It’s almost summer, and it’s time for something new. Maybe you’re ready to ditch TV and spend time outside, or you want to try out a new carrier. Either way, you’ll have to leave Big Blue in the rearview. Here’s how to cancel your AT&T phone, internet, and TV service.
The process is slightly different for each service, so we’ll walk you through basic instructions for all three. Don’t worry if you find out that the grass isn’t always greener; it’s just as easy to rejoin AT&T if you want to.Porting your number to another carrier Canceling your service
If you’re not porting your number to a new carrier, the process isn’t much more difficult. However, it might cost you more money to flat-out cancel your service. You will have to pay off the remaining balance on your device, no matter how much you owe.
If you’re still on an old plan that involves a service agreement, you may be subject to an Early Termination Fee (ETF) as well. Should you choose to cancel your service in the middle of a month, you will have to pay off that month’s bill, too.
To find out what you may owe in terms of an ETF, follow these steps:
Go to Accounts & Services and find the My Wireless tab.
Scroll and choose the device that you want to check on. Enter the Manage Device & Features menu.
Look for the Service Commitment or My Wireless Contract section, where you’ll find three sections:
If you’re on an AT&T Next contract, there is no ETF
If you make monthly installment payments, there is no ETF
However, if you see that your annual service contract is from X date to Y date, you will have an ETF. Use this calculator to estimate your payment.
Estimate your ETF, if you owe one, and proceed to cancel your service.
Once you’ve calculated your ETF or remaining phone balance, give AT&T customer service a call and inform them that you plan to cancel. You can also use an online chat feature, though the agents may ask you to call instead.
If you’re an AT&T Prepaid customer, you can allow your account to expire 60 days after running out of funds, provided that you don’t have AutoPay active.
How to cancel AT&T internet service

AT&T’s internet service typically includes a 12-month service contract, which means that you will have to pay an ETF if you cancel more than 14 days after activation. Here are the ETFs you can expect if you try to cancel after 14 days:

Make sure you have the account number and PIN on hand.

How to cancel Reface subscription
If you subscribed to Reface on your phone, you can follow the steps below to cancel it permanently.
To cancel Reface subscription on your iPhone, open the Settings app and tap on your Apple ID card at the top.
Inside Apple ID, select Subscriptions.
If you see Reface inside the list of apps and services you’re subscribed to, then select Reface from this screen.
When the app’s subscription details load up on the screen, tap on Cancel Subscription.
This should end your subscription on Reface.

What happens when you cancel a Reface subscription?
If you cancel your Reface subscription on either the App Store or Play Store from the above guide, Reface will be removed from your subscribed apps and services list in the respective store. When you do that, Reface won’t charge you for a future subscription at a later date and you can continue using the free tier of Reface on your iPhone or Android device without any issue.
In some cases, you may also be eligible to get a refund from the respective store. According to Reface’s Subscription policy, you can request a refund if it hasn’t been 48 hours since you made a purchase towards the service on either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. However, users who subscribed to the app’s annual plans with a 3-day trial period won’t be eligible for a refund.
When should you cancel Reface app?
Reface isn’t a paid app on iOS or Android and is, instead, available for free on the App Store and Google Play Store. You’ll only need to cancel Reface on your phone if you’re actually paying for any of its Pro plans on either of these platforms.
If you’re unsure whether you’re subscribed to the app’s paid plans, you can check it on either stores’ websites by following these instructions.

You won’t get refunds for Reface’s annual subscriptions that come with a 3-day trial period.
If the App Store or Google Play Store still charged your subscription amount after you canceled Reface your iPhone or Android device, you will have to report this transaction and ask the respective store for a refund manually.
Find Reface on the next screen and follow the on-screen instructions to get your refund. You’ll be notified when and how your refund will be processed and if you’re eligible for one when you’re done reporting your problem.
Play Store will now check your request and notify you when and how your refund will be processed.

Yesterday, Apple officially announced a new Tap to Pay on iPhone feature. This feature turns your iPhone into a contactless payment terminal – the initial implementation of this capability will target businesses, with Apple making new tools available to developers so companies like Stripe can integrate Tap to Pay into merchant applications.
But could this feature also hint at something Apple could add to the iPhone for peer-to-peer payments on a system-level with iOS 16? It certainly seems plausible…
As Matt Birchler pointed out to me on Twitter yesterday, there are numerous reasons why Apple might have opted to launch Tap to Pay for businesses exclusively as an SDK for third-parties. When it comes to businesses accepting payments, there are a number of complex factors to consider, including inventory management, taxes, and more.
But that’s not to say that Apple couldn’t take the same Tap to Pay technology and implement it natively into iOS for peer-to-peer payments. In fact, there are a number of different reasons why it would make sense for Apple to expand Tap to Pay to support peer-to-peer payments, and why it would be beneficial for users.
In an ideal world, everyone could just use Apple Cash for sending peer-to-peer payments without a third-party app. Unfortunately, that’s not reality. Apple Pay Cash is only supported within the Apple ecosystem (and only in the United States for the time being). This means that if you as an iPhone user want to send or receive a payment from an Android user, you’ll need to use a third-party application like Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle.
If iOS 16 were to expand Apple Cash with a system-level integration of Tap to Pay, this would allow iPhone users everywhere to accept contactless payments for peer-to-peer transactions. Need to split the bill at dinner with an Android user? Simply fire up the Wallet app on your iPhone and your iPhone could accept a contactless payment payment, whether the Android user wanted to pay via Samsung Pay, Android Pay, or even a contactless credit or debit card.
This could all be enabled by the new Tap to Pay feature announced by Apple this week. This feature simply uses the NFC chip inside the iPhone XS and later to turn iPhones into contactless payment terminals akin to what you find at many retailers nowadays.
We’re still waiting on more details on how the SDKs announced by Apple this week will be supported – it could be that a company like Venmo could integrate Tap to Pay into their existing app for contactless peer-to-peer payments. Even if this does turn out to be the case, it would still be useful for Apple users to have a similar function integrated into the Wallet app natively with iOS 16.
Finally, there’s growing precedent for Apple announcing a feature for third-parties, and then announcing its own first-party implementation. On April 7 last year, Apple announced that it was opening the Find My network to third-party products. Three weeks later, it officially unveiled AirTag as its own first-party item tracker with the same level of Find My integration.
Apple is likely to hold its annual WWDC in June, at which it will unveil iOS 16, and its next round of software updates for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more. This is when we’d expect Apple to announce its own implementation of Tap to Pay.

With that, Microsoft Business Division president Stephen Elop, declared that Office 2010 is available for sale to business customers worldwide Wednesday morning at a gala launch event at NBC Studios in New York.
However, beyond the flashy premiere and the new features, Office 2010 is more about collaboration than anything else, particularly when the latest version of Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) venerable productivity applications are paired with SharePoint 2010.
Still, the company’s engineers needed to make a lot of changes — some small, and some large — in order to make the new version a compelling upgrade to Office 2007, which has been very popular since its business launch in January 2007 — whether they buy SharePoint 2010 or not. Those additions and changes need to be compelling or Office 2010 will not be able to displace its older sibling.
The key to making Office 2010 compelling: saving customers money, according to Microsoft.
“We expect a 300-percent return on investment over three years and a payback period of seven months,” Elop told the audience of business customers and media at the launch event, citing a study performed for Microsoft by Forrester Research.
High on the list of improvements aimed at increasing users’ productivity is applying the so-called “fluent” user interface (UI), which includes the “ribbon” context-sensitive tool bar, in a more consistent manner across the applications.
For instance, the Outlook e-mail client adds more ribbon features, making it more consistent with the other core productivity applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, which added the ribbon in Office 2007.
“Just the ribbon is a huge benefit for us … because it enhances our speed to market,” David Glenn, director of enterprise operations for Del Monte Foods, told the audience during an onstage panel discussion among Office 2010 early adopters.
Mark Mastrianni, manager of global technology licensing and acquisition at GE, added that he liked “the way that the applications, with a consistent user interface, all work the same.”
In addition, Office 2010 provides the new Social Connectorthat enables users to track communications history and social network feeds directly into Outlook, according to Microsoft.
Of course, also arriving with Office 2010 are the Office Web Apps, also featuring the ribbon UI, which let users access and work with their documents via their favorite browsers, along with the ability to store and retrieve documents for sharing with Microsoft’s cloud storage feature — Live SkyDrive.

At conference trade shows, I’ve overheard many conversations where a company’s name is recognizable simply because the attendee had heard of someone who worked there. In order industry, people like Jim Boykin, Scott Monty, or Kris Jones have made a name for themselves and their organizations have been brought alongside them in the process.
That being said, it’s important for organizations to recognize the power that conference speaking can have for both their own credibility and their employees. It not only offers employees a chance to represent their company at networking events, it also allows them to become better speakers and topic experts. Growing thought leaders within your organization will help grow your influence and cement your hold within your industry.
