How To View Network Adapter Details In Windows
Here we show you several ways to view the details of your network adapter in Windows: one is integrated into the system, and the other is a great Nirsoft tool called NetworkInterfacesView, which lets you dig a little deeper.
1. Using System Information ToolOne of the easiest ways to view network adapter details in Windows 10 and Windows 11 is to use the System Information tool, which provides details about each network interface separately. To open the System Information tool, follow the steps below:
You can also get the same information using the command line, but the information will be less than the one provided by the system information tool. To get network interface information through the command line, just open the command prompt (open Start, type cmd, and select Command Prompt) and issue the following command:
Ipconfig/
allThis will show details about all the network interfaces, whether active or inactive.
In addition to using command prompt to learn more about Windows, try these useful Run commands to better manage your PC.
2. Using the NetworkInterfacesView ToolNetworkInterfacesView is a nifty portable tool from Nirsoft. The benefit of NetworkInterfacesView is that it makes use of the Windows Registry to get information about the active and inactive network adapters. It will list both the network adapters being used, as well as those that have been used in the past, on the computer. It will give you three statuses of the devices:
Active devices will be shown with a green status icon.
Non-operational devices will be shown with a yellow status icon.
Disconnected devices will be shown with a red status icon.
To save details about an individual item, select the item, then “Save selected item” from the File menu. To save details about all the listed items, select “HTML Report – All items.”
NetworkInterfacesView shows the following information about each network adapter:
Device Name
Connection name
IP Address
Subnet mask
Default gateway
DNS Servers
DHCP information
DHCP Servers
Instance ID
Instance GUID
MTU
Status
MAC Address
All this information can be obtained from the system information tool (msinfo32), but NetworkInterfacesView lets you view network adapter details in a more friendly format.
Despite the more dated interface, the tool is still currently supported and works well for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Plus, it’s completely free to use.
3. Device ManagerView network adapter details in Windows using Device Manager. This built-in tool gives you details on all the hardware on your computer. It’s an often overlooked tool that provides a wealth of information.
Type Win + X and select “Device Manager.”
Expand “Network adapters.” You can see if there are any errors or warnings by looking for an X or ! icon beside any adapter. In this case, all is working well.
Navigate through each tab to view more details. The “Details” tab is ideal for viewing most any property about your network adapter. The “Events” tab shows recent events related to the device. You can also check for resource conflicts under “Resources.” Of course, you can add or remove drivers using the “Drivers” tab.
4. Network ConnectionsA final place to view network adapter details in Windows is through the Advanced Network Settings. This is also where you can enable and disable adapters as needed.
Select any network adapter to view more details.
If this doesn’t suit you, there’s another option.
You can view more details, configure the adapter, install/uninstall the adapter, and more.
Troubleshoot Network AdaptersIf you’d like to do more than just view network adapter details, use the built-in Network Adapter Troubleshooter. It’s designed to help find and diagnose errors. When you have multiple network cards installed, this can help to quickly pinpoint the cause of a problem.
Open Start and type “network adapter.” Select “Find and fix problems with your network adapter” from the results, then proceed through the troubleshooting tool.
Frequently Asked Questions What if a network adapter is missing when I view network adapter details? There are three possible problems if you’re missing a network adapter:
The network adapter isn’t installed properly – This usually only happens if you’ve just installed a new adapter or other new hardware and have knocked the network adapter loose in the process.
There’s a driver issue – This can happen when you first install a network adapter in Windows, after Windows Updates, and when upgrading to a new version of Windows. If Windows isn’t installing the right driver automatically, check the network adapter manufacturer for an updated driver.
The network adapter has gone bad – No PC hardware is immune from wearing out. Newer adapters may have a defect, your PC may have overheating issues, or it’s simply worn out (older adapters only).
How can I make Windows reinstall a network adapter? If you’re having issues with a network adapter, sometimes the first step is to uninstall it from Windows, restart, and let Windows reinstall it. This often happens after Windows updates or after installing a bad driver.
Why do different methods show different network adapters in Windows? This all depends on what types of network adapters the tool is designed to search for. For instance, in Device Manager, you may see more devices because this tool lists all the varieties of WAN ports that are supported by a single port. Other tools typically just list the one adapter since it handles all the connections.

Printers have traditionally been problematic on most versions of Windows, so follow along as we guide you through the process.
Printing problems have been a major issue on Windows operating systems for a long time, there isn’t a single version of Windows that has mastered the art of printers and printing. So, as to be expected Windows 11 is no different, with most of the same problems from Windows 10 finding their way over to the new OS. Thankfully there are quite a few different things you can do to solve a range of different issues.
How do you remove a printer driver and the printer driver package on Windows 11?
In order to remove a printer on Windows 11, you’ll need to do the following.
That’s half the process done, you’ll now need to follow the next step to remove the remaining components from your computer. This isn’t compulsory but it will help with a clean install.
Delete printer driver using PowerShell on Windows 11.
The next part of the process is to use the PowerShell tool to uninstall the remaining components of the printer.
Now type the following command to list all the print drivers installed on Windows 11 and press Enter.
Now find your printer on the list then enter the following command:
Remove-PrinterDriver -Name “Your printer name here”
Note: The command should like something like the example below. Referencing my printer (3rd on the list)
Remove-PrinterDriver -Name “HP Officejet Pro 8620”
Installing your printer again after removing everything.
After you have followed all the steps shown above make sure you are using the newest possible printer driver. Simply download this from the manufacturer’s website and install it. Don’t let Windows 11 install a generic driver, this is where a lot of problems stem from.

Windows 10 provides numerous capabilities and is in no doubt one of the best operating systems ever invented.
But some users – especially those familiar with Windows 95 seem to dislike its appearance and would rather stick to the ‘old school’ but nostalgic Windows 95 desktop backgrounds.
And because Microsoft did not include a Windows 95 theme for Windows 10 during the operating system release, passionate users have been frantically searching for a solution with mixed results.
One of DeviantArt users named Kizo2703 came up with a Windows 95 like theme (Free) and most nostalgic users seem satisfied with the results.
Let’s look at the theme download and installation process below, so keep reading.
How do I install Windows 95 theme on Windows 10 PCs? 1. Use a third-party desktop customization suiteWhenever you get tired of the generic Windows 10 look and want to give it a more distinct look, be it with a Windows 95 theme or an ultra-futuristic space-ship theme, a third-party desktop customization tool can definitely come in handy.
Our recommendation software suite is made up of multiple tools that can give your PC a complete overhaul in terms of how it looks.
For example, It includes a great software which allows you to install live wallpapers and screensavers on your PC that you can create yourself.
In the case at hand, you’ll probably like how it comes with another product included, which basically can be used to give your PC an entirely new theme.
With a little bit of tweaking, it can even make it look like it is running Windows 95.
This tool can also make your PC sound like Windows 95 as well, allowing a full nostalgia package to be included in the deal.

2. Use a custom-made Windows 10 themeAnd you can even customize the background colors further instead of sticking with the traditional blue. Here are the steps to follow:
Now, the taskbar in Windows 10 is no longer associated with the theme function so applying the new classic theme will not impact how the taskbar looks like and the only option is playing with the high contrast settings.
How do I uninstall the Windows 95 theme from Windows 10?
Navigate to the following folder: C:WindowsResourcesEaseofAccessThemes
Select the classic theme.
Press delete to erase it.
You delete the theme since you cannot uninstall it like conventional programs. You can now revert to the usual Windows 10 Themes.
We hope that these recommendations were helpful. What method do you prefer when you want to give your modern PC a more nostalgic feel?

How To Install Minecraft Mods On Windows
Imagine how cool it would be if you could get new materials and blocks in Minecraft, know what different enchantments do, and have better-looking graphics (and Pokemons). Minecraft mods allow you to do this and more.
In this tutorial, we go over the process of installing such mods on your PC and explain how mods improve your gameplay and keep it from becoming stale.
What Are Mods in Minecraft?Minecraft is a game with endless possibilities, and you’ll find several Minecraft tips and tricks to enhance your Minecraft experience. However, adding mods to the game takes it to a whole new level.
Minecraft mods are small add-ons to the original Minecraft recipe, built by independent creators to alter different aspects of your Minecraft world.
Some mods change the visuals of the game, while others bring minor quality-of-life changes that make the vanilla Minecraft experience a little more efficient for the players. The changes can be as minor as some basic color corrections and as groundbreaking as an entire gameplay overhaul, complete with multiple texture packs, audio files, physics tweaks, and cutesy hats for your pet pig! They may also introduce entirely new concepts and gameplay elements, such as mobs, places, capes, and even dimensions to visit.
Apart from adding functionality to the game, many mods exist to fix various errors in the game, such as the Java sports multiple item duplication glitch or the TnT duplication glitch we have all misused.
How to Install Minecraft Mods on WindowsMinecraft does not have a direct option to add mods to the game, and most mods require a third-party mod installer. Forge is one of the most popular mod installers for Minecraft. Some mods, like OptiFine, can be installed directly without Forge. However, almost all mods require you to use Forge or Fabric. We cover three ways to install Minecraft mods that work on Windows 11 and Windows 10.
1. Use CurseForgeFollow the steps below to use the third-party application CurseForge to install mods.
Go to the CurseForge website and download the Windows app.
Run the installer and wait patiently for the the app to install.
Select Minecraft from the list of games.
You’ll see another long list of Forge-based modpacks for Minecraft.
2. Install Supported Mods DirectlyWhile some mods require you to use launchers, others mods like OptiFine can be installed directly. Some mods have the option to install directly or via a launcher. However, if you’re only looking for basic mods, it’s better to install them directly instead of using Forge. Follow these steps to install OptiFine directly:
Download
OptiFine
and run the application.
Open your Minecraft launcher, select “OptiFine” from the profiles, and hit “Play.”
3. Use a Custom LauncherCustom Minecraft launchers, like TLauncher, have built-in options that allow easy installation of mods. These launchers come with Forge preinstalled, so you don’t have to install it. Most launchers also have built-in options for OptiFine. The only downside with custom launchers is that they can take a while to load, but that’s always just a matter of a few seconds.
Follow the steps below to install mods using Tlauncher.
Open TLauncher.
Change your version to “Forge.”
Move the files of the mod you want to install to the “C:Users[User_Name]AppDataRoaming.minecraft” folder.
Once your mod is installed, it can be accessed via the Forge profile in TLauncher.
Frequently Asked Questions Are Minecraft mods legal?Minecraft mods are legal throughout the world. Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, allows mods to be used with Minecraft. However, selling modded Minecraft isn’t legal and can get you in serious trouble. You should be good to go if you’re modding just for fun or even distributing the mods for free. Using Minecraft mods on a single player won’t get you banned. However, using certain mods on a server can get you banned on that specific server.
Can Minecraft mods contain viruses? It’s possible. Mods are especially easy targets for hackers, as they don’t require any additional authentication beyond what occurs when you first download and open the file. Anyone who has access to your Internet connection can potentially inject malicious code into one of these programs once it’s loaded onto your computer screen!
To protect yourself from viruses, only install mods from reliable sources, such as CurseForge and Modrinth. Install a mod from another site only if that website is dedicated to one specific mod and the mod isn’t available anywhere else.
Can I still play Minecraft without mods after installing them?Yes, you can. To play without mods, change the profile to the one you used previously. Your mods will stay installed, but they won’t be available in any profile except the one you chose to install them on.
Which Minecraft mods are free? Some of the best free Minecraft mods include:
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: adds a new quest line and a number of characters from the popular manga series.
BetterFPS: optimizes the game’s performance.
JourneyMap: provides an invaluable map tool for exploring the world.
Too Much TNT: adds a variety of new explosives to the game.
Waila: provides players with valuable information about the blocks around them.
Aether: introduces a floating paradise filled with flying animals and plants.
Why does modded Minecraft take so long to load?Modded Minecraft uses more resources than the vanilla version of the game. When you launch modded Minecraft, the game has to load all of the new assets and code for the mods. The process can take longer than loading the basic version, but is necessary to play with the new content. In addition, some mods are more resource-intensive than others, which can also contribute to longer load times.
