Suggested January 2024 What Causes Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page Bsod? How To Fix It
When the system identifies variation in a single bit of information while transmitting the data, it runs the bug check with the Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page error.
As the name suggests, this error is mostly due to hardware faults, especially the memory. However, it may not always be the case. Several software corruption and driver faults may cause the hardware to malfunction resulting in the Blue screen.
We have compiled a list of fixes that can help you get rid of this BSOD in your computer.
Some of the major cause of this error in your system are given below:
Faulty drivers
Improper shutdown of computer
Corruption of system files
Memory error, both physical and virtual
Faulty Operating system
Interference by external peripherals
Faulty BIOS
If you are not able to get to the desktop due to the BSOD loop, you will have to boot into safe mode.
Now let’s go through the fixes right away.
Windows have provided the fast startup feature to speed up the boot process. When you enable the fast startup, the system saves the current state to a hibernation file during the shutdown. So, it does not have to load the configuration, Windows kernel, and drivers in the next startup.
But this feature may cause the hardware to malfunction as they are not closed properly. As a result, this can lead to the Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page error.
You can solve this by simply disabling the feature. Let’s see how to do it.
Restart your PC to see if the problem still persists. In addition to disabling Fast startup, it is also better not to keep the system in sleep mode for a long time. This keeps some hardware running continuously, which can lead to the BSOD error.
The PC hardware is operated and optimized by their respective drivers. So, when these drivers get outdated or corrupted, the hardware may malfunction.
You should update all the drivers on your computer. If you are using an Intel CPU, then updating Intel Management Engine Interface has solved the issue for most users. Let’s go through the process stepwise.
Restart your computer and observe whether the BSOD appears again. If the BSOD still persists, you need to uninstall the drivers completely and re-install them.
Windows 10 brought improvements in a lot of features in comparison to earlier versions. But there were some issues, such as the Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page, that the users experienced immediately after the upgrade.
But Microsoft fixed the bug in their later updates. So, if you have just installed Windows 10 and have not updated it yet, you may also be experiencing the BSOD. So, you should first perform a Windows update to receive the healthy update. It will also update the drivers to their stable version if the drivers are causing the problem.
Reboot your computer to find the problem fixed.
The system files may corrupt whenever you install incompatible or buggy programs or through a Malware infection. Sometimes, inappropriate computer shutdown can also damage the system files. This can deteriorate the compatibility between the hardware and their drivers, leading to the Blue screen error.
Let’s see how you can fix the corrupt files in Windows.
Perform System ScansYou need to perform a DISM scan, SFC scan, and CHKDSK scan to repair the system files and fix the disk errors. DISM scan collects healthy DLL files from Windows updates, and SFC scan replaces the damaged files with these healthy ones. CHKDSK scan checks the storage drive for any error and fixes it.
Let’s move on to perform them.
Perform Registry Repair by In-place UpgradeRunning the repair scans as above does not repair the broken registry entries. For that, you can perform an in-place upgrade using the ISO file of Windows. It installs the OS without deleting your apps and files and repairs the damage.
You need first to obtain the Windows ISO file of the same edition, architecture, and same or later build. Let’s move on with the process.
See if the Windows shows the blue screen again.
The Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page is mostly caused by some issues in the memory, either physical or virtual. So, you need to see if there are any memory errors. Let’s see the ways to do it.
Run Windows Memory Diagnostic ToolYou can perform the Windows Memory Diagnostic test to find both physical and virtual memory errors.
You can try clearing the page file and reseating the RAM to fix some of the memory errors detected by the diagnostic tool.
Clear Page FileWindows stores some application information to the storage device in a Page file if the RAM reaches its capacity. This is also called virtual memory. If there is any issue in the Page file, then the system may detect a memory error.
You can clear the Page file to remove all the corrupted data in it if any. Please follow the instructions below to do so.
Restart your system to see if the problem is solved.
Inspect and Reseat RAMIf clearing virtual memory did not do the job, you will have to inspect your physical memory. So, let’s disassemble your system and see if the RAM has any errors.
Check if the BSOD still appears.
Windows 10 started the feature of memory compression that compresses the information available in the RAM to increase RAM space. It does so whenever the memory space starts decreasing. Memory compression prevents lag and helps in the smooth operation of our computer.
But this feature is known to create some memory issues as well. Thus, disabling memory compression in Windows solves the Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page error most of the time.
Let’s see how you can do it.
Restart your system to apply the changes. Examine if the Blue screen has gone away.
As the Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page error is usually caused due to interruption of data transmission in the middle, the external peripherals may be interfering with the process. If the external hardware is infected with malware or is damaged, it can cause the hardware driver to malfunction.
So, you should remove any Flash drive, speakers, USBs, or other peripherals and restart your system. See if the Blue screen goes away after removing the device.
If there is some bug in the BIOS version, it may cause the handshake between the hardware and their drivers to malfunction. This can result in a Blue screen error in your system.
You can update the BIOS to improve the hardware compatibility in your system if the new BIOS version provides that. But updating BIOS is quite risky as it may permanently brick your system if not taken some precautions. So, we have prepared a separate guide for updating the BIOS safely to help you.
As we mentioned earlier, Windows 10 had a few bugs that caused this BSOD. In the same way, there may be a few issues in your Operating system, and your hardware might be totally fine.
In such a case, you need to perform a Windows reset to fix the issue. Let’s see how you can do it.
After the reset completes, check for the Blue screen error. If it does not solve, you can perform a clean installation of Windows.

What Is Double Nat And How To Fix It On A Network
Anyone that has ever played a game online knows what a NAT type is – and they usually don’t have good implications, as NAT errors tend to prevent people from playing together. The problem only gets worse when dealing with a double NAT.
Double NAT isn’t necessarily bad. You might not even notice it though it can give you some unforeseen problems with some applications and hardware. Some of them are related to services that need UPnP (Universal Plug-and-Play) support or manual port forwarding.
Table of Contents
But what exactly is a Double NAT and how can you fix the issues that can arise? Let’s answer both questions here.
What is a Double NAT?NAT is short for Network Address Translation. This is how your router translates the public IP–the overall network provided by your Internet Service Provider–to the private IP address for your computer and home network. The router is responsible for the NAT.
When you add a second router to the network, you create a second NAT. In many cases, having a double NAT doesn’t create problems–however, it does make port forwarding all but impossible and can cause issues with universal plug and play.
Remove the ISP Router From Your NetworkThe simplest solution for correcting a double NAT is to get rid of one of the routers that is causing the problem. If you have two routers plugged in, but you don’t really need one, just use your ISP’s provided router.
If you’re a power use, though, this solution likely isn’t the best option for you. ISP-provided routers lack features that more expensive options have. In that case, you can remove your ISP router from the network.
Connect the network cable from your modem to the WAN port on your personal router. Once you have plugged the network in, you will need to log into your router’s settings menu and configure it.
How to Configure Your RouterYou log into your router through a browser by typing your router’s IP address into the URL bar. Most routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default IP, but this varies. If you aren’t sure, you need to find the IP address of your router.
Bring up the command line terminal on your PC by typing cmd into Run. Once the terminal appears, type in ipconfig. In the screen that appears, scroll down until you find Default Gateway. The number beside that is the IP address of your router.
Once you find the address, you will need to log in using the username and password for your router. This is typically on the bottom of the device, but you can change the username and password off the default if you like.
Once you have logged in, you will need to change various settings, but these settings differ depending on your router and ISP. If you aren’t sure how to proceed, contact your ISP for assistance or check their website–the majority of service providers have detailed information available for users online.
Enable Bridge Mode on Your RouterAnother solution to the double NAT problem can be found in configuring Bridge Mode on your router. Bridge Mode disables the router’s NAT feature and allows it to act as a server without an IP address conflict–in other words, it passes along the settings of the initial router.
In some cases, you will not have access to this, especially if you use an ISP-provided router. You will have to call your ISP and request your router be placed into Bridge Mode. However, if you can configure the settings within your router, it’s an easy switch to make.
How to Fix Double NAT on XboxOne place where a double NAT does present a problem is in gaming. For example, many Xbox One users have experienced an error message that tells them a double NAT was detected on their network.
In gaming, you want an Open NAT, or Nat Type 1. This allows the widest range of compatibility and lets you join anyone’s game or session. If you have a Moderate NAT, or Nat Type 2, you can connect to most sessions but will have limited functionality.
NAT Type 3, or Strict NAT, is the problem. This makes it all but impossible to join someone’s game. Sure, single-player gaming is still an option, but trying to join an online match will pose difficulties.
A double NAT will create problems when trying to play anything multiplayer, and might even stop your Xbox from connecting to the internet. When you receive this error, you will need to eliminate the issue by either removing one of the routers or by enabling Bridge Mode as shown above.
Another solution is to connect the Xbox directly to your router with an Ethernet cable. In most cases, this will eliminate the double NAT issue–just use the first router on your network, not the second, as the hardwire point.
Fix Kernel Mode Heap Corruption Bsod On Windows 11/10
If you are receiving a KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION Blue Screen on Windows 11/10, then this post will help you resolve it. One of the primary reasons for this error is a conflict between Windows and an outdated driver or a corrupt Windows driver. Other known reasons include memory leaks or hardware faults. However, there is a rare chance where a software conflict can do that unless it has to do something with the drivers.
The KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION bug check has a value of 0x0000013A. This indicates that the kernel mode heap manager has detected corruption in a heap.
KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION BSODFollow these methods to resolve the BOSD related to Kernel Mode Heap Corruption.
Run ChkDsk
Use Device Verifier Manager
Update or Rollback Driver
Fix Corrupt System Files
Run Memory Diagnostics
Run Hardware Troubleshooter
You will need a clear understanding of what the methods do here and admin permission.
Moreover, if you can log in normally, good; else you will have to boot into Safe Mode, enter Advanced Startup options screen, or use the Installation Media to boot to be able to carry out these instructions.
1] Run ChkDskRun ChkDsk using the following command:
chkdsk c: /r 2] Device Verifier ManagerOne of the best methods to check if the driver is an issue is to run the Driver Verifier Manager. The tool will help troubleshoot, identify & resolve common device driver problems.
Open the Run prompt ( Win + R), type verifier, and then press the Enter key. Once the Device Verifier is open, select Create Standard settings and then select Automatically select unsigned drivers. This will narrow down the issue if it’s happening because of unsigned drivers. Once you detect it, uninstall the driver, and then reinstall the correct driver.
3] Update or Rollback DriverDepending on the situation, you can either update or roll back the driver and check if the BSOD issue is resolved.
If the BSOD occurred because you have recently updated the driver, you could roll back using the Device Manager. Use Win + X, followed by M to open the device manager. Next, locate the hardware for which you have updated the driver.
If the BSOD occurred after a Windows Update, then it’s possible that you need to install the latest version of the driver, which is compatible with the version of Windows.
4] Fix Corrupt System FilesSystem File Checker and DISM are two tools that can help fix corrupt system files that could be the cause of the BOSD screen. Follow our exhaustive guide on how to use them.
SFC command:
sfc /scannowDISM Command:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthFirst, run the SFC command; if that doesn’t work out, use the DISM command. Make sure to run them on an elevated command prompt.
5] Run Memory Diagnostics 6] Run Hardware TroubleshooterMicrosoft offers a built-in hardware troubleshooter that you can invoke using the following command on PowerShell or an elevated Command Prompt.
msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnosticThe wizard will then run its diagnostics. It may prompt to enable to check for an updated driver. Once done, if there is an issue with the driver, it will figure out and offer a solution.
I hope these solutions help you out with the BSOD related to Kernel Mode Heap Corruption on Windows 11/10. The issue is related to drivers, but it is always good to check for any recently installed software that can also cause the problem.
