it’s common for businesses to fail to reap the rewards they were looking for when they start blogging – I’ve identified five below. There are some common reasons for these failings, that I’ve seen when working with clients, which if acknowledged can be used to turn the blog around to deliver on the benefits originally sought.

1. Lack of skills and resources

Perhaps the biggest reason why a small business blog fails is down to a lack of skills and resources. Even though the author may have extensive knowledge about the subject in question, this may not relate to a piece of written work. What’s more, with so many other areas of the business to think about, the blog writer’s attention may be elsewhere and not fully focused on the content.

In fact, according to a survey of B2B marketing professionals carried out by TechValidate, the biggest content-creation challenge was that it took too much time. If even the largest of companies struggle to set aside enough time to blog, it must be incredibly difficult for smaller organisations. Thankfully, there are a few options and alternatives any business owner can explore.

Possible solutions to this content marketing challenge

Outsource to content writer – A specialised and dedicated content writer will be able to cover any gaps in your knowledge while producing high-quality, informative and engaging blogs.

Outsource to a marketing agency – If you can’t find a content writer to satisfy your blog writing needs, then a marketing agency will. With a wealth of experience in dealing with businesses big and small, a company that specialises in content can address any problems you may be having.

Allocate time for content – Creating and distributing content is now a fundamental element of several large scale marketing strategies, so you should take it seriously. Make sure you set aside some time solely for the purpose of writing great content and distributing it effectively.

2. Unrealistic goals, or no objectives whatsoever

Let’s get this straight from the start – writing a regular blog will not transform your business’ fortunes or improve bottom line sales overnight. It is a gradual process, which takes time to implement and notice the benefits.

Blogging isn’t exactly an easy undertaking either, as it requires quite a bit of thought, hard work and dedication. Don’t make the mistake of diving in head first without realising what you’re getting yourself in for.

Possible solutions to goal setting for your blog

Ask yourself some key questions – Why do you want to blog? What do you want to achieve? How many blogs can you realistically create and publish per week? Answering these queries should stand you in good stead.

Be conservative, not outlandish – Whatever your objectives may be, it is best to err on the side of caution and have conservative blog objectives. If notoriety is achieved, it will be a welcome surprise and you can build on this success.

3. Poor knowledge of your audience interests

It is all well and good writing regular content about interesting or entertaining subjects, but if these topics or themes have nothing to do with your target audience, then there is not much point in blogging at all.

Furthermore, you could be publishing and distributing your blogs in all the wrong places. Even if you’ve managed to produce a spellbinding piece of content, which is of great value to clients or customers, making it more difficult to access than it should be won’t achieve favourable results.

Possible solutions for understanding your audience:

Develop specific buying personas – Think carefully about the type of person you want to attract by developing some buying personas. That way, you’ll know exactly who needs to be targeted and can tailor content accordingly.

Understand audience behaviour – Consider your audience’s everyday problems and goals in life, where they go to access information and what they look for when shopping for goods or services. Not only will content be more relevant, you can position it in the right places too.

Reach out to consumers – The beauty of marketing in today’s connected society is the ease in which consumers can be contacted. Reach out to potential customers and prospective clients, ask what kind of content they’d like to view and where they’d want to view it.

4. Poor quality content

When consumers go online, they are by and large looking for answers or solutions to common questions or problems. Your job as a small business blogger is to provide a resolution, way out or guide to these issues through top quality content.

However, if your blog does not tick these teaching and learning boxes, success will not come to fruition. In addition to driving consumers away from your site, inferior content can also damage your reputation beyond repair. Content is no longer about quantity, its all about quality.

Possible solutions for improving your content:

Take different approaches – Business blogs don’t have to be boring, unoriginal or lacking interest, they can be full of life, vigour and colour. Therefore, think about injecting a bit of humour, controversy or opinion into your blog. Tell stories about real-life encounters and previous experiences too.

Always proofread – Even minor spelling and grammatical mistakes make a difference, so always proofread your work before publishing. Readers won’t think much of your writing skills if there are lots of errors, which reflect badly on the business too.

Integrate other types of content – Even though your blog will mainly concentrate on the written word, there is nothing stopping you from integrating other types of content within. Insert product photos, visual demonstrations, Internet memes or viral videos to increase interest and engagement.

5. Lack of feedback

You might not look forward to receiving and dealing with negative remarks or views, but these kinds of conversations are what blogging is all about. On top of that, this constructive criticism can help you improve and grow as a business, collect vital and valuable audience analytics as well as the tools to measure the reach and effectiveness of your blog.

Possible solutions for encouraging feedback:

Ask questions on social media – After publicising your blog on social media, ask your fans and followers what they think. These conversations give you feedback about the blog and can increase your exposure on social media too.

Before you try the solutions below, you can do the following, and after each task see if you can successfully activate Windows without issues:

If you’re having trouble activating Windows 11, confirm that your device is up to date and running Windows 11. If not running Windows 11, you can update your device and then try the activation again.

Temporarily disable AV/Firewall. Third-party security software installed on your device can interfere with the activation process. If this scenario is applicable to you, you can temporarily disable the AV/Firewall, and once the activation is successful, enable system protection again.

1] Run Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA)

The Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant tool will try to activate Windows – if it returns an activation error code like the 0x87e107f9 code in view, the tool will display targeted solutions for known error codes. The tool is designed to help PC users resolve issues with Windows 11/10, if:

2] Run Activation Troubleshooter

The inbuilt Activation Troubleshooter might help reactivate Windows 11/10 if you recently made a significant hardware change (such as replacing the motherboard) or reinstalling Windows. You must be signed in as an administrator to run this automated tool.

After you run the tool, make sure the error hasn’t changed. Sometimes when you run the Activation troubleshooter or try to activate it, the error code and message will change. If the error code has changed, look up the new code and follow the recommended steps.

3] Activate Windows via Phone

Another viable solution to the error in focus is to activate Windows via Phone. This is basically contacting Microsoft Support to help with the activation process.

Do the following:

Under Activate Windows Now section, select Activate by Phone.

Select your location (or the location nearest to you) from the drop-down list.

Select Next.

Call one of the available phone numbers listed.

Alternatively, to activate Windows 11/10 by phone, press Windows key + R to open Run box, type slui.exe 4 and hit Enter to open up a dialog that will let you activate your Windows via the telephone.

Hope this post helps you!
