While the release of a Samsung Galaxy S5 wouldn’t seem to be all that near – surprise – rumor would have it that the company is planning an outing party much earlier in the year than in past generations. What we’re to understand about this device thus far comes from a variety of sources – 3rd party and in some cases straight from Samsung – leading us to believe that this will be a revolutionary device far more of a step up than the Galaxy S4 was over the Galaxy S III. This all begins with a “2K display” up front.
While early on in 2013 we saw the “4K display” keyword popping up more than just a few times during events like CES 2013 and MWC 2013, it was late 2013 where we saw the technology put to best use: with video games. NVIDIA showed off 4K gaming with Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and we oohed and ahhed.
Now Samsung has suggested that they’ll be releasing a smartphone inside 2014 with a so-called “2K display”. This “2K” name has a set of pixels associated with it: 1440 x 2560. If this resolution is delivered with a 5-inch display or even a 5.2-inch display, the resulting density would be well beyond even the sharpest smartphones on the market today at or above 560 pixels-per-inch.
Today’s Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 work with 1080p displays.
Another tip in the pipeline is the suggestion – again from Samsung – that they’ll be bringing ISOCELL camera technology to their devices inside 2014. The same as what’s said about the 2K display for a smartphone can be assumed here: the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the one hero device where it’s most likely to appear first.
NOTE: details on the ISOCELL camera come from a Samsung Analyst Day set of documents which also inform us of the oncoming 2K display push. Another report from ZDNet Korea suggests Samsung’s production of 2K displays is well underway.
With ISOCELL technology, Samsung is aiming to bring as much attention to their camera quality as they have for the past few years to their displays. They’ve gotten an abundance of attention with their Samsung Galaxy Camera and other convergence products over the past 12 months, so it makes a lot of sense for them to continue the crossover between high-quality camera and high-quality smartphone.
The same Korea-based report suggests that Samsung will be taking greater care to implement its eye-tracking capabilities in this release. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will quite likely bring a whole extra level of security implementation with eye-scanning and facial recognition, this after several generations of Google’s Android being able to see a face and unlock a phone.
Alongside the Samsung Galaxy S5 it’s almost guaranteed there’ll be a device called the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. Similar implementation of waterproofing and dustproofing will allow this slightly more anytime-use device to thrive.
While some reports have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would be revealed during Mobile World Congress 2014, it’s far more likely – based on the past several years of Samsung releases – that it’ll be appearing at its own unique event.

STEP 2: INSTALL LATEST DRIVERYou must have proper and working driver installed on your windows computer to be able to successfully root your Samsung Galaxy S5. If you are not sure, check the link below.

Power off your phone first and wait for 6-7 seconds after display is off.
Press and hold these 3 buttons together until you see Warning! screen: Volume Down + Power + Home.
If you don’t get the Added! message, here are some troubleshooting tips:
Make sure you have installed driver for Galaxy S5 as said above.
If you have already installed driver, then uninstall them and reinstall back.
Connect using a different USB port on your PC.
Try a different USB cable. The original cable that came with your phone should work best, if not, try any other cable that’s new and of good quality.
Reboot phone and PC and then try again.
Load the recovery file (extracted in Step 1) into Odin as instructed below:
Now in the Option section of Odin, make sure that Re-Partition box is unchecked. (Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes remain checked, while all other boxes remain unchecked.)
Double check the above two steps.
If you see FAIL message instead of the RESET or PASS in Odin’s top left box, that’s a problem. Try this now: disconnect your Galaxy S5 from PC, close Odin, remove phone’s battery and put it back inside in 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 3 of this guide again.
Also, If device is Stuck at setup connection or on any other process, then too, try this: disconnect your Galaxy S5 from PC, close Odin, remove phone’s battery and put it back inside in 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 3 of this guide again.
NOTE: It may happen that your phone doesn’t automatically boot into recovery and root your phone. In that case follow the following above procedure except that in Step 7, Auto Reboot option is un-checked and then the instructions below:
Pull out the battery and re-insert it.

Enable Call Recording On Samsung Galaxy S5 Yourself With This Hack!
Call recording is one of the basic feature on the Smartphones that lets you record the call, to either gather your memories with your beloved ones or for the future references. However, call recording is not legal in some of the world, most countries and states allow to record the voice calls without any jurisdictional restrictions while in some parts you can record the calls with the permission of either of the party even when you’re not in the conversation.
But some parts really believe that call recording is a considerable threat to the privacy of the citizens, so they have to ban it entirely. Unfortunately, smart phone makers are the ones who are in utter dilemma whether or not to include the call recording feature in their devices, and it is not possible to design the devices based on the regions except for a few niche markets where the smart phone makers are interested to release different variants of international devices.
In this gloomy situation, most international smart phone makers are doing what’s best as a whole, that’s leaving out the call recording option entirely or disabling it based on the regions. The later option is opted by most companies, of which Samsung is one. So if you find the call recording option missing on your device, don’t be worried about that as the option is just disabled and you can enable it if you’ve got some expertise in that area.
tdunham, from XDA community has made such an attempt to enable call recording on the Galaxy S5 which includes a simple hack. The hack is based on the Galaxy S5 deodexed ND2 firmware but hopefully it should work on other S5 variants as well, but it’s your decision to test it and we are not responsible for any misfortunes. Just follow the simple guide below to enable the call recording on your Galaxy S5. Make sure to take a nandroid backup on your device before performing this hack.
ENABLE CALL RECORDING ON GALAXY S5
The whole Smaling and Backsmaling concept is a little crowded and can’t be written in this exclusive hack guide, so we suggest you to get some idea on it from the XDA thread provided below.

So let’s get on with the guide now.
Method 1:
Retrieve the InCallUI.apk from the system app folder and get the smali files from the chúng tôi file using smaling technique.

STEP 2: INSTALL THE LATEST CWM/TWRP RECOVERY
Skip this step if you already have latest version of CWM or TWRP recovery installed on your device.
Make sure that you’ve latest version of the recovery installed on your device.
Older versions of CWM and TWRP recoveries are not working with Android 4.4 based ROMs, throwing installation errors and WiFi bugs, therefore you need to use the latest version of either recovery.

STEP 3: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
DOWNLOADSDownload the file given below and transfer it to a separate folder on your phone and remember the location.

Be sure to transfer the ROM and Gapps files you downloaded above to your phone and remember the location of the files.

GUIDE FOR FLASHING ROM IN CWM RECOVERY
Boot into recovery mode. If you’re rooted, the easiest way to boot into recovery mode would be using the QuickBoot app. If not rooted, then follow the instructions below:
Power off your device and wait for 5-10 seconds until the device is fully switched off.

Create a Nandroid Backup from recovery. It’s optional but very important to do, so that in case something goes wrong you can restore to current status easily. For making a Nandroid Backup, go to Backup And Restore » Backup.
Perform a full clean-up of the device (This will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). For this:
Select Wipe data/Factory reset, then select Yes on the next screen to confirm factory reset (screenshot).
Select Wipe Cache Partition, then select Yes on the next screen to confirm wiping cache.
First Install the ROM file:
Select Install zip » Choose zip from sdcard (or external sdcard, you know where your files are) » browse to the location where you saved the file and select the ROM file.
└ Make sure to first flash the ROM file and then the Gapps file.
Reboot your device. For this, go back to the main menu of recovery and select reboot system now.
That’s all. Your phone will now reboot and it will take some time as it’ll be phone’s first boot after installing Android 4.4, be extremely excited for this!
Note: In case your device gets bootloop (stuck at logo while rebooting), just do a factory reset (step 3) and you will be fine.
GUIDE FOR TWRP RECOVERY USERS
Boot into recovery mode. If you’re rooted, the easiest way to boot into recovery mode would be using the QuickBoot app. If not rooted, then follow the instructions below:
Power off your device and wait for 5-10 seconds until the device is fully switched off.

First Install the ROM file:

That’s all. Your phone will now reboot and it will take some time as it’ll be phone’s first boot after installing Android 4.4, be extremely excited for this!
