Suggested March 2024 How To Change Snapchat Username On Iphone

What you and your thoughts are today is not necessarily what it was a few years ago when you created your Snapchat account. So, the username you set years back does not reflect or fit with what you are now. Thus you might want to edit it to something you currently prefer! However, due to security reasons, Snapchat doesn’t allow this. But there are workarounds you can use to change Snapchat username. Let’s talk about them!

Your Snapchat display name is visible in most places. You can modify it as many times as you like by following the steps below.

Launch the Snapchat app and tap on your profile picture icon from the top left.

Tap on your current name.

Type the new name and tap on Save.

In step 2, you may also tap on the Settings icon from the top right → tap on ‘Name,’ type the new name and finally tap on ‘SAVE.’

Create a New Snapchat Account and Username

You can delete your current Snapchat account and create a new one with the desired username. However, with deletion, you will lose everything in your account, like its settings, friends, messages, saved snaps, etc. Nobody, including you, can use this username again!

The second option is to leave the current account and create a new one with the fancied username. You may have to use a different email or phone number for this second account.

Here’s how to create a new Snapchat account and add your friends.

Before you begin: If you are already logged in to the Snapchat app, log out of it. For this, tap on your profile icon → Settings icon from the upper right → Log Out.

Inside the Snapchat app, tap on SIGN UP. Allow the app to send you notifications.

Enter your first and last name and tap on Sign up & Accept.

Set your birthday.

Very Important: You will see a username recommended by Snapchat. Since you wish to use your own, tap on Change my username.

Type the desired username and tap on Continue. Think and make the correct choice, as you won’t be able to change it again.

Fill in your password and tap on Continue.

Type your mobile number or tap on ‘Sign up with email instead.’ Next, fill in your email address.

On the ‘Find your Friends’ screen, tap on Continue. Next, tap on OK to permit the app to access your contacts. This will help you find your existing friends. Tap on +Add → Continue to add friends from your contact list. Next, you can choose to create a Bitmoji or not.

Congratulation! You are on Snapchat with your new account.

Signing Off

This is how you can get your desired username on Snapchat. No doubt, it is an inconvenient solution, but this is the only way as unlike Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Snapchat does not let you change the username!

Once you get your new account set up, here are some excellent related resources you might find valuable.

How To Change Your Snapchat Username

There are times when you are no longer happy with your current username on a social media platform and would rather prefer a new one. Snapchat, like other popular messaging apps, offers a way to change your username. Although all you could do was change your Snapchat display name for years. Now, the messaging platform is rolling out a new option to change your actual username without having to delete your account. So, if you’re wondering how to change my Snapchat username, read on to find out how you can do that.

Note: These methods remain unchanged and working as of Snapchat version 12.35.0.30 on iPhone and version 12.35.0.45 on Android.

Snapchat Display Name vs Username

Snapchat username highlighted

Before we detail the steps to change your Snapchat display name and username, let’s discuss the difference between the two in brief. Your display name is your Snapchat profile name, and that’s what users see in the conversation window. It’s not only possible for you to change your own display name, but others can also change your display name on their end.

Note: The option to change your Snapchat username is available to all users now, which means you can easily update your username on Snapchat on your Android or iOS devices. Make sure you update the Snapchat app to the latest version available on Play Store and App Store, in case the option isn’t showing up for you. In case you do not see the “Change username” option even after updating Snapchat, you could try force-closing the app and clearing the cache.

Change Your Snapchat Username on Android & iOS (Official Method)

Snapchat has finally started rolling out the option to change your username. It’s worth mentioning that you can only change your Snapchat username once a year. We have used an Android device for this demonstration, but the steps remain the same on iPhone. With that out of the way, here’s how to change your Snapchat username.

1. Open Snapchat and tap your Bitmoji (or profile) icon at the top-left corner to open your profile. When the profile page appears, tap the Settings gear icon at the top-right corner.

2. Up next, tap on “Username” under the “My Account” section and tap on “Change Username” to modify your current Snapchat username.

4. You should then enter your password and press the “Confirm” button. When the confirmation prompt appears, press “Continue” to confirm the changes.

5. And that’s it! Snapchat will show you a pop-up confirming that you have successfully changed your Snapchat username. As mentioned earlier, you will have to wait a year to change your username again.

Change Your Snapchat Display Name on Android & iOS

1. Open Snapchat and tap your Bitmoji icon at the top-left corner. From the profile page, tap the Settings icon at the top-right corner.

2. Under “My Account” settings, tap “Name” to change your display name. Although you might be tempted to tap on the Username field present below in Snapchat settings, nothing happens when you do that, and you cannot change it here.

4. After saving the new display name, it will immediately show up on your Snapchat profile, as you can see in the image below:

How To Automatically Change Wallpaper On Iphone

We all want our iPhones to look and feel the way we like so that it’s personal to us and stands out among others’ mobile devices. The most basic way to change the way your iPhone looks is by setting a wallpaper from pictures you’ve captured from your camera or the ones you’ve saved from the internet. If you’re like us and you get bored of seeing the same wallpaper for more than a day, you don’t need to apply a new wallpaper every single time.

With the Photo Shuffle feature on iOS 16, you can now set a new wallpaper on your iPhone’s lock screen and home screen at regular intervals without needing to change it manually. In this post, we’ll explain all the ways you can automatically change your iPhone’s wallpaper at regular intervals using this feature.

How to auto-change wallpaper on iPhone using Photo Shuffle

With the iOS 16 update, you can apply wallpapers that change automatically in your preferred interval using the Photo Shuffle feature. While its functionality remains the same, this feature can be used in two different ways – one using featured photos and the other using photos you manually select from your library.

Both these options can be accessed when applying wallpapers directly from the lock screen or using the Settings app. The easiest way to apply new wallpapers is from your lock screen. To get started, unlock your phone using Face ID but do not go to the home screen yet. For this, simply press the Side button, show your face to the iPhone and let the Lock Screen get unlocked. Now, long-press anywhere on the unlocked lock screen.

When the lock screen goes into edit mode, you can add a new wallpaper by tapping on the + button at the bottom right corner.

This way you can keep your current background and create a new one separately.

If you wish to use the alternative method, open the Settings app and select Wallpaper.

On the Wallpaper screen, you will see your current wallpaper previewed at the top.

To add a new wallpaper, swipe from right to left and then tap on the + button as shown on the screen.

Now, depending on which photos you want to shuffle between, follow the instructions on the next screen to get going.

Method 1: Using featured photos

If you want iOS to find and sort through pictures in your camera roll and shuffle them as your wallpapers, then you can use the Feature Photos feature when applying auto-changing wallpapers. To do that, select Photo Shuffle at the top of the Add New Wallpaper screen.

You will also be able to access this option by scrolling down on the screen and selecting a suggested option under “Photo Shuffle”.

iOS will now look for smart photo collections that the Photos app may have compiled from your Photo Library. This collection will include pictures of people, pets, nature, and cities. You must remember that your Photo Library should be processed at this point. If you see the Photo Shuffle is Processing screen, you should go for method 2 in this guide to set auto-changing wallpapers by selecting pictures manually.

If Photo Shuffle is available, you can select different categories of pictures that you. By default, all of the categories (People, Pets, Nature, and Cities) will be selected but you can choose your desired categories by unselecting the ones that are marked with blue tick icons. For the People category specifically, you can tap on Choose to select the people you want to be included in your wallpaper.

Once you’ve chosen your preferred categories, tap on Shuffle Frequency to change how often iOS switches between different pictures on your iPhone.

By default, your iPhone will apply a new photo every hour but you can change it to these options:

On Tap: This option will change your wallpaper every time you tap on an empty space on your lock screen.

On Lock/Wake: This option will apply new wallpapers every time your iPhone is locked and unlocked from sleep.

Hourly: When this option is selected, iOS will switch between different wallpapers once every 1 hour.

Daily: With this option, iOS will apply a new wallpaper every day.

After you’ve chosen your preferred Shuffle Frequency, tap on Use Featured Photos at the bottom.

iOS will apply the Photo Shuffle as your lock screen and home screen background and you can add the desired widgets and modify other elements from the next screen.

Method 2: Select pictures manually

If you don’t like the catalog of pictures iOS has chosen for you or if Photo Shuffle is still being processed on your iPhone, you can choose pictures you want to add to the Photo Shuffle manually instead. To choose pictures to shuffle on your own, tap on Photo Shuffle at the top of the Add New Wallpaper screen.

On the next screen, select Select Photos Manually or Choose Photos Manually at the bottom.

The photos saved on your iPhone will now show up on the next screen. You can choose the images you want to set as wallpapers from the Photos or Albums tabs at the top or select the ones that iOS has categorized into Featured, People, Nature, Pets, and Cities.

You can select up to 50 pictures to choose from for your Photo Shuffle and once you’ve made your selection, tap on Add at the top right corner.

When the selected photos are added, you will see one of them in the preview screen next. From here, you can configure how often the selected pictures are shuffled on the lock screen and home screen by choosing your preferred shuffle frequency. To set or change the shuffle frequency, tap on the 3-dots icon at the bottom left corner.

In the overflow menu that occurs, choose your preferred frequency from the following options:

Daily: With this option, iOS will apply a new wallpaper every day.

Hourly: When this option is selected, iOS will switch between different wallpapers once every 1 hour.

On Lock/Wake: This option will apply new wallpapers every time your iPhone is locked and unlocked from sleep.

On Tap: This option will change your wallpaper every time you tap on an empty space on your lock screen.

After selecting your preferred option, you can further configure your lock screen by adding the required widgets or customizing the clock, or applying filters to the wallpapers. Once ready, you can apply the new wallpaper by tapping on Add at the top right corner.

You will see a preview of your lock screen and home screen on the left and right sides. By default, the background for the home screen would be blurred. If you wish to go ahead with this look, tap on Set as Wallpaper Pair. In case you want to unblur the background on your home screen, tap on Customize Home Screen instead.

If you chose the latter option, you can customize the home screen on the next edit screen. To simply unblur the background on the home screen, tap on Blur.

Note: You should avoid choosing the Color and Gradient backgrounds when customizing the home screen if you wish to pair your home screen wallpaper with that of the lock screen.

When you’re ready, tap on Done at the top right corner to apply the wallpaper.

The new Photo Shuffle wallpaper will now be applied to your lock screen and home screen.

How to Change Google Maps Voice on Apple iPhones

Google Maps in Android phones have a separate assistant and its voice settings. Since Android devices are run on Google’s Android OS, they have a separate assistant for voice commands and text-to-speech settings. But that’s not the case for iPhones. Apple devices run on iOS and the Google Maps voice on iPhones is the same as the default text-to-speech settings built into the iOS program. Hence, in order to change the Google Maps voice on your iPhone, you must change the voice language from default iOS language, thus altering the device’s text-to-speech settings. Here’s how you can do that:

Step 1: Head to Settings.

Step 2: Proceed to General Settings.

Step 3: Tap on Language & Region.

Step 4: Tap on iPhone Language.

Step 5: Select a new version for English language or change the language to change the Google Maps voice.

This process on iPhone or in any iOS/iPad OS device will change the language and voice style for all the apps on the device. If you don’t want that, you can always prefer to use the Apple Maps app against Google Maps, which is exclusive on Apple devices. It runs on Siri and Siri allows changing voice styles along with assistant’s voice gender via making changes in Siri Voice Settings.

Changing Google Maps voice is something of a personal preference. While Android devices have a simple way of doing that, given they are Google-compatible, Apple devices need a major settings change to alter Google Maps voice style. It is preferable to go through this process only in Android devices, unless you don’t mind changing text-to-speech settings for all the other apps on an iPhone.

How To Change Background On Google Meet

Google Meet has prominently risen to be one of the most popular video conferencing app in today’s time of the pandemic. It offers a wide variety of solutions for most types of users and is available to almost everyone who has a Google account. If you were wondering whether or not you can add virtual backgrounds to your video feed in Google Meet then here’s how you can do that.

How to Change your Background on Google Meet on Android/iOS

Google recently added a bunch of effects to the Google Meet app on iOS and Android allows users the ability to blur backgrounds, apply new ones, filters, masks, and other effects to your camera view. In order to change and apply new backgrounds during a Google Meet call, you need to meet the following requirements:

You have an iPhone 6s or newer model running iOS 12 or later

You own Google Pixel 3 or newer, Samsung Galaxy S9 and later, and other compatible devices

Before a Video Call

You can apply different backgrounds to your camera feed before joining a call on Google Meet. To do so, you need to join or enter a Google Meet call with a link or one that’s scheduled. When you do so, you’ll enter the meeting’s waiting screen. Here, make sure your camera is enabled by tapping on the Camera icon on the left side of the Microphone icon and the ‘Join’ button.

When the camera is enabled, tap on the Effects button (the one marked with three stars) inside the camera preview at the top.

This will load up the ‘Effects’ screen with five options: ‘No effects,’ ‘Blur,’ ‘Backgrounds,’ ‘Styles,’ and ‘Filters’. Here, you can apply blur effects, different backgrounds, filters, and styles to your camera to make your video calls more fun.

To apply a background, tap on the ‘Backgrounds’ tab at the bottom.

When you select ‘Backgrounds’, you should get a handful of custom images to apply as your video background including beach, library, office, mountains, sky, art, confetti, home, and more.

Select the background you wish to apply as your background by simply tapping on it and then tap on ‘Done’ at the bottom right corner of the screen to confirm your selection.

You will now be taken back to the waiting screen and you should be able to see the newly set background in the camera preview at the top.

From here, you can enter the meeting with others by tapping on the ‘Join’ button and everyone in the call will now be able to see you in front of your selected background.

During a Video Call

If you hadn’t applied a custom background before entering a video call, you can still apply one after you join it. For this, join or create a meeting with someone using your personal Gmail account and make sure that your camera is enabled.

When inside the meeting screen, tap on the Effects button (the one marked with three stars) inside the bottom right of your own camera preview.

You’ll now be taken to the ‘Effects’ screen. Here, you’ll see five options: ‘No effects,’ ‘Blur,’ ‘Backgrounds,’ ‘Styles,’ and ‘Filters.’

Since you’re here to apply a new custom background, tap on the ‘Backgrounds’ tab at the bottom.

Inside ‘Backgrounds’, you’ll see a bunch of options presented to you including beach, library, office, mountains, sky, art, confetti, home, and more.

Here, select the background you wish to apply behind you by tapping on it and then tap on the ‘X’ icon at the bottom to close the ‘Effects’ overlay.

When you do that, you’ll return to the main meeting screen with the newly applied background that others can view behind you. You can also view the effect inside your thumbnail on the meeting screen.

How to Change your Background on Google Meet on PC

Before a video call

Open your choice of browser and visit Google Meet. You can also use this link.

The image should get automatically applied to your video feed. Depending on the color of your background and your network speed, this could take a couple of seconds.

During a video call

Now select ‘Change background’.

Alternatives you can use

Although the ability to add virtual backgrounds is a great addition to Meet, it doesn’t seem to work well for many users and is nowhere near Zoom’s feature. You might want a better quality solution that does not force you to invest in a green screen and Snap Camera might just be the right solution for you. This tool from the makers of Snapchat comes with a pretty comprehensive facial recognition algorithm that offers much better quality when compared to Google Meet’s quality in this introductory phase. You can refer to this guide in case you wish to try out Snap camera.

How To Change Pc Name On Windows 10

For instance, on Windows 10, most people now use a Microsoft account to sign in. This type of account not only helps you to sign in to multiple devices with the same credentials, but it also allows you to keep an organized inventory, and access other perks, such as features to locate your device and the ability to re-activate Windows 10 after a hardware change. If you don’t rename your Windows 10 PC accordingly, it’s more difficult to use these features.

In addition, a name can help you identify your computer when you have multiple devices connected to the local network. Using a descriptive name, it’s easier to connect with other devices around the house, or even to configure your router to allow or deny access to the internet.

In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to change the name of a Windows 10 desktop, laptop, or tablet using the Settings app, Control Panel, Command Prompt, and even PowerShell.

Change PC name using Settings on Windows 10

To rename a Windows 10 PC using the Settings app, use these steps:

Specify a new name for your computer.

Quick tip: You can use a combination of letters, numbers, and hyphens. Avoid any special characters, keep it short (less than 15 characters is always recommended), and don’t leave a space when you’re trying to use multiple words.

Once you complete the steps, the device will restart, and it’ll start with new name.

After you complete the steps, the computer will reboot, and upon restart, it’ll start using the name.

Change PC name using Command Prompt on Windows 10

To change your PC name on Windows 10 using Command Prompt, use these steps:
