Suggested January 2024 How To Save A Friend’s Whatsapp Status On Android
For better or worse, WhatsApp is the foremost messaging platform on Android (as much though as I champion Signal at every possible opportunity). With the “Status” feature, it doubles as a kind of mini social-network platform, letting users post a status that expires after a certain amount of time (although you can also make it permanent).
These statuses can sometimes be funny clips or memes, and if you want to get your hands on them, there’s a way to do it without asking your friends. Here’s how.
What is a WhatsApp status? Why would you want to save a WhatsApp status? How to find and copy WhatsApp statusesThis tutorial was done on Android 10, which is a little more restrictive than previous versions. You used to be able to find the WhatsApp “Statuses” folder using the default Files app, but these days you’ll need to use a third-party app, as it’s become a hidden folder.
We used the retro-looking but reliable Total Commander, but really, you can use any one of our favorite Android file manager apps, and it will do the job.
Using Total Commander (or your file manager of choice), go to “/storage/emulated/0″ (aka ‘Internal shared storage”), then navigate to “/WhatsApp/Media/.Statuses/.”
Frequently Asked Questions Can my friend see if I’ve looked at their status?By default, yes, but in a slightly roundabout way you can make yourself invisible when viewing others’ statuses. To do this, you need to disable “Read receipts,” which is primarily to stop the double ticks appearing when you’ve read messages.

How To Schedule A Text Message On Android
Even with the rise of online messengers that you can use to chat with someone for free, sending a text message remains one of the fastest ways to reach someone on their phone. What if the text you want to send isn’t urgent, and you intentionally want to postpone sending it?
What if you don’t want to forget wishing someone a happy birthday the next day or need to reach someone in a different time zone and don’t want to wake them up with a text? On Android, there are several ways to schedule a text message to be sent at a later time or date. Learn how to use your native Messages app, Google Messages, or a third-party app to schedule a text message to be sent in the future.
Table of Contents
How to Schedule a Text Message on Android in Your Native Messages AppSo you wrote a text but decided to send it another time. The good news is, you can schedule and send your message later, no matter what Android device you have. However, depending on your model, you’ll either need to use a third-party app to do it or not.
For example, if you have a Samsung phone, you can use your native Messages app called Samsung Messages to schedule your texts. To do that, follow the steps below.
Open the Samsung Messages app, find the contact you want to message, and write down your text.
Select the arrow icon on the left side of the text, then select the plus icon to reveal additional options.
From the options, select Schedule message.
Choose the time and date when you want your message to be sent. Select Done to confirm.
To finish scheduling your message, select Send.
How to Schedule a Text Message Using Google MessagesOn many models of Android smartphones, Google Messages is the native Messages app. If that’s the case, scheduling text messages on Android becomes even easier.
To schedule a text message in Google Messages, follow the steps below.
Open Google Messages and type your text.
Hold down the Send button until the Scheduled send option appears and select it.
Pick a date and time when you want the text to be sent.
Select Send to confirm. The button will now display a little clock icon that means your message is scheduled.
What to Do if You Can’t Schedule a Text in Google MessagesIf you opened your native Messages app and didn’t find the Scheduled send option, it could mean one of the two things. Your native Messages app is different from Google Messages, in which case you can simply download and install Google Messages to make it work.
Alternatively, the feature may not have rolled out for you yet. You can either wait for the update to reach you or find Google Messages on the Play Store and join the beta program on the product page. The beta version of the app will include the feature.
Use Third-Party Apps to Schedule a Text Message on AndroidYou can also use a third-party app to be able to schedule your text messages as well as use other workarounds.
Use Pulse SMS to Postpone Your Text MessagesIf you don’t like using Google Messages, Pulse SMS is a good alternative. The Pulse SMS logo even looks similar to that of Google Messages. Naturally, the process of scheduling a text in Pulse SMS mimics Google Messages too.
After you download and install the app, open it and select the plus icon in the bottom-right corner of the app. Choose the contact that you want to send a text to. Then, hold down the Send button on the right until you see the option to schedule the text.
Select the date and time when you want your message sent and select OK. Write down your message and select Save.
Pulse SMS will send it on a day and time that you chose.
Schedule Your Texts Using Do It LaterDo It Later sounds like an app for procrastination, but it’s an app for automating your messages. Aside from scheduling your emails and text messages to be sent later, Do It Later allows you to automatically reply to calls, texts, WhatsApp messages, and even emails.
To schedule a text in Do It Later, open the app, select the plus icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen, then choose Message. Next, add the recipient, write down your message and select when you want the app to send it.
To confirm, select the tick icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Do It Later will take care of the rest for you.
Write Down Now, Send LaterWriting down a thought when it crosses your mind always helps to remember it later. The same is true for text messages. So write down your message the minute you think about it, and if it doesn’t seem like the right time to send it, schedule it to be sent later.
How To Check Your Apple Warranty Status
This article explains how you can check your Apple product warranty status and eligibility to purchase an AppleCare product.
Apple designs, manufactures and sells various products, including the iPhone, the iPad, the Mac, the iPod, the Apple Watch, the Apple TV, the AirPods, the HomePod, and the other Apple-branded accessories (keyboards, etc).
Apple product warrantiesApple offers warranties on new or refurbished Apple hardware. When you buy an Apple product, it usually comes with the Apple Limited Warranty. This warranty, basically, says that Apple warrants your products against defects and workmanship under normal use for one year.
Apple offers additional warranties. You extend (and upgrade) your protection if you purchase AppleCare+ or the AppleCare Protection Plan. The pricing for this additional coverage differs. For example, Apple’s extended warranty service costs $199 for the iPhone X, XS, and XS Max, offering two-year coverage including accidental damage. You can buy this when you buy your device or within the 60 days of your purchase.

1. My Support site: You can view all of your devices and their coverage online if they use the same Apple ID. Here is how:
Open Safari or any other browser on your device.
Once you log in, you will be able to view a list of all of your Apple devices.
2. My Support app. One of the ways that Apple offers support is the My Support app which is available on the App Store. You can download and use this app to check your warranty options (you can also contact Apple support via this app). Here is how:
On your iPhone or iPad, download the app.
Once installed, open the app and sign in.
Tap your name and avatar.
Tap Check Coverage.
Here you can see all of your devices and their coverage. If your device has no coverage, it will say “Out of Warranty”. If you tab your device, you will see more details about it.
3. The Check Coverage website. And the last method is to the Check Coverage website. You may want to use this method especially if the device that you are checking its warranty status is not useable. For example, the device won’t turn on or its screen is broken so you cannot use the methods above. For this method, however, you will need to know the device’s serial number. The next section explains how you can find your device’s serial number even if it is not working. Here is how you can use this website to check your warranty options:
Open Safari or any other Internet browser (e.g., Chrome) on your device or computer.
The new page will display your coverage.
How do I find my serial number? So you want to know your product’s serial number.
If you can turn on the product:
If you cannot turn on the product:
If you have your receipt or invoice, your serial number will be there.
If you have the original packaging, it may contain its serial number.
Most Mac (including desktop and notebook) models include their serial numbers on the underside of them.
AirPods serial numbers are on the underside of the lid.
Some Apple Watch models’ serial numbers are printed on the band slot.
Check your product’s surface. For example, you can find the serial number on the back of some iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad models.
You can find the serial number on the SIM tray on some iPhone and iPad models.
If you have a computer, you can find your serial number bu going to the Apple ID website. Here is how:
Sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Scroll down and find the Devices section.
A popup will display the details.
How To Recall Whatsapp Messages (Guide)
The most widely-used messaging platform, WhatsApp has taken another step towards the improvement of your conversation experience. It has introduced a message recall feature, called Delete for Everyone, to make it easier for you to prevent the recipient from reading your wrongly sent messages. You now have the option to delete the messages in the chat window, not only for yourself but also the recipient of these messages. So, let us see how you can save yourself and delete messages you didn’t intend to send to someone.
Use ‘Delete for Everyone’ Feature in WhatsAppNote: I tried the recall features on WhatsApp v 2.17.400 Beta my OnePlus 5 running Oxygen OS (Android 7.1) and Nexus 5X running Android Oreo 8.1.
Let’s assume you wrongly sent a text message to someone on WhatsApp and you’ve come to the realization that it was not meant for them. No worries. Here are the steps you need to follow to delete the message for everyone in a conversation, be it an individual or group chat:
1. Open the chat window and long-press the wrongly sent messages to select them. You will now see a familiar set of buttons at the top of the chat window. Tap the “delete” button to open its pop-up window, where you’ll select the “Delete for Everyone” option to retract your sent messages.
2. In doing so, the text within the message bubble on WhatsApp is replaced with a “This message was deleted” for the recipient. And you’ll see a “You deleted this message” tag on your screen.
3. If you want to delete messages just for yourself, you can do so by tapping the “Delete for Me” button in the same pop-up window.
With the ability to delete sent messages for everyone, you can now save yourself from the embarrassment of sending messages to the person it wasn’t intended for.
Things To Know About the Recall Feature in WhatApp1. WhatsApp is not giving you complete freedom to delete messages for everyone at any time. You only have 7 minutes after sending the message to take action and choose the Delete for Everyone option. Once the said time frame is complete, you can no longer recall sent messages.
2. The most important thing being that ‘Delete for Everyone’ will only work when the recipient is using the latest version of WhatsApp, which supports the said feature.
3. The message recall feature will not only work for text messages but is also said to be compatible with images, GIFs, voice notes, contact cards, location, documents, status replies, and more. Also, the messages work in both group chats and individual chats. There is currently no support for recalling quoted messages. =
4. The Delete for Everyone action will also make message notifications disappear. You don’t have to worry about recipients reading your texts even in the notifications. They will be replaced with the same ‘This message was deleted’ tag.
6. The message recalling feature is rolling out to iOS, Android, and Windows users. This means your recalling requests for messages sent to Symbian phones and BlackBerry phones won’t work, so you’ll need to be careful not to send them messages mistakenly.
WhatsApp’s fiercest competitor Telegram has had the recalling feature for months but its implementation is a little different. When you delete sent messages to your recipient on Telegram, all the selected messages just vanish from the conversation. The same is not the case with WhatsApp, as you may have read above.
I’m personally not a huge fan of Telegram’s implementation since it leaves no trace of sent messages in the chat window, for both the sender and recipient. I believe the replacement of the sent messages with a “deleted message” tag is important as it, at least, assures the recipient that some message(s) were sent to them. This is not possible on Telegram, which could be because of its heavy focus on user privacy.
