Have you lost your contacts on your iPhone and now you’re wondering how to get them back? This tutorial shows you how to restore missing iCloud contacts and get them back on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Check out this related post if you lost some or all contacts on Mac.
How to recover missing iCloud contactsBefore doing anything, I suggest you visit chúng tôi log in with your Apple ID, and go to the Contacts section. Make sure you have the contacts there. Obviously, if you don’t have any contacts in iCloud, you won’t be able to bring any of them back to your iPhone.
Here are the solutions to get back your missing iCloud contacts inside the iOS Phone and Contacts app.
1. Make sure you’re signed into iCloudFirst, you must check that you’re signed in to iCloud. To do that, go to iPhone Settings and if you see your name at the top, that means you’re signed in. If you’re already signed in, move on to solution 2. If you’re not signed in, sign in with the same your Apple ID you use on your iPhone.
2. Ensure iCloud Contacts is enabled
Go to iPhone Settings and tap your name from the top.
Tap iCloud.
Under iCloud settings, make sure the Contacts toggle is on. If it’s not, switch it on. In case your contacts still aren’t coming back, continue to the following step.
In iCloud settings, turn the Contacts toggle off. You will be asked whether you want to keep or delete previously synced iCloud contacts. Choose delete. Don’t worry about losing anything since it will only delete the contacts that are locally stored on your iPhone or iPad. It will not delete contacts that are stored in iCloud.
Now, turn the Contacts toggle back on.
This trick should do it, and all your iCloud contacts that were missing should now be restored. As with any troubleshooting, your mileage may vary and if this didn’t work for you, follow the remaining solutions below.
3. Enable iCloud in iPhone ContactsAlthough your iCloud contacts might already be on your iPhone, they could have been accidentally hidden. Here’s what to do if that is the case:
Open the Contacts app or the Phone app and tap Contacts.
Tap Groups from the top left.
Make sure All iCloud (and your other added accounts like All Gmail) are checked.
Tap Done, and in a while, you should see the missing contacts.
Note: If you don’t see Groups in step 2, that’s because you have not added two or more accounts (like iCloud, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) or have not created any contact groups. In this case, you can skip the above steps.
4. Connect your iPhone to the internetFor iCloud contacts to sync and show up on your iPhone, the device must be connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data. If you’re facing slow or poor internet speeds, restart your Wi-Fi router. If you are using a VPN, try turning it off.
5. Restart your iPhoneAt times, the above changes may not come into effect and fail to restore the missing contacts unless you restart your iPhone. Before moving forward, turn off your iPhone, wait for 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
6. Update your iPhone 7. Sign out of Apple ID and sign in againWhen you sign out of your Apple ID or iCloud on iPhone and sign back in, it refreshes everything. While doing so, you’ll be asked if you want to keep a copy of the contacts. Make sure you choose to delete them. Once you’re signed out, sign in again, and this will resync all the iCloud contacts, including the missing ones.
8. Reset all settingsFinally, if nothing helps, reset all iPhone settings. Once that’s done, follow the first method explained here and make sure the Contacts toggle is enabled in iCloud settings. This should most likely fix the lost contacts issue on your iPhone.

Here Are Some Of The Best Apps For Shooting And Editing Video On Iphone
iPhone has become the primary camera of many people around the world – not only because of its quality, but also because of the great apps available on the App Store. This year we’ve made a list of the best apps for shooting and editing video on iPhone.
FiLMiC ProFiLMiC Pro is probably the number one app for users who are serious about shooting video with their iPhone. The app comes with multiple manual controls that let you adjust focus, exposure, ISO, frame rate, zoom, and more.
There are also options to quickly switch between color profiles, HDR modes, ProRes codecs, and resolutions. Pro users have access to gamma curve controls, image stabilization, movie presets, audio synchronization, and downsampling.
FiLMiC Pro is available on the App Store for $14.99. Some extra features can be unlocked through in-app purchases.
DoubleTakeDoubleTake is an app created by the same developers behind FiLMiC Pro, but this one focuses on letting users shoot a video using two iPhone cameras at the same time. The app was highlighted by Apple at the iPhone 11 Pro launch event in 2023.
You can choose two different lenses to record a video at the same time, which is great for multi-cam projects. Users can combine the front camera with one of the rear cameras, or even use two different rear lenses. There’s also an option to easily create a single video using multiple lenses with a split-screen effect.
In addition to the multi-cam features, users can adjust and choose frame rate, resolution, focus, and exposure.
DoubleTake costs $3.99 and is available on the App Store without in-app purchases. It’s worth noting that the multi-cam feature requires an iPhone 11 or later.
Carousel CameraSome people are used to recording videos vertically because of social networks, but they don’t look as good to watch on a TV or computer. But what if we could record a single video that fits both orientations?
Carousel Camera records videos using a square format to enable a great trick when you’re watching them on your phone. This way you can rotate your iPhone vertically or horizontally and you’ll never see black bars.
And if you want to export the video, the app offers options to save it in 16:9, 9:16, and other aspect ratios.
Carousel Camera is available for free on the App Store, but some features require a $0.99 in-app purchase.
Focos LiveiPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are capable of shooting videos in Portrait Mode thanks to Cinematic Mode, but this feature is not available for previous iPhone models. With Focos Live, you can have Portrait Videos on other iPhone models.
The app combines depth data from the iPhone’s rear cameras to create the effect of a blurred background in videos. Focus Lens works even better with the TrueDepth camera and the LiDAR scanner on the iPhone 12 Pro and the latest iPad Pro.
Besides blurring the video background, the app lets users edit the videos with filters, color adjustments, and other effects.
Focos Live is available for free on the App Store, but some features require a subscription available through in-app purchases.
LumaFusionLumaFusion is a well-known video editor for iOS that has become a must-have for professional editors working with iPad. However, the app also offers an iPhone version with the same powerful features.
Once you have finished editing your video, there are settings to export it in different resolutions, codecs, frame rates, and sources.
LumaFusion costs $29.99 and is available on the App Store. Some extra features are available through in-app purchases.
iMovieAnd if you’re looking for something more affordable and easy to use, there’s always Apple’s iMovie. Apple’s video editor that was first designed for Macs can also be downloaded on iOS devices.
iMovie brings an extremely intuitive interface to let anyone edit their videos directly on the iPhone. Users can use the app to crop, cut, adjust speed, and add effects to videos. There are also options to add titles, songs, sound effects, and even edit videos recorded with Cinematic Mode on iPhone 13.
iMovie is free and can be downloaded on the App Store. There are no in-app purchases, but some features are only available for the latest iPhone and iPad models.
Wrap upWith these apps, you will certainly be able to shoot and edit videos with a more professional look using just your iPhone.

How To Back Up Your Iphone
We may earn revenue from the products available on this page and participate in affiliate programs. Learn more ›
Your iPhone is home not just to all your favorite apps, but also to important and irreplaceable data and personalized settings. Should your phone ever stop working properly or even go missing, you want to be able to restore all your apps, data, and settings, either to the same phone or to a different one. And you want that process to be as quick and easy as possible. That’s why backing up your iPhone periodically is crucial.
The process of learning how to back up your iPhone is fairly straightforward, However, you can choose from a few different backup methods, such as backing up to iCloud or to your computer and backing up manually or automatically. Here’s how it all works:
Want to protect your phone as well as your data? Check out our list of the best iPhone 13 cases for 2023.
iCloud vs local backup Backing up to iCloudChoosing iCloud stores your backup in Apple’s cloud-based service. With this method, you run the backup directly from your phone, so you can do this at home or on the go. As your backup is saved in the cloud, you’re also able to restore it from any computer. On the downside, Apple limits the amount of free iCloud storage to only 5GB. If your phone needs more space for backups (and it likely will), you’ll have to shell out money for a paid iCloud subscription—50GB of storage for $0.99 cents a month, 200GB for $2.99 a month, or 2TB for $9.99 a month.
Backing up your phone to iCloud includes the following data and files:
App data
Apple Watch backups
Device settings
Home screen and app organization
iMessage texts, SMS messages, and MMS messages
Photos and videos
Purchase history from Apple services, such as your music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books.
Ringtones
Visual Voicemail password (requires the SIM card in use during the backup)
An iCloud backup excludes the following items:
Data already being synced and stored in iCloud, including Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Photos, iMessages, SMS and MMS messages, Voice Memos, and Health data.
Data stored in other cloud services, such as Gmail email.
Apple Mail data.
Apple Pay information and settings.
Face ID or Touch ID settings.
iCloud Music Library and App Store content.
Backing up locallyChoosing a local backup stores the backed-up data on your computer’s hard drive. As such, storage shouldn’t be an issue as long as you have enough disk space. You run the local backup from iTunes in Windows or from Finder on a Mac. But you risk losing the backup should your PC ever crash or become inaccessible. Backing up to your computer includes almost all your phone’s data and settings. It excludes the following items:
Content from the iTunes and App Stores.
PDFs downloaded directly via Apple Books.
Content synced from Finder or iTunes, such as imported MP3s or CDs, videos, books, and photos.
Data already stored in iCloud.
Face ID or Touch ID settings.
Apple Pay information and settings.
Apple Mail data.
Activity, Health, and Keychain data (if the backup is not password protected).
Of course, you can run separate backups using iCloud and your local computer. You may want to rely on an iCloud backup if you’re traveling or away from your computer. You might then supplement the iCloud backup with a local backup whenever you’re in front of your PC.
Manual vs automatic backupWhether you use iTunes, Finder, or your iPhone directly, you can run a backup manually or set it to run automatically. The two aren’t exclusive, as you can create an automatic backup and still run a manual one when needed, for example, before you make any major changes on your phone. Once set, an automatic backup revs up when your iPhone is connected to a power source, is using Wi-Fi or cellular, and is locked.
Using a passwordSecuring your backups with a password not only protects the data but allows you to back up certain types of information that normally would be excluded. A password-protected, or encrypted backup, includes saved passwords, Wi-Fi settings, your website browsing history, health data, and call history. Backups to iCloud are automatically encrypted. To encrypt a local backup to your computer, you’ll have to create and apply a password. All local backups are then encrypted from that point on.
Back up in Windows with iTunesLance Whitney
To set up an automatic and local backup from iTunes, select This Computer in the Automatically Back Up section. The next time your iPhone is connected and locked, and you open iTunes, the backup will occur automatically. The Latest Backups section shows the date and time of the last backup.

Back up on your Mac with FinderWith the introduction of macOS Catalina in 2023, Apple replaced iTunes with dedicated apps for specific content, such as Apple Music, Apple Books, and Apple Podcasts. Those of you still running an older version of macOS can use iTunes to back up your iPhone just as on a Windows PC. But if your Mac has macOS Catalina or higher, you instead use Finder for your phone backups. The process in Finder is almost the same as in iTunes.

Back up to iCloud from your iPhoneYou don’t even need your computer or iTunes or Finder to back up your iPhone to iCloud as you can do it directly from the phone itself. And you’d use this method to back up your phone manually or automatically. On your iPhone, go to Settings and tap your name at the top. From your Apple ID screen, tap the setting for iCloud.
Lance Whitney
First, this screen shows you how much space is used up in iCloud so you can determine if you need to upgrade to a paid subscription. If you’re running low on space, tap the option for Manage Storage. At the next screen, tap the option for Change Storage Plan. Now choose the plan you want to purchase.
Lance Whitney
Return to the previous iCloud screen and tap the setting for iCloud Backup. Turn on the switch for iCloud Backup. Your phone will now be backed up automatically when the phone is connected to power and locked. If you want the backup to run even over a cellular connection, turn on the switch for Back Up Over Cellular. To perform a manual backup at any time, tap the option for Back Up Now.
Lance Whitney
Restore your phoneNow, let’s say your phone isn’t working right and you want to recover it from a backup, or you’ve had to jump ship to a different phone and need to restore all your data and settings. The process will vary depending on how and where you backed up your phone and its current state.
Lance Whitney
If your iPhone isn’t accessible or you want to restore your backup to a new phone, at some point in the setup process you’ll see a screen named Apps & Data asking how you want to restore your apps and data to the phone. To restore from an online backup, choose the option for Restore from iCloud Backup. Sign into your iCloud account with your Apple ID and password. A verification code is then sent to one of your other devices, such as an iPad or Mac. You’re asked which backup you want to restore. Choose the latest one. Allow the iCloud restore to run.

Iphone Screen Too Dark Or Dim? Here Are 15 Ways To Make It Brighter
In this tutorial, we show you how to increase the brightness of your dark iPhone screen and prevent it from decreasing automatically and unnecessarily in the wrong situations.
Is it normal for my iPhone screen to be too dark or randomly change brightness?
Yes. It’s normal for your iPhone screen to automatically dim and change the brightness levels depending on ambient lighting.
Most smartphones, including your iPhone, have an ambient light sensor that powers the auto-brightness feature. Using this, your phone analyzes the light around you and adjusts the brightness of the iPhone display accordingly.
For example, if you are in strong light (like sunlight, studio, etc.), it’ll automatically set your iPhone display to the maximum, making it easier to see. But when you are in poor lighting conditions (indoors, in a movie hall, at night with lights off, and such), the iPhone screen brightness will automatically be at the minimum level. This ensures your eyes are comfortable viewing the display.
In most cases, auto-brightness works flawlessly. But since your iPhone brightness is low or automatically goes down abruptly at inappropriate times, auto-brightness is the most likely culprit.
How to fix iPhone dark screen and make it brighter
Let’s see how to fix it and make your iPhone screen bright again. As always, we will start with the basic solutions. And for most users, these basic ones are sufficient to solve the dim screen brightness issue. If not, you can turn off auto-brightness to fix this issue (steps below).
1. Wipe the top of your iPhone
The top portion of your iPhone has the ambient light sensor responsible for reading the light levels around you and adjusting the screen brightness.
After long calls, the top part of your iPhone might get body oils, dirt, etc. All these block the ambient light sensor from functioning correctly.
So, if your iPhone screen brightness is automatically going down even when you’re sitting at the same place with constant light, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the top portion of your iPhone.
Once that’s done, iPhone screen brightness should not misbehave.
Further, if you are using such a fancy or seal-proof case that blocks the top part of your iPhone, please remove it so that auto-brightness can function correctly.
2. Check iPhone screen brightness and manually adjust it
Here are three ways to increase your iPhone screen brightness:
I. Via the Control Center:
Open Control Center.
On iPhone with Face ID, swipe down from the top-right of the screen.
On iPhone with from Home button, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
Drag the brightness slider up.
II. Via the Settings app:
Drag the brightness slider to the right.
III. Using Siri:
Call Siri using any method you usually do. Now, ask it something like:
Turn up screen brightness.
Increase screen brightness.
Set screen brightness to 75%.
Set screen brightness to maximum.
3. Restart your iPhone
During regular use, it’s not unusual for your device to temporary glitch. One reliable and quick solution to fix this is to switch off your iPhone and switch it on after a minute.
4. Check Accessibility settings
Reduce White Point lowers the intensity of bright colors on your iPhone screen, making it easier for some people to see the display. When it’s enabled, your iPhone screen goes dark even when brightness is all the way up.
Here’s how to turn off Reduce White Point to fix the dim iPhone screen:
Open Settings and tap Accessibility.
Tap Display & Text Size.
Turn off Reduce White Point.
If you want to keep it enabled, drag the slider to the left at 25% only.
5. Turn off Low Power Mode
Higher the screen brightness, the more battery it consumes. Thus, your iPhone will slightly decrease the screen brightness in low power mode to preserve the battery.
6. Screen brightness in VLC and other media apps
Many video player apps or ones where you edit photos and clips have their own screen brightness slider. Some browsers like Aloha also have an invisible screen brightness slider when you play videos in them. One random, unintentional swipe down on the screen, and the iPhone brightness might go down.
To address this, look for any brightness button or slider in the app and make sure it is set to a comfortable level. If none is visible, consider swiping vertically (or horizontally) on the screen’s left and right (and top and lower) parts to reveal any such brightness slider.
7. Turn off Do Not Disturb
8. Turn off auto-brightness on iPhone
Disabling auto-brightness is almost a sure-shot way to fix the issue of your iPhone screen brightness going down automatically. But I do not want you to disable it just yet because auto-brightness is an excellent feature that keeps your eyes comfortable and helps extend your iPhone’s battery life. So, I would recommend that you first read the FAQs below. And if they don’t address your problem, you can turn off auto-brightness.
Here’s how to disable auto-brightness to fix inconsistent screen brightness:
Open the iPhone Settings app and tap Accessibility.
Tap Display & Text Size.
From the bottom, turn off the switch for Auto-Brightness.
Now, open the Control Center and set the brightness as per your wish. It will stay the same and no longer decrease (or increase) automatically, making your iPhone dim.
9. Turn off iPhone screen zoom
10. Prevent iPhone from dimming by disabling Attention Aware Features
11. Tips to make your iPhone screen comfortable
In addition to good brightness, the following suggestions can come in handy to make it easy for you to view the iPhone display and navigate around.
If you do not like the dark appearance, tap Light. Also, turn off the Automatic toggle to prevent the dark look from kicking in automatically.
Disable True Tone and see if you prefer this screen appearance or not.
Tap Auto-Lock and set it to 2 minutes or more. This will prevent the iPhone screen from dimming and locking quickly. Please note that when your iPhone is in Low Power Mode, it automatically dims and shuts after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Tap Text Size and increase it using the slider below.
Enable Bold Text.
Tap View and set Zoomed to have bigger app icons and elements.
12. Let your iPhone cool down
If you have been using maps, navigation, etc., in sunlight, chances are your iPhone is too hot. As a result, its screen brightness may have been temporarily affected. To address this, force close the open apps and let your iPhone cool down. Even better, turn it off for a while.
13. Remove your iPhone screen protector
Please ignore this section if your iPhone screen brightness has been misbehaving only recently.
But if your iPhone screen has been too dark for a long time, or when you compare your iPhone screen to that of a friend or at an Apple Store and think your screen is too dark and unimpressive, it may be because of the additional screen protector. No doubt, screen protectors are to protect your display if your device takes a fall. But if brightness is paramount, you may consider removing this obstruction.

14. Reset all iPhone settings
Finally, if none of the solutions help, you can reset all settings, which will most likely solve the brightness issue.
If you ever replaced your broken iPhone screen at an unauthorized Apple Store, chances are the screen is not an original one. Sure, it might have saved you a few dollars, but non-Apple displays can have lower screen brightness and other problems (like errors, popups, etc., in iPhone settings, disabled Face ID, and more).
To fix this, take your iPhone to an Apple Store or Apple-authorized service center and get it inspected.
FAQs related to iPhone screen

In bright sunlight, all displays struggle to offer a good viewing experience. But once you follow the above solutions and set the screen brightness to maximum, it should be viewable. Also, newer iPhone models have a higher peak brightness and better display quality, giving them an edge over older iPhones when used in sunlight.

Windows is what fueled this era of computing – at least for the general consumers – it made enough money to make Bill Gates the richest man alive, and from there it has traveled a long journey adding and removing features.
Over the decades, it has added a multitude of features and removed several others in the pursuit of staying ahead of its competition and always innovating.
Its users have been loyal to it – mostly because it is the most used operating system around and therefore the most familiar and easy to use. However, it has also bloated itself with its legacy at the same time.
Windows comes with hundreds of features that you might never use but are required to just be there for legacy support – making Windows is an extremely complicated operating system to build and maintain.
These complexities only get in the way when you try to upgrade to the latest and great version of Windows – something that would result in loss of data if it was not for the amazing upgrade feature of Windows.
It isn’t perfect though – one of the examples of its failures is when the upgrade process fails to install the default Windows 10 apps during the upgrade. This guide will help you attempt to fix the issue – it is not hard to do.
What can I do if Windows 10 default apps missing? Many users reported that their default apps are missing on Windows 10. This can be a problem, and speaking of app problems, here are some of the most common issues that users reported:
Windows 10 apps missing from Start Menu – According to users, sometimes your apps can become missing from the Start Menu. This can happen if you have God Mode enabled, so be sure to disable this feature and check if that solves the issue.
Windows 10 default apps not working – Sometimes your default apps won’t work at all on Windows 10. If this happens, you might have to reinstall them in order to fix this issue.
Windows 10 default apps won’t open – Many users reported that default apps won’t open on their PC. This can be a big problem, but you can fix it by repairing or resetting your apps.
Windows 10 default apps not installed – This is another common problem that you can encounter. If this happens, you just need to download the affected applications again, and the issue should be resolved.
Windows 10 default apps corrupted – Sometimes your applications can get corrupted. To fix the problem, you might have to create a new user profile or roll back to the previous Windows build.
1. Use PowerShell to reinstall the missing applicationsThis simple 3 step process should install and register the default Windows 10 apps for you.
When you press Enter it might look like it’s not doing anything but you must give it some time to download the applications and install them once again.
You might need to restart your computer in some cases for it to affect – but it should work without a restart in most cases.
2. Disable God ModeHowever, many users reported that God Mode can also cause Windows 10 default apps to become missing.
3. Perform a Clean bootIf this problem occurs after installing a new build, first you need to go back to the previous build. After doing that, you need to perform a Clean boot. This is quite simple and you can do it by following these steps:
Once your PC restarts, all third-party applications, and services will be disabled. Now you just need to wait for Windows to install the new build again. Once the new build installs, check if the problem is resolved.
If needed, you can install the update manually using the Media Creation Tool. To do that, just follow these steps:
Expert tip:
4. Turn of your antivirus before upgradingThis issue can appear if you install a new build of Windows 10 while your antivirus is still running in the background.
Sometimes third-party antiviruses can interfere with your files and that can cause Windows 10 default apps to disappear after the upgrade.
Keep in mind that you can go back to the older build only 10 days after the upgrade. If this option isn’t available, you might have to use System Restore to go back to the previous build.
Once you roll back to the previous version you should disable your antivirus and try to upgrade again. Several users suggested that you might have to uninstall your antivirus in order to fix this problem.
Once you uninstall it, the upgrade process should be completed smoothly and without any issues.
If everything works after the upgrade, you should install your antivirus again or consider switching to a more well-balanced security solution.
We thankfully have access to plenty of good options for Windows 10 compatible antivirus software that use up-to-date technology to protect your PC.
You can find good third-party antivirus software that can fit your specific security requirements. There are very many powerful options regardless of your budget or system resources.
5. Create a new user accountIf default apps are missing on your PC, you might be able to fix the problem simply by creating a new user account. This is quite simple and you can do it by following these steps:
After creating a new user account, switch to it, and check if your apps are still missing. If not, you might have to start using the new account instead of your main one.
Several users are also suggesting to switch back to the older build, create a new user account, and use that account while upgrading to a new build.
6. Repair the applicationIf certain applications are missing, you might be able to fix the problem simply by repairing them. Applications can get corrupted, but you can fix them by doing the following:
Now repeat these steps for all affected applications. Keep in mind that some applications don’t have the Repair option available, so your only option might be to reset them.
Missing apps can be a problem, but we hope that you managed to solve this issue by using one of our solutions.
