For example, if you have a Samsung phone, you can use your native Messages app called Samsung Messages to schedule your texts. To do that, follow the steps below.

Open the Samsung Messages app, find the contact you want to message, and write down your text.

Select the arrow icon on the left side of the text, then select the plus icon to reveal additional options.

To schedule a text in Do It Later, open the app, select the plus icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen, then choose Message. Next, add the recipient, write down your message and select when you want the app to send it.

To confirm, select the tick icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Do It Later will take care of the rest for you.

In today’s article, you’ll learn how to use some keyboard (or alt code) shortcuts to make or type the Club Symbol (text) anywhere like Word/Excel using Windows or Mac.

Just before we begin, I’ll like to tell you that you can also use the button below to copy and paste the Club sign into your work for free.

However, if you just want to type this symbol on your keyboard, the actionable steps below will show you how.

To type the Club Symbol on Mac, press Option + 2663 shortcut on your keyboard. For Windows users, simply press down the Alt key and type 5 (for black Club) or 2667, Alt+X (for white Club) using the numeric keypad, then let go of the Alt key.

These Club sign shortcuts can work only in MS Word.

The Club Symbol alt code is 5 (for black Club suit) and 2667 (for white Club). Even though the Club Symbol does not have a dedicated key on the keyboard, you can still type it on the keyboard with the Alt code method.

To do this, open your Word document and place the insertion pointer where you need to type the symbol. Then press and hold the Alt key whilst typing the Club Symbol Alt code (i.e. 5) using the numeric keypad.

To type the white club suit, type 2667, then press Alt and X keys simultaneously to convert the code into a club symbol (white).

This method works on Windows only. And your keyboard must also have a numeric keypad.

Below is a break-down of the steps you can take to type the Club Sign on your Windows PC:

Place your insertion pointer where you need the Club Symbol text.

Press and hold one of the Alt keys on your keyboard.

Whilst holding on to the Alt key, press the Club Symbol’s alt code (5). You must use the numeric keypad to type the alt code. If you are using a laptop without the numeric keypad, this method may not work for you. On some laptops, there’s a hidden numeric keypad which you can enable by pressing Fn+NmLk on the keyboard.

Release the Alt key after typing the Club Sign Alt code to insert the Symbol into your document.

How To Show Some Custom Menu On Text Selection?

In some text editors, when you select the text, it shows the menu to edit texts and provides functionalities like justifying text, aligning text, increasing the text size, changing colour, etc. Microsoft word is the best example of it. In Microsoft word, when you select any text, it shows the custom horizontal menu to perform some actions on the text.

This tutorial will use JavaScript to create a custom menu on the text selection.

Users can follow the syntax below to show some custom menu on text selection.

In the above syntax, we get the coordinates of the content div. After that, we find the x and y position for the custom text menu. Next, we can change the position of the custom text menu using JavaScript.

Step 1 − In the HTML, create a div and add text. Also, create a custom menu and style it using CSS.

Step 3 − When the ‘mouseup’ event triggers on the document, use the getSelection() method to get the selected HTML.

Step 4 − Use the toString() method to convert the HTML to text.

Step 5 − Check the text. If the text is empty, hide the custom menu.

Step 6 − If users have selected some text, get the coordinates of the selected text.

Step 7 − Define the ‘posX’ variable and store the horizontal position of the custom menu. Also, define the ‘posY’ variable to store the verticle position of the custom menu.

Step 8 − Set the left and top positions of the custom menu using the value of the ‘posX’ and ‘posY’ variables.

In the example below, we have created the div element and added some text content. Also, we have created the custom menu and styled it using CSS. In the custom menu, we have added the copy and cut text.

In JavaScript, we have implemented the above steps to show a custom menu if users select some texts. In the output, users can try to select the text, and they will see a custom menu at the top of the text.
