How can I backup saved data on PS4? 1. Backup PS4 save data to the cloudYou can restore the game data by signing into your PlayStation Plus account on any PS4 console.
NOTE
Before you proceed with the steps below, make sure you have a PlayStation Plus membership. If not, follow the second step instead.
Setup automatic game data backup
Open the Settings
Select Application Saved Data Management
Scroll down and open Auto–Upload.
You can also select which game saves to upload from the Auto-Upload options.
If you set up the backup option for the first time, it may take a few hours for all your game data to upload.
Enabling the auto-upload option will allow the PS4 to automatically upload saved data while the PS4 is turned on or in rest mode.
Make sure you have enabled Stay connected to the Internet when in rest mode option for this feature to work. If not, here is how to enable it.
Open Settings.
Select Power Settings.

Moving From Tape To Disk Backup With Data Deduplication
For over 50 years, IT organizations have performed nightly backup of all their data to tape, which has been used primarily due to low cost. The retention of most organizations is typically 12 weeks onsite and can be up to as much as seven years offsite. The average organization keeps 40 to 100 copies of their backup data, each at a different point in time for regulatory compliance, SEC audits, legal discovery, and various business reasons. If disk had been used instead of tape, the cost of backup would have been 40 to 100 times the cost of the primary storage. Due to the number of copies kept in backup, tape was the only economical approach.
Over the last 10 years, the majority of IT organizations have placed some disk in front of tape libraries. This is called “disk staging” and allows for faster and more reliable backups and restores as the latest backups are kept on disk. However, due the cost of disk, most organizations only keep one to two weeks of retention on disk and then longer-term retention on tape.
The challenge is the amount of backup data stored due to keeping multiple copies. However, the data from one backup to another is highly redundant. If you have 50TB of data to be backed up, only about 1TB or 2% changes from backup to backup. Instead of backing up 50TB over and over, why not just back up the 50TB once and then the only changes from then on? This would drastically reduce the amount of disk required.
Data deduplication solves the challenge by storing only the unique bytes and not storing bytes or blocks that have already been stored. This approach can reduce the amount of disk required to be about 20:1. For example, if 50TB of data is kept for 20 weeks, one petabyte of storage would be required. However, if the 50TB was compressed 2:1 to 25TB and then just the 2% change between backups is kept, then you would store 25TB plus 19 copies at 1TB each or about 44TB of data.
There are three major areas of impact.
The first is backup performance. One approach is inline deduplication where the data is deduplicated inline on the way to the disk. This approach can slow down backups, as it is a very compute-intensive and cumbersome process. The alternative is to write direct to disk and perform deduplication after the data is committed to disk. This allows for the fastest backup performance.
The second area of impact is the storage architecture that the deduplication is deployed on. A scale-up architecture has a front-end controller with disk shelves. As data grows, disk shelves need to be added. Using this approach, the backup window will invariably get longer as data grows. The more data there is, the longer it takes to deduplicate as no additional processor, memory, or bandwidth is added. The backup window will ultimately grow to a point where the controller will have to be replaced with a bigger, faster controller which adds cost.
The alternative is a scale-out architecture where appliances are added into a grid. As data grows, the backup window stays fixed in length as each appliance comes with processor, memory, and bandwidth as well as disk. Therefore, both compute and capacity resources are added, allowing for additional deduplication resources, resulting in a fixed-length backup window.
The third area of impact revolves around restores, VM boots, and offsite tape copies. With an inline approach, the stored data is 100% deduplicated and for each restore request, the data needs to be rehydrated, which takes time. If the alternate approach is used – writing direct to disk and then deduplicate the data – the most recent backups are in their complete undeduplicated form and ready for fast restores, instant VM boots, and fast tape copies. The difference in restore time, boot time, and copy time can be measured in minutes versus hours between the two approaches.
With data deduplication, architecture matters.
You cannot simply buy disk with deduplication. Understanding the different architectural approaches and the resulting impact on backup performance and backup window length as data grows as well as the impact on performance when doing restores, VM boots, and tape copies will save you a lot of work over time.

You can back up your WhatsApp audio to your Google Drive and save it. This is a safe way to save the audio, and won’t be lost.
Follow these steps to do so:
Open WhatsApp. Tap on the hreet dots menu and select Settings.
Select Chats.
Then tap on the Chat Backup option.
Next, select your Google Account and tap on the backup option. If you want to back up the videos, then toggle on the switch to include videos.
Wait till the backing-up process completes. You can also enable the Daily option under Backup to Google Drive for daily Backup.
This way all your messages will be backed up to Google Drive daily.
You can also save the WhatsApp voice notes via email. But you can only do it if the voice note file is under 25 MB. If it exceeds the limit, you cannot save it this way.
Now here is the process to save the WhatsApp voice notes via email:
Open WhatsApp & go to the Chat from where you want to save the voice message.
Hold the voice message you want to save and tap on the three dots menu from the top.
Select the Share option.
Next, select Gmail. Input the email address where you want to send and tap the send button.
After sending the audio file successfully, you can go to sent emails and download the file.
Android allows its users to view app data. So, you can save the WhatsApp audio files via your device’s internal storage. Here is how to do it:
For Androids
Open your Android phone’s File Manager.
Next, tap on the Storage icon from the top.
Then select com.whatsapp.
Tap on the WhatsApp option.
Next, select Media.
You will find WhatsApp audio, video, and voice notes files here. The voice messages are stored in the WhatsApp Voice Notes folder, and the music is stored in the WhatsApp audio folder.
Tap on the one you want to save. Like here, I have selected WhatsApp audio files.
Press hold the file you want to save and tap on the More option.
Select Copy.
Now select where to store the file and tap on that.
Paste the file there, and you are done.
For PC
If you are using WhatsApp through your pc, then here is how you can save the voice messages or WhatsApp audio files:
Open the WhatsApp chat window.
Select Save as an option and choose a location you want to save it.
You can easily save the WhatsApp audio files from your iPhone via iCloud. But before doing so, ensure you have enough of the iCloud storage.

How To Upgrade The Storage Of Your Ps4
With games clocking in at gigabytes in the double-digits, downloadable DLC and lots of patches, storage space on modern video game consoles is at a premium. Fortunately, the PS4’s storage space can be upgraded fairly easily. Those who are desperate for a little more breathing room have two options. The scary one (it’s not that scary) is cracking your PS4 open and replacing the internal hard drive. The second, slightly easier option is connecting an external drive. We’ll run through how to do both safely in this article.
Replace the Internal Hard DriveReplacing the internal drive sounds hard, but it isn’t that difficult. However, there are a few steps that are necessary for a smooth transition. First, before you remove the drive currently inside your PS4, you’ll want to back up its data so you can transfer it to the new drive once you have it installed. To do so, simply follow this guide from Sony. Alternatively, you can back up your PS4’s data to the cloud if you are a Playstation Plus subscriber.
Note: replacing the internal hard drive on your PS4 DOES NOT void your warranty.
What You’ll Need
Phillips head screwdriver
USB flash drive
2.5 inch (9.5mm or slimmer) internal SATA hard drive
Playstation 4 operating system
Swap the Hard DrivesTo remove the existing hard drive inside your PS4, you want to unplug your PS4 from the power point. Next, remove the casing on the top-left of the console by simply sliding it to the left. If you have a PS4 Classic, you can pry open the hard drive door at the front of the machine. Alternatively, if you have a PS4 Pro, you’ll be removing the casing at the back of the machine. Once the casing is removed, you should see the hard drive and the bracket. Locate the screws that hold the hard drive bracket in place and remove them. This will allow you to remove the bracket from the console.
Next, you’ll want to take out the screws securing the hard drive to the bracket. With the old drive removed, pop the newer, larger hard drive into the bracket and secure it with the screws. Finally, reverse the removal process to install the new hard drive in your PS4.
Install the Playstation 4 Operating SystemWith the new hard drive installed, you’re ready to get it up and running. The first thing you’ll need to do is download the operating system software to your computer from the Playstation support page. Once you’ve downloaded the PS4 operating system, plug in a USB flash drive and format it to FAT32. If you used a USB to back up your PS4’s data, DO NOT use that USB. You must use a different USB for the operating system.
Note: formatting a drive will erase all data currently on the drive.
Once the USB is formatted to FAT32, create a folder on the root of the USB called “PS4.” Inside the “PS4” folder create another folder called “UPDATE.” Be aware that both the “PS4” and “UPDATE” folders need to be labeled in all caps. Finally, transfer the Playstation operating system to the “UPDATE” folder. Next, plug your PS4 back in and start it up in safe mode. You can do this by holding the Power button down for approximately 8 seconds. Select “Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software),” and sit back while it does its thing.
Restore Backed-Up DataTo restore your data from the cloud, head to Settings and select “Application Saved Data Management.” From here, choose “Saved Data in Online Storage.” Finally, select “Download to System Storage” and follow the prompts.
Connect an External DriveIf opening up your PS4 gives you anxiety, don’t fret. A firmware update last year finally enabled PS4 owners to use external hard drives to beef up their console’s storage space. To use an external hard drive with your PS4, you’ll need to make sure it is USB 3.0 and has a storage capacity between 250 GB to 8 TB. You can use either a portable hard drive or a desktop type that requires an external power supply.

Fortunately, there is a way to connect your DualShock 4 controller to your Mac using nothing more than its built-in Bluetooth. This is a great option because it doesn’t require any additional hardware and you won’t have to contend with a tangle of cables.
At this point grab your DualShock 4 controller and put it in to Discovery Mode so that your Mac can see it. To do this, press and hold the PS button and the Share button simultaneously. The light at the front of the controller should flash on and off if you are successful.
Connect Your DualShock 4 Controller to Your Mac Using a Micro-USB CableIf you don’t want to stuff around with Bluetooth, or if your Mac’s Bluetooth isn’t working, you can connect your DualShock 4 to your Mac using a Micro-USB cable. Using a Micro-USB cable may not be ideal; however, it is a surefire, hassle-free way to use your DualShock 4 controller with your Mac.
To get started, plug in your DualShock 4 controller to your Mac via a micro-USB cable. Then, press the PS button on your DualShock 4 controller to turn it on. You should see the light on the front of the controller turn on, indicating that it is ready to be used. That’s it, your DualShock 4 is ready to go!
