How to change the cover photo of your Instagram Reels before posting it

You can change the cover picture of your Instagram Reels when you’re about to post it. To get to the part where you change the Reels cover, you first need to record a Reels video by opening the Stories camera, tap on the right arrow to confirm the recording, and then tap on the arrow icon on the bottom right corner.

➤ How To Record And Edit Clips for Reels on Instagram

You will now be taken to the ‘Share’ screen of Reels which lets you finalize bits and parts of your Reels video. To change the cover picture of your Reels video, tap on the box labeled ‘Cover’ on the left-hand side of the caption section.

In the next step, you can either set your cover pictures from a frame present inside the video or choose an image from your gallery.

Choosing a frame from your Reels video

When you tap on the cover box inside the Share screen, you will be taken to the ‘Cover’ screen. If you wish to choose a frame to be set as your cover picture, slide over the frame bar at the bottom, to view from a selection of frames that are available inside the video you’re about to post as reels.

Once you’ve made up your mind about which frame to set, tap on the frame, and check the preview image at the top to re-check your selection. When that’s sorted, tap on the ‘Done’ button on the top right corner and then hit the ‘Share’ button to upload your Reels video. Your video will be visible with the cover picture you choose inside your profile’s Reels tab.

Selecting a picture to upload as cover

In this screen, you won’t directly notice the option to add an image from the gallery at first glance. You will have to scroll down to see it and then tap on the ‘Add from Gallery’ button at the bottom. Select a picture from your library and then tap on ‘Done’.

You can now upload your Reels with the selected picture by tapping on the ‘Share’ button at the bottom and you will now be able to see your Reels video with the cover picture that you uploaded from inside the Reels tab on your account.

How to change the cover photo of your Instagram Reels after posting it

You will only be able to add location, caption, or tag people when editing a Reels video that’s uploaded on your profile grid. To do that, tap on the video from your main profile tab (not the Reels tab), hit the 3-dots icon at the top right corner, and select the ‘Edit’ option. This option isn’t, however, available to the Reels video.

You can then re-upload your Reels video by following the process mentioned above.

How To Change Your Snapchat Username

There are times when you are no longer happy with your current username on a social media platform and would rather prefer a new one. Snapchat, like other popular messaging apps, offers a way to change your username. Although all you could do was change your Snapchat display name for years. Now, the messaging platform is rolling out a new option to change your actual username without having to delete your account. So, if you’re wondering how to change my Snapchat username, read on to find out how you can do that.

Note: These methods remain unchanged and working as of Snapchat version 12.35.0.30 on iPhone and version 12.35.0.45 on Android.

Snapchat Display Name vs Username

Snapchat username highlighted

Before we detail the steps to change your Snapchat display name and username, let’s discuss the difference between the two in brief. Your display name is your Snapchat profile name, and that’s what users see in the conversation window. It’s not only possible for you to change your own display name, but others can also change your display name on their end.

Note: The option to change your Snapchat username is available to all users now, which means you can easily update your username on Snapchat on your Android or iOS devices. Make sure you update the Snapchat app to the latest version available on Play Store and App Store, in case the option isn’t showing up for you. In case you do not see the “Change username” option even after updating Snapchat, you could try force-closing the app and clearing the cache.

Change Your Snapchat Username on Android & iOS (Official Method)

Snapchat has finally started rolling out the option to change your username. It’s worth mentioning that you can only change your Snapchat username once a year. We have used an Android device for this demonstration, but the steps remain the same on iPhone. With that out of the way, here’s how to change your Snapchat username.

1. Open Snapchat and tap your Bitmoji (or profile) icon at the top-left corner to open your profile. When the profile page appears, tap the Settings gear icon at the top-right corner.

2. Up next, tap on “Username” under the “My Account” section and tap on “Change Username” to modify your current Snapchat username.

4. You should then enter your password and press the “Confirm” button. When the confirmation prompt appears, press “Continue” to confirm the changes.

5. And that’s it! Snapchat will show you a pop-up confirming that you have successfully changed your Snapchat username. As mentioned earlier, you will have to wait a year to change your username again.

Change Your Snapchat Display Name on Android & iOS

1. Open Snapchat and tap your Bitmoji icon at the top-left corner. From the profile page, tap the Settings icon at the top-right corner.

2. Under “My Account” settings, tap “Name” to change your display name. Although you might be tempted to tap on the Username field present below in Snapchat settings, nothing happens when you do that, and you cannot change it here.

4. After saving the new display name, it will immediately show up on your Snapchat profile, as you can see in the image below:

How To Customize Spotify Playlist Cover Photos

When you create a playlist on Spotify, you normally see a default cover image. This is usually a compilation of album art for the songs in the playlist or a single album cover. While this might be fine for some playlists, you may want something that’s easier to recognize for others.

You can choose a new image from your computer, or on a mobile device, you have the option to snap a photo with your camera. This lets you display whatever cover art you want. Here’s how to customize a Spotify playlist cover.

Table of Contents

Tips for a Spotify Playlist Picture

When you choose a photo or picture for a playlist cover, Spotify has access to that image. So, be sure that you have the right to use the photo, that it does not contain inappropriate images such as nudity, and also does not show private information.

Currently, you can only change the cover for a playlist that you create yourself or the one you see when connected to Shazam. If a pal shares a playlist with you or you find one on the Home tab, you cannot change the cover.

Keep in mind that playlist covers are square and must be below 10MB in size. With this in mind, try to select or crop an image to equal dimensions like 300 by 300 or 400 by 400 pixels. Plus, if you save the image as JPG, it’ll likely have a smaller file size.

As of this writing, you do not need a Spotify Premium account to change a playlist cover image.

Change a Playlist Cover in the Web Player

If you enjoy listening to tunes with the Spotify web player, changing a playlist cover there is easy.

Visit Spotify, sign in, and select a playlist on the left.

When the playlist appears on the right, select the

Select a playlist on the left.

When it displays on the right, select the

for More Options.

Pick

.

Hover your cursor over the current image and select it. Alternatively, you can choose the

and pick

or

if you don’t want a cover at all.

In the browse window that opens, locate the photo or picture you want to use, select it, and pick

.

When the new image displays, choose

to make it the new cover.

Change a Playlist Cover in the Mobile App

With the Spotify app on Android or iPhone, you can choose a photo from your library or use your device’s camera to snap a shot. This gives you more options than on the web or your desktop.

Go to the Your Library tab and choose the playlist. Select the three-dot icon on the playlist screen and choose Edit Playlist on Android or Edit on iPhone.

Either pick Change Image or simply tap the current cover image at the top. Then, do one of the following.

Use a Photo From Your Device

on iPhone.

Locate and select the photo. Then optionally drag to adjust the image in the frame.

On Android, tap the

How To Change Your Interests In Clubhouse

Clubhouse has a nifty algorithm that suggests ongoing and upcoming rooms on the app based on your interests. You select your interests while signing up to the platform but if you’re like me then you probably selected something random to get on with your signing up process.

And now, you are probably suggested rooms that aren’t relevant to your interests? So how do you change your interests in Clubhouse? Let’s find out!

How to change your interests

Open the Clubhouse app and tap on your profile picture in the top right corner.

Now tap on the ‘Gear’ icon in the top right to access your account settings.

Tap on ‘Interests’ to get a list of your current interests.

You will now be shown a list of all the interests that you can select on Clubhouse. The ones highlighted in blue are the already selected interests associated with your account. You can tap on them to remove them from your account.

Similarly, interests in ‘White’ are the ones you can subscribe to, simply scroll and tap on the ones that appeal to you the most.

Once you are done, tap on the back arrow in the top left corner of your screen.

Exit the ‘Settings’ by tapping on the exit icon in the top right.

Tap the ‘Back arrow’ again to go back to your home screen.

Now swipe down on your home screen to refresh your suggestions.

And that’s it! Your new Clubhouse suggestions should now be tailored according to your new interests!

I do not get suggestions based on my new interests

If you do not get relevant suggestions based on your interests, we recommend doing the following in chronological order.

Check if your new interests are actually selected by ensuring that they are highlighted in blue in the Interests section.

Restart the app on your device.

If you are still getting suggestions based on your old interests, then you can log out and log back into the app. This will help refresh your local Clubhouse cache and update your Interests settings to the currently installed app. Follow the guide below to log out and log back into Clubhouse.

Open Clubhouse and tap on your profile icon in the top right corner.

Now tap on the ‘Gear’ icon.

Scroll down and tap on ‘Log out’.

Tap on ‘Yes’ to confirm your choice.

You will now be logged out of Clubhouse. We recommend restarting the app at this point for good measure.

Once the app is restarted, log back in with your credentials.

You should now see new room suggestions based on your current interests.

I still get old suggestions

Well if you are still seeing suggestions for rooms within Clubhouse based on your old interests then we recommend reinstalling the app. This will delete all local files associated with your Clubhouse account and give you the ability to start from scratch. This, in theory, will help the app suggest rooms based on your new interests.

If however, you still face the issue after reinstalling the app, then we recommend getting in touch with the Clubhouse support team as this could be an issue specific to your Clubhouse account. You can use the link below to get in touch with the support team from your registered email address.

The world’s most famous Instagram dogs

Famous Instagram dog #1: Jiffpom (10.2 million followers)

Say hello to what might be the cutest pomeranian you’ll ever see on Instagram. Jiffpom is the most followed dog on social media in 2023 with over 10 million followers on Instagram.

But Jiffpom has some serious IRL accomplishments under his belt (collar?) as well. He’s a three-time Guinness World Record holder and he co-starred in Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” music video. Jiffpom is also the face of a wall calendar with 50 5-star reviews on Amazon.

Key takeaway: One good photoshoot will give you content for days. Jiffpom’s humans organize photoshoots with props or cute outfits and share the results over time. This creates a great mix of highly aesthetic content in their feed. And no one seems to mind seeing the same outfits more than once, as long as the cute pictures keep coming.

Famous Instagram dog #2: Doug the Pug (3.9 million followers)

Now Doug is really something. This adorable pug is an actor and a 2 times People’s Choice Award winner.

Doug has a huge heart and uses his fame for good. His owners started a nonprofit organization, the Doug the Pug Foundation, whose mission is to “bring joy and support to children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.”

Key takeaway: Use your platform to give back to the community. We would argue that engaging in charity and helping those in need is the ultimate way to use social media!

Famous Instagram dog #3: Shinjiro Ono (2.5 million followers)

This charming Shiba Inu from Japan is not just a professional model that many runway stars could look up to — it’s also a business mogul! Maru’s online store features clothing, accessories and home items. Everything is perfectly on brand — and perfectly adorable.

Key takeaway: Once you grow a big following, consider creating a merch line for your personal brand. If your followers are highly engaged on Instagram, they may want to express their love for you in real life too!

Famous Instagram dog #4: Bulldog Blogger (2.2 million followers)

Russia’s most famous dog influencer, the Bulldog Blogger, loves pop culture. Catch him at the costume store, trying to decide between a Wookie get-up and a Wild West-inspired outfit.

Key takeaway: Photos are great, but try grabbing your audience’s attention with videos and slideshows. Test which type of content generates the most engagement and use these insights to refine your strategy.

Famous Instagram dog #5: Tuna (2.1 million followers)

Tuna and his smile have gripped the hearts of over 2 million followers on Instagram. This adorable little dude loves to dress up for his followers, and is even open to filming cameos for fans celebrating special occasions. Tuna also has a secondary account (@travelingtuna) documenting his exciting travels.

Key takeaway: Give longer Instagram captions a shot! The humans who help Tuna run his Instagram empire go with descriptive and conversational captions, and their followers respond! Inspiring your followers to interact with your account is the biggest step to building a truly engaged online community.

Not convinced? Check out our experiment, where we tested whether Instagram posts with longer captions generate more engagement.

Famous Instagram dog #6: Maya the Samoyed (2 million followers)

Maya, a majestic white floof, could be mistaken for a polar bear at first glance (hence her Instagram handle, @mayapolarbear). But she’s a gentle giant that will melt your heart. This glamorous pet influencer is not just big on Instagram — Maya also has a thriving YouTube channel with 1.85 million subscribers!

Key takeaway: Make Reels! Do it! The format has been growing in popularity, and it will just keep getting bigger. Like Maya, you can start with your own take on popular Reels trends.

If you’re wondering whether posting Reels can improve your overall Instagram engagement, take a look at our experiment, where we put that hypothesis to the test.

Famous Instagram dog #7: Kler (1.7 million followers)

Key takeaway: Branch out to other platforms. Like Kler, try to build an engaged following outside of Instagram, too. This will help you reach a wider audience and identify more growth opportunities.

Famous Instagram dog(s) #8: Harlow and Sage (1.7 million followers)

This dog account originally documented the lives of two handsome pups, Harlow and Sage. And while Sage has sadly passed, the doggie family has grown and now includes 4 new members: Indiana, Reese, Ezra and Mae. These pups don’t play dress-up — they’re simply perfect au naturel.

Key takeaway: Use Story Highlights! Harlow & Co. pin popular Stories and Q&As to their account so that their followers can easily revisit their most memorable content.

To make your Story Highlights truly pop, check out our guide to creating beautiful Highlight covers.

Famous Instagram dog #9: Maddie (1.3 million followers)

Maddie is photographer Theron Humphrey’s best friend and the best model he could wish for. The duo travels together, and their photo diary is something you don’t want to sleep on. Campers, canoes, lake houses and curated interiors — this account has it all.

Key takeaway: Define your aesthetic. A polished, consistent feed that’s recognizably you will have your followers coming back for more.

Famous Instagram dog #10: Manny the Frenchie (1 million followers)

Manny is one sophisticated bulldog. On top of being the adorable face or an Instagram account with 1 million followers, he is the author of a book, “Manny the Frenchie’s Art of Happiness” (though we suspect a ghostwriter might have been involved).

Key takeaway: Use IGTV. Longer videos can give your audience a better understanding of who you are and what matters to you. Mannie, for example, uses IGTV to document his visits and donations to animal shelters.

How to make your dog Instagram famous

Be consistent

Making anyone Instagram famous requires work — dogs are no exception.

According to Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, posting 2 feed posts per week and 2 Stories per day is ideal for building a following on the app.

Use different content formats

To keep your account exciting — and your audience interested — make sure you’re leveraging all of the different content formats available on the platform.

Regular photo or video posts will help you show up in your followers’ feeds, Stories are a great way to interact with viewers (e.g. via polls or questions) and Reels can help you reach new audiences through the Reels tab and Explore Page.

Give all of these options a try and keep track of performance to find your perfect content mix.

Engage with your audience

Tip: Accounts with high engagement rates are more likely to work with brands!

Post at the right time

Finding the right time to post is essential for reaching your audience and getting high engagement. You should post when your following is online to give them a chance to interact with your content while it’s fresh.

Find out more about finding the best time to post in this Hootsuite Labs video…

… or use Hootsuite’s Best Time to Publish to get personalized recommendations. This Hootsuite feature tells you when you should post for maximum reach or engagement across all of your social media accounts:

Get props

If our analysis of the 10 most popular Instagram doggos taught us one thing, it’s that people love dogs in costumes. So go ahead and build a fun wardrobe for your rising Instagram star. Just make sure your pup is up for playing dress-up!

Have fun

While running an Instagram account for a pet influencer may eventually bring you fame and paid partnerships with brands, remember what it ultimately comes down to: having fun with your dog and sharing those moments with an online audience of dog lovers.

Make sure that you and your pup don’t venture too far out of your comfort zones to create content. Safety and well-being should always come first! And grumpy puppies are best left alone (or treated with treats and cuddles — not elaborate photoshoots).

4 Ways To Change Posts On Instagram Explore Page

Post Interactions such as Likes and Comments.

Instagram accounts that you’ve followed in the past.

Promotional posts based on your Search History.

Reels Watch History on your Instagram account.

The main idea behind changing posts on the Explore page is to reset and clear all the user interactions, search histories, and cache files that Instagram uses to suggest content for you. As a result, you will get rid of any unnecessary or irrelevant posts that you wish to remove from the displayed suggestions on the Explore page. Follow these easy methods to achieve the same.

The first step to changing posts on the Instagram Explore page is to clear the entire search history on your account. Doing this will prevent Instagram from suggesting content based on your recent searches. Follow these steps for an easy fix:

1. Open your Instagram account and tap on the hamburger menu at the top-right corner.

2. Next, tap on Your Activity and press the Recent Searches option to view your entire search history.

3. Finally, tap on the Clear All button to remove the entire search history of your Instagram account.

1. Open the desired suggested post that you wish to get rid of in the Instagram Explore tab.

2. Next, tap on the three-dot icon and press the Not Interested button to remove the selected post from your timeline.

Similar to other Android apps, the cache files for Instagram store all the user-specific interactions and other temporary files crucial to providing a seamless browsing experience. These files are often used by Instagram and other apps to show content based on your interactions and preferences on the Explore page. To get rid of it, you can remove all such temporary cache files from the Instagram app on your device. Here’s how you can achieve the same:

1. Open the Settings app and tap on Apps.

3. Further, tap on the Storage and Cache option and press the Clear cache button to get rid of all the temporary cache files.

Suggested posts on Instagram often contain links to external websites that people tend to visit and explore. Consequently, all their website interactions get stored in the app in the form of browser cookies and caches. These files are then accessed by Instagram to curate more suggested content on the Explore tab. To get rid of these ‘personalized recommendations and suggestions ‘, you need to clear the browsing data manually inside the app. Follow these easy steps to get it done:

1. Tap on the hamburger menu icon from the top-right corner and go to Settings.

3. Finally, tap on the Clear button to clear all the cookies and cache files from websites you’ve visited while using Instagram.
